I booked here based on the great Yelp reviews and really just took a chance on letting them choose a stylist for me. Before I get into the great work that Megan did, I'll start from the beginning. First, don't get turned off by the kind of bleak exterior. It is really nice inside with a cool industrial vibe. Fringe texted me about 15 minutes prior to my appointment letting me know that I should check in via text and wait in my car until they were ready for me. Once I got the text, I walked in and was promptly greeted by the woman who took my temperature and shampooed my hair. I wish she had introduced herself, because she gave me a wonderful scalp massage while prepping me for my cut. Then, I met Megan who was super kind and chill. She consulted on my typical cut/style (as my hair had gone quite a while without a good cut). She walked me through every step that she was doing to get my requested style (which is pretty simply, low-maintenance). She was very conscientious of starting slow and ensuring that she didn't take too much off. I'm not typically one to really style my hair, but she put a nice little loose wave in it that I got a few compliments on during the day :) She showed me the products she used when I asked but did not try to up-sell, which is definitely a plus for me in my books. On a side note, I saw a couple of men getting cuts while I was there. The stylists were doing a really good job on those as well. I highly recommend Fringe and Megan W - she will be my new go-to stylist!

They offer top-tier services and have well-trained hairdressers. I usually just ask for a trim and an eyebrow wax and they always do a fantastic job. I've also gotten my hair colored before by Nicole and she did an amazing job, I just think looking back on it that the color wasn't for me. But she's great for blondes. Everyone there is always super friendly and seem genuinely interested in getting to know me. I usually have a different person each time and they all have been super kind. The inside is also super nice and and very clean which is always important. I highly recommend this salon if you care a lot about quality when it comes to your hair.

A family member who is a long term client here recently underwent chemo resulting in some hair loss and hair thinning. She remains vulnerable to infection so an ordinary trip to the salon was out of the question. Her stylist first swung by her home and dropped off a catalog with wig options and then arranged to assess and cut her hair in a private room at the salon. Let's talk about that...hair loss for females is particularly trying and emotional. Her stylist was compassionate and comforting and worked meticulously to preserve her remaining hair while crafting a style that would be consistent with her taste and would require no hair drying while covering thinnest. She allowed family members into her small work space to provide emotional support while providing a steady stream of hair advice and encouragement. The style was cute and made the most of what she had. This kind hearted soul assured her that if she had more loss and needed it shorter, she could come back the next day or whenever. I am floored by this level of caring and compassion.

They're all super friendly and make it easy to communicate what I want done. They've even helped me pick out products that work great for my hair (Mitch Double Hitter and Tea Tree Shaping Cream). Every now and then I'll treat myself to a massage and pedicure too. Very relaxing, the perfect antidote for the toll my high stress career takes on me. We are both long time clients of the salon and spa. I no longer get my hair styled there as my stylist opened her own salon, but will occasionally visit for spa pampering or product purchases. I would like to start my review by saying my Signature Spa Pedicure experience with Meagan was excellent. The service lasted 60 minutes as described and my feet looked and felt great! to her. However, my friend a long time and regular hair and spa client had a different experience. While she was happy with her pedicure, her service was approximately half the time. While finishing up her technician even made a point to explain to my friend that my technician was new therefore slower. Feeling confused and giving my friend's technician the benefit of the doubt we decided to inquire whether my friend was mistakenly booked for an Express Pedicure which is described as a 30 minute service. The main difference between the two is the length of time and a minor difference is you elect a scrub OR lotion. Both reception and the salon manager confirmed my friend received a Signature Spa Pedicure because she had all the listed services and also reiterated that my technician was new, therefore still learning and slower. I equate this to signing up for a 60 minute massage and it only lasting 30 minutes then told because it was full body it was in fact a 60 minute massage even though it lasted 30 minutes. This is upsetting for my friend essentially paid an extra $18 for one extra application and was left sitting half the time while I continued to get pampered. Also when reception checked out us out before we even approached the desk or asking how we'd like to pay. She debited both our credits on file even though my friend intended to treat for my birthday. While I planned on paying for my own service, but they shouldn't assume. Overall I would advise anyone seeking a pedicure to save yourself $18 and opt for an Express Pedicure and apply lotion yourself at the end. To Simply Swank treat your new stylists/trainees AND long time regular customers better.
