This review has nothing to do with my facial treatment, it has to do with the way this location handles their booking and customer service. I booked a facial online the night before and got a call and voicemail the morning of my appointment telling me that the therapist I was booked with was a tier 3 therapist and that there would be an additional charge of $25.00. In addition, I was told that because it was the same day, I would not be able to cancel my appointment and would be charged the full amount if I didn't show up for the appointment. I went back and looked at their website and no where on their site does it indicate that there could be this additional charge. When I arrived for my appointment, the two ladies at the front desk greeted me nicely. I started to explain my concerns about their additional fees and the no cancellation policy and immediately the one woman said - hold on let me get my manager. The manager came up and I explained the situation to her. She admitted that nowhere on their website does it indicate there could be additional charges due to different locations having different therapist structures and offered a free upgrade that was worth $12. From the start, I wasn't there to try to get anything for free from them but more so wanted to share what a negative tone and experience it was from a customer's perspective. I waited in the lobby for a few minutes and while doing so, the two receptionists were a bit unprofessional talking about their personal lives, diets and even eating food at the front desk. (Which is not what I would expect at a spa/massage business.) Also, while waiting, another customer came to the front desk to pay for the services she had just received and mentioned that the bed warmer in her room wasn't working. Again, the manager was called up to the front desk and she basically told her they have been too busy today with clients that they haven't been able to fix it. I'm sorry but if I'm paying $90-100 for an hour-long treatment and the bed warmer wasn't working, I would hope that someone would tell me that in advance and give me the opportunity to reschedule. The facial I received from Samantha was wonderful. However, the experience I had with this specific location is questionable and I hope management would do better. read more

The facial I had here was Amazing. It was so Amazing that I went through an extra five minutes and signed up to get monthly facials. Kind of unlike me to get a monthly subscription to anything but it was that good. What I Loved most is that Gabriella started by exfoliating and massaging my whole face. I was unaware how much tension someone can hold in the face. She really took time to massage and I felt like she was scrubbing all the dirt and tension away. I have very sensitive skin and they use a line called Dermalogica. Wow! The moisturizer felt like pure hydration. I had no burning as I had with previous facial. She used a oatmeal mask and it smelled good. I have a scowl after many years of bartending and she really spent time massaging it...it felt so good and released some tension. Over all experience was beyond expectations. On a whim I looked up massages near me and they already had great reviews. I remembered going to a different location for a massage and having a nice experience so I wanted to try again. From start to finish everything was amazing. I even signed up for a membership. Scheduling Yelp said it was about 5 minutes before they were closing when I called to schedule. I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best because I really needed a massage the next day. I don't usually wait so late to book appointments, but my circumstances were extenuating. When I called the representative was very cheerful and made me feel calm. I did not feel rushed at all. They got me scheduled for the next afternoon in less than 5 minutes. Gave me all the information I needed and even helped me to get the intro rate since it was my first time at this specific location. The venue The location was easy to find and parking is near by. The lobby smelled amazing and looked very clean. The seats were comfortable and the representatives at the front desk were friendly and dressed well. The experience Because of my needs they paired me with a tier 1 therapist which was a bit extra. They had already explained cost to me when scheduling the appointment so there were no surprises. Sign in was quick and electronic (on an ipad) which I enjoyed. They had many different stylus pens to use as well. I was directed to the restroom before my appointment. The restroom also smelled amazing and was very clean. The lights was not too dim, but also not bright which helped to get me into a zen space. My therapist Courtney was waiting for me when I exited the bathroom which was nice because it was my first time there. She called me by my name which was also nice. We spoke for a moment about what I was looking for and she listened to me very carefully. She made me feel very calm and comfortable since I came with a lot of problem areas. The massage was excellent. She made sure I was comfortable throughout my time. There was even complimentary aroma therapy. I chose the lavender scent and it was very nice. The music was not too distracting. The lights were very low and added to the wonderful ambiance. The chair that my therapist was using was a little scratchy as she rolled around the table, but I was able to focus on other things. Her hands were very soft and she always asked how the pressure was. I enjoyed every moment of my massage and decided this is a great spa to come back to! I hope this review helps others. read more

They claim they called several times the day before, they only called 2 times and left no message, and one text asking to call to confirm. Whatever you do do not go to this massage place. The whole entire franchise is a joke. I bought a membership and had to move to another state for work. I continued paying for my membership for the year hoping just to stack up my massages for when I get back, only to be told that they were no longer available. I never use my massages in the first place because most of the people that work there are fresh out of massage school and do the same basic routine massages so I went to someone who is an actual experienced massage therapist. I went for a massage after just moving here and received a voucher for a free 30 minute massage or upgrade to 90mins for $60 from Our Town. They said wonderful and booked me. No details other than that. Then after my wonderful massage they tell me it's $112 and that each therapist could have an up charge rate. I said that is definitely information you should tell your customers when booking. Why even offer the coupon?! Or have incompetent people working the front desk. Yep other people were having issues checking out too. I hope the wonderful therapist leaves this company for a better organization. read more

Do NOT get roped into signing up for a 6 month or 12 month agreement. If you move or need to cancel for any reason, they will give you a very difficult time. I moved away from Bay Village after 2 months of membership and wanted to cancel my 6 month agreement because I don't live near Crocker Park anymore. I was told that they would switch my account over to a 3 month, charging me for 1 additional month and cancel it out. On month 4 I was still being charged. I called them back and then they said that they would switch it to 3 months, but would have to charge me another $39.99 "enrollment fee". Unbelievably slimy business practices!! I had a facial and a massage and really enjoyed both. The room was clean, comfortable, and smelled wonderful. All towels that the esthetician used as well as the vapor machine, also smelled good. I've been to fancier places where they used towels that smelled moldy, that's why I pay attention to those details now. Both massage therapist and esthetician were pleasant and knowledgeable. The place is small and doesn't have a lounge area or changing room but the prices are affordable and I wouldn't pay more to have the extra space. read more

I went here for the first time today to use a promotional gift certificate I got in the mail because we were new to the area, and I had a great experience. Beautiful "retreat", friendly employees and outstanding customer service, massage table with luxuriously comfortable pillows and blanket for my prenatal massage, and the best massage I've ever had. It's a bummer I happened to get the manager as my MT and she doesn't normally do massages so I can't go to her again. Updated: I went back a month or so after my initial review, because the manager reached out to offer a free massage, and had a similarly bad experience. The masseuse (female this time) was not very talented, or thorough, and no one there knew that it was supposed to be comped despite me mentioning it on my reservation. It was a confusing process and not worth the drive out. I adore Dawn St. Leone at studio 888 and Sacred Hour's Cleveland spas - both have far better ambiance, and much more experienced/talented staff. From 11/28/16 Wow. I have never experienced a massage this bad, and I've had massages all over the country. Dan was the worst masseuse I have ever had. He would just press on pain points for a long time, digging in with his fingles, seemed to have no idea what to do with his hands, and would actually rub behind your knees/elbows etc. (not supposed to do that! No muscles and lots of important veins there). They also called me three different names - Kate, Kathy, and Katie during my visit. The place was clean but they need to get better people. Sigh. Bye bye money, and still have the shoulder/back pain. read more

THEE BOMB!!! From beginning to end the staff was beyond professional. This was my first time visiting and I can honestly say I will return. My therapist Katelyn was really nice, calming and had a relaxing spirit. She made me comfortable enough to relax and fall asleep lol shame. I love that the session was not only for a massage but for healing after the massage. She told me that my back carried lots of tension. With that she suggested a massage regime to keep up with and also shared an exercise to help ease my tense muscles. I thought that was awesome! Who the heck would do that?! When it was time to pay, my boyfriend and I were offered a great deal to come back. Once a month for $40/ea. not bad at all considering some places charge up to $100 per person. Don't get a Membership My husband got me a membership for 6 months, where every month a discounted payment comes out of your selected banking acct. Well unless you send a written notice in to have your membership cancelled (which they don't tell you) the monies will continue to be removed on the specified date. A phone call months before will not even be placed into your account as a request of your termination of your membership because you are not eligible of a cancellation at that time. I compare it to a gym membership. The massage therapists are wonderful, but these poor employees are not given benefits so many of them have to work multiple jobs to provide for their families. They only get a small amount of what you pay them for the massage and they rely heavily on tips. (Like a waitress) They do all the work but don't get the pay. Very fancy bougie place, but they don't put their money in what counts and that is the massage therapists. read more
