Took my daughter here to get her makeup done for homecoming. She came out looking like an overweight drag queen. Her words, not mine. But she wasn't far off. This is after during the process mom and her told the beauty specialist they weren't happy with the amount of foundation being used. It's 14 year old skin, they don't need that much makeup nor should they be wearing that much. And to make matters worse the lady told my daughter she is not taking care of her face appropriately and if she uses their product she wouldn't have acne. And don't get me started on the dark lipstick she put on. Hours were spent after to get her looking right. Complete botch! read more

I have discovered the best hairstylist at this location -- Jennifer! She is so knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about her clients. Unlike many hairstylists who don't listen and just do whatever they want, Jennifer takes the time to really understand what you want and makes sure you're educated about what she's doing. She always explains the process and helps you know what to expect so there are no surprises -- just amazing results! Another thing I love is that she never pushes products on you. She'll let you know what she's using in case you're interested, but there's never any pressure, which I really appreciate. Jennifer is not only an excellent hairstylist but also a genuinely good person. My hair has never looked better -- I get so many compliments! I couldn't be happier to have found her. This is a great new location! I'm glad to have another Ulta So close to my home. This is probably a 12 minute drive for me. It's also with a bunch of new stores in the West Bay Plaza. My first visit was for the 21 days of beauty. I was greeted by several staff members as soon as I walked in the door and the place was pretty busy. I was trying on a new foundation that was on sale and the staff was super helpful. I was attempting to put on the foundation with one of those crappy old sponges that they used in the 80s for foundation application when a staff member came up and offered me a buffing brush. It definitely helped out with the application. One of the staff members helped me pick out the right color foundation by standing far away lol I told one of the ladies that I was going to be on vacation for one of the days of beauty that I wanted an item from in there wouldn't be in alto nearby so she actually gave me a coupon for free shipping so I can order it online that day. This store is great and I'll definitely be coming in again. Super great location as well! read more

This store is fairly new and is pretty similar to most Ulta Beauty stores. It is big an open and has popular brands such as Urban Decay and Benefit as well as more affordable brands like their own Ulta brand. I was happy to find out that the product I was in search of was there and was on sale! "Ulta Beauty Classic Felt Tip Liner Black". It is normally $9.00 but today was $5.00! Yey! read more

I fell in love with this women at this store! Talk about a fabulous staff! I will only be returning to this ulta Beauty from now on! I was visiting my boyfriends family and will drive the 1hr and 30min drive to come here. Angela assisted us and was so incredibly helpful! I have to say, I'm so glad I gave Ulta another shot. I had a really bad experience at another Ulta salon and when this location opened up, I thought well, why not let me try. Well... that was the best thing ever. The whole store staff has been amazing, fun, and most importantly so helpful. Let me start with Gabby, I was roaming around one day and she asked if she could help me find something. After chatting a while about my dark circles she showed me IT cosmetics concealer, she even tried it on me... holy crap...it's a total game changer! The stuff is amazing and believe me I've tried everything. Second, the salon... wow!! The girls in there are all so talented and knowledgeable, Ciera rocks, but Jen.. oh man she is fabulous. This store is organized and clean, similar to the ULTA store near my home in Strongsville but unlike mine carries the lipsticks I love from Anastasia Beverly Hills so I decided to stop in and pick one up. I walked in with my mom, there didn't seem to be many other shoppers in the store at that time. A few of the workers were talking to one another and did not greet us. No big deal. I was walking around looking for a concealer and the lipstick I had planned to get, and I was offered help from one of the workers- she seemed friendly and she smiled. I told her I was fine and then she proceeded to follow me (a few feet away) as I walked down the aisles. I'm not as familiar with this store's layout so it took me longer to find exactly what I was looking for. I asked her for a makeup wipe because I had swatched a few lipsticks on my hand, to which she stated "umm..." and shrugged then walked away. I know that ULTAs tend to have areas with alcohol and makeup remover on their end caps so I walked toward one and then she came over and gave me something to use for my hand. My mom was looking for an Urban Decay foundation and asked one of the girls who was chatting near the registers. The worker responded "oh I don't know what that is we don't carry that." My mom, surprised, stated "you don't know what Urban Decay is???" Then another worker chimed in and said "oh yes we have UD I'll show you". Kind of frustrating to just be dismissed when asking for help. If the girl didn't understand what she was asking for she could've just simply asked for clarification. To state "I don't know what that is..." when you're working in a beauty supply store just makes you look incompetent and flat out rude. Not everyone knows everything, but if she truly didn't know she should've made effort to find out. Not great service in this location. I'll stick with Strongsville. read more
