Very disappointed the past few times I have shopped here. Let me first say the Clinique consultant and Rachel the consultant in the back of the store are Excellent. Super helpful, outgoing and professional. Now for the rest of the experience, it has been challenging. There are employees that are standing around conversing and when I ask for help it's almost an inconvenience because it seems they want to get back to their socializing. I have asked a few times for items and just pointed to the direction they might exist, with the exception of Rachel and the Clinique personal. As I browsed through the store there were lots of tags on items, deals, discounts, and % off. The Clinique person said if I make a purchase I get a gift. Once I got to the counter and asked the clerk they said " oh that promotion ended yesterday". Every item I put on the counter I was told the same thing, the promotion ended yesterday we just haven't had a chance to change the tags. I ended up only getting one item that apparently was still on sale. The lip gloss I use was advertised as on sale for the minis. When I brought the person to the display she looked it up and said they don't carry minis. Very disappointed. I also tried to return an item with another employee, but it was too late to return. The clerk never looked at me, I complimented their hair, they said they just got it done. I could not tell you the persons eye color because they kept their head down, didn't engage and I felt like I was an inconvenience. While it is very very bright and honestly I could understand if it's confusing to navigate unless you know exactly what you're looking for, I have never had any issues with this store. The staff are always friendly and helpful and it's always immaculate! read more

I had a gift card I wanted to use and I hoped since I was in this mall I could get some of what I wanted. I was DENIED..... Staff when you come in all say "Hello" that's a plus but just an FYI if you ask for help it's either fine or they are slight aloof about things. I will basically have to order all I want online and it's nothing esoteric. I found a few other things to use my gift card with but the staff gave me a hard time as I guess on the back of the gc you have to scratch off this silver stuff on the back I had issues and yea I got annoyed. Than I was asked if I wanted a manager. I was like I just wanna get this stuff and get the hell out. Anything I really wanted you were out of or don't carry in store. Than as I was trying to leave a staff member was on the phone as a few of us were trying to leave. Yea again I got a bit pissed off...why are you standing by the door and holding it while on the phone. This is why I'm becoming basically done w/ brick and mortar places like this cause most of the Ulta's are the same way you gotta order online and don't get me started on ordering and picking up. Stopped in yesterday to look for a product. Since it's a haul for me to get there, I ordered online first. All seemed well until my order was cancelled without explanation. Online, the product was shown to be available in-store. Based on that, I decided to go to look for it myself. After wandering around for 10 minutes with zero offer of assistance, I waited in line to ask where the product might be found. The clerk couldn't get the store device to work, so she asked another employee who replied flatly (and with some eyeroll) "we don't have that." The clerk found the product in the app on her personal phone and asked me if it was a L'Oreal product. Yes, it is. On hearing that, Mr. Eyeroll told her where to find it. We walked together to where the L'Oreal line was. She walked right past it. I stopped and pointed it out to her. Confirmed: the item was not there. As we walked to the front of the store, I suggested she find out who controlled the online inventory report to avoid stuff like this in the future. At that point she said she had checked the app and it was shown as not available there. That seemed strange. Why did we just walk to the shelf if you "knew" it wasn't there? As I left Mr. Eyeroll called out "You couldn't find it?" No, bi#ch, and I'm not giving you the satisfaction of acknowledging you. Back in my car, I checked the app to be sure I wasn't seeing things. Customer service seems to be lacking at this particular location. The buy online/purchase in store I have done three times now and each time have had had to wait for some time just get anyone's attention for help. This last time I had an order to pick up the employee made a comment "be nice if we had people working here". I didn't think the comment was really necessary in front of a customer. I would agree with another reviewer that the employees are aloof. If I need any products will probably get elsewhere. Not worth the hassle to go there. read more

went here last night to get a few products last night around 6-7 pm. from the second we walked in this one staff member was looking us up and down. we just ignored it and went to look for the items we were there to buy. i came across a perfume i wanted to buy, and noticed that the sampler was missing; i went up to the lady and asked if they had a sampler because i wanted to try it and she literally told me "go find one of the other 3 sol de janeiro stations around the store" instead of politely bringing me there or pointing. when it came time to check out i wanted to use a gift card, and oh my god what a mistake that was. the machine wasn't reading the magnetic strip on it so we had to swipe it until we had the pin option and had to manually enter it while the lady blamed it all on us. she was rolling her eyes THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE CHECKING OUT. don't even get me started on when we said maybe it was the card reader. not to mention the lady at the counter had one of the other employees doing all the work who seemed to look pregnant. how ignorant and lazy. will not be going back to this location. they are no help and the staff is rude. read more

This place makes me happy. The store is open and clean and bright and everyone here is happy. Honestly, it is nearly impossible to be miserable in this store. They have a ton of different brands and all of the make up you can imagine getting. The thing I love about here over other make up stores like Sephora is that they have items of every price point. I can get cover girl and I can get urban decay. The location is also really great. There are a ton of stores in the area so you can get everything you need and make a stop to make yourself feel a bit more beautiful. read more

There seems to be a gap in customer service quality between the daytime shift and night. And it is HUGE people. I cannot bring myself to give the place under 3 stars because of the other qualities that make up for the laziness I've found in the staff during the later hours of operation. Normally I can find the products on my own, and like another Yelper, (after circling the store 3 times!) I had to hunt down an employee and interrupt a socializing session. Ulta beauty products are normally on sale, so when the employee showed me where they had moved the hair care line to, I noticed that there weren't any promotional signs. HRMMM... I then asked if they were on special, and she just said "they should be". I then asked if they were B2G2 like they normally are. I buy the big girl bottles ok. That ish gets heavy when carrying four. She again said "they should be". I got the biggest waft of laziness pouring from her every pore. Like she couldn't get rid of me fast enough and away from my questions. Shes didn't even offer to get me a tote and just left me to struggle juggling four 30+oz bottles! So "eff her" I thought to myself, and continued to make my way to the counter to pay for my items..and use my coupon! The employee at the counter was much more pleasant. I asked her if the hair care line was on sale. She had to ring all the bottles up first in order to confirm...and she confirmed they were NOT! UGH. So I then just purchased my two other items and used my coupon that also had rewards points on it...which she did not advise me how they can be redeemed. Love the products and the daytime staff. Just please do something about these snot noses at night! It seems that only Webster has people who actually care about their clientele. Come on Victor and Hellrietta! i don't typically write reviews but in this case, I felt compelled. I visited about 2 weeks ago on a Monday, late morning. I was looking for a temporary hair color that I saw advertised on the Internet I thought I'd try it. After searching for the product for about 10 min I finally had to interrupt 2 employees who were chatting to help me. They rudely said they do not carry it and have never heard of it and we unwilling to make a suggestion for another product they do carry. I left the store empty handed and headed right over to Sephora, where they did happily assist me! Why do you hire people who do not want to assist customers?? Very rude, for a second I thought I was in WalMart! read more

I came to this location because it was a little more convenient than going to Sephora deep in the mall. Mistake. I was not greeted my entire time in the store, there were multiple associates who saw me. I had questions about products they carried and was left to figure it all out. I spent 15 minutes in the skincare section, with no assistance. Having worked in customer service, especially retail, I was extremely turned off by this. I was down to drop some money on skincare too. To top it all off, as I was leaving, not one associate even said goodbye! I will NEVER cheat on Sephora again. Unless I need some shape tape concealer, and I definitely will NOT come to this location. read more

Love this place because of the central location to a lot of other great stores. Recently had a micro-zone repair facial done with Melany. It took about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. So just had the worst experience iv EVER had at an Ulta! My friend and I went in to buy a ton of products for her wedding look that we were working on. So obviously we wanted to try every component on. So I proceed to trial on primers, foundations, concealers and powders. The manger (not that she introduced herself or anything, we would find that out later) passed us and asked if we needed help to which we politely said no thank you we are just trying to get an idea of products we want for my friend's wedding day look. She made a screwball face at us and left. Oh she asked if I was A make up artist. I said no. She again made a face. So I'll pause to say every other employee there we encountered was very very delightful. The girl working at the salon even agreed to hang up our coats when we told her we were going to be there awhile trying on a variety of stuff to find the right look, she said sure no problem. Ok back to the insane manager.... So I'm finishing up the foundation and contouring on my friends face when that same manger comes back for the third time and this time says " you two will have to get your coats because you aren't real customers at the salon back there so we can't be responsible for your costs" That was the last straw, we got up, put back the collection of stuff we had picked out to purchase (a variety of products) and headed to the back of the store to get our coats. As we were handed out coats by the original girl who took them, we asked if the lady who what been harassing us was the manager. She hung her head and said "yea" without even asking who we were talking about. We told the girl well tell your manager we were about to buy a ton of product but now because of the way she treated us we are leaving and will be giving our money to Sephora. And that's exactly what we did... Where we spent almost an hour trying different eye and lip products and didn't get hassled once and were actually treated like customers and helped with several items. While this experience doesn't turn me off Ulta (because I have been to several locations and always had a very nice experience, spending lots of time trailing and sampling) I will say DONT GO TO THE Victor location !!! The manager clearly has no concept of Customer relations nor the basic concept of a make up store where the whole damn point is to trial products to figure out what you want. And frankly she just seems like a rude human being and probably shouldn't be working in retail period. And truthfully speaking this whole thing did make me that much more apt to find a Sephora instead. read more

This place is STILL a mystery to me. You walk in and beyond asking you if you need any help- the staff is fairly clueless. Most of what I come in looking for is not available for one reason or another. The staff seems more interested in chatting with each other. I have been in here a dozen times and STILL have no idea what they are doing in the back. Is it a salon? A makeup station where you pay? No idea. Shouldn't that be clear with signage and enthusiastic staff sharing with customers what their services are? Can I get some help finding my shade? Are they even trained and qualified for that? No clue and that's a problem. I also hate the way Ulta displays makeup all the way to the floor leaving you hanging upside down, squatting or on the floor to look for your color or read a label. No to mention that the endcap displays that are next to the window are in DIRECT SUNLIGHT! Intense sunlight! The products in this area are visibly dried out. They do have great coupons and occasionally I will get a friendly cashier who throws in a ton of samples with my order which is a nice bonus. Basically, this store has driven me to buy online more often. read more

Since she was not helping a customer, I asked her the location of a product, expecting her to point the way. However, she immediately left the counter to accompany me and made helpful suggestions about which products might be helpful, even mentioning a discount that could be applied at the register. I came in here after I was done at the gym so I wasn't looking the best. I immediately got the vibe that I wasn't wanted by the employees. I shop at ulta all the time and I am always greeted with a "hello, can I help you find anything today?" And today all I got was dirty looks and when I asked for help i got an eye roll and a snarky comment. The cashier seemed to want nothing to do with me even though I spent about $80 on two things. I started going to Ulta in Victor because I liked their sales and it was a one-stop shop kind of deal as opposed to going to Sephora. My first experience was ok, but the second and third time I went there really sealed the deal of not going back. I had signed up to get rewards prior to going my first time, but when I checked to see how many I had before I went the third time, I realized that they had not been putting in my phone number when they asked. When I went the third time and brought it up, the cashier checked my account, said that they had the right phone number, and said "You should really check on that," laughing like I was in the wrong. Check on what? Is it not her JOB to set up rewards, check on it and give me answers? She was completely rude and unhelpful. I also made an appointment in person my second time there, and they completely messed up the date and booked it 1 month in advance, blamed it on me, when I even have the card they give out saying the appointment date and time. read more
