Just moved to the area. This is the closest location to my new home. With any big box store, I feel there are good and bad locations. This is a a bad Ulta. On a really basic note, the parking in this location is terrible. It's a lovely & convent shopping center but when they were planning it they did not consider the popularity and getting parking anywhere here is like competing in the hunger games. Very unpleasant every time right away. At the time of writing this review I have been to this location three separate times. The first time was for an in-store pick up. It took 3 employees 20 mins to locate my order. This supposed to be a quick and easy process. It was neither and they are clearly very disorganized here. The second two visits were to clear up a customer service incident I had been experiencing. Prior to physically visiting the store, I had spoken both over the phone and via email with multiple customer service reps including having my issue elevated with tech support. I was told part of the issue I was experiencing needed to be handed in store. So I went to the store. They refused to do anything and just repeatedly told me I need to call customer service to deal with it. So I left and called customer service again who reiterated that that particular portion needed to be handed at the store level. So I went back. This time with an email with instructions to show the store employees so that they couldn't not brush me off again and tell me contact customer service. They once again refused to follow their own company policies and told me to contact customer service...ma'am you are holding an email from customer service telling you to take care of the issue in store. So I will not return to this location unless it is to do a return. I don't want to support their sales success with my business but happy to do my part to work in its opposition with any return. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at Ulta. I didn't get her name, but she was a redhead with glasses. She was standing at the makeup station laughing and chatting with another employee. I politely asked for help, and she looked at me with a terrible attitude and said, "No, I can't help you, I'm busy," before going right back to her conversation. Honestly, it was embarrassing to watch. Customers come to Ulta for help and advice, not to be treated like an inconvenience. I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. No call or notification telling me this. I had them check around and the Ulta on Daniels Road had the product. They booked me an appointment with Andre for later that day. This was very far from my home, but I needed the keratin treatment that I had booked. I arrived and Andre got me in early. He was great and so is everyone else in the store. They were so friendly and welcoming and the three hours I was there passed quickly. It is also in a very nice area where I had never been. I had time to get lunch and shop around before my appointment. Even though this is a 40 minute drive away I will definitely go here again. Average experience at ulta. I'm not really a makeup girl, but spontaneously like to do my male duo sometimes. With that being said, all of my makeup is expired and I'm leaving on vacation for ten days on Sunday. When it comes to Ulta vs Sephora I'm always going to choose Ulta. It's much more organized with a much larger selection for a more reasonable price. I left with 6 brand names items for 94. Sephora would have gotten me 2 items. I had about 5 people ask me, despite the face it was busy, if I needed help with my visit. One associate, I believe her name was Jaden, helped me find the perfect palate and even told me what would end up working best with my skin tone. As I said before, I'm not huge into makeup so this help was certainly welcomed. I have been going here for over a year now and have had nothing less than amazing. But we all know hair color can be funny sometimes. My last appointment went fantastic and usually lasts 10-12 weeks but 2 weeks in my color had almost completely washed out. I went in and asked to speak to someone because I wanted to see if there was something I could do to prevent it from happening again. Mind you, I hadn't done anything differently in my routine and my stylist didn't do anything different/wrong my hair just decided to be funny. Julia (bless her kind soul) sat with me and heard me, totally rambling because I have never had an issue and was nervous. She looked at me, recognized me since I come very regularly, and said "when do you have time let's fix it" I explained my schedule is crazy and I had by chance had gotten off early that day. She made time in her day right then to redo my color and did a fantastic job. She not only corrected it but didn't make me feel like a bother, and that is something you don't get in today's world. I went on line to research who was closest to me selling a particular brand makeup product. Per the website,Ulta carries exactly what I was looking for and no mention of " not available at store" or " online only". The website made it appear the physical store carries the brand. So I drive the 40 minutes... Not only do they not have the product,they don't even have the brand! Sales associates at the front of the store ignored me as I walked in,after looking and not seeing the brand represented at all,I started to leave. The sales person who ignored me walking in now wants to help. I tell her I don't think they carry what I'm looking for. She asks,and I tell her. On no,we don't carry that but I have a wonderful product(from a completely different company). I tell her I don't like that company's products and I need the specific item I came in for. She starts to tell me what a great product it is and is somewhat aggressive with the push. I'm walking out of the store with her following me basically telling me I'm wrong for not wanting that product.... I tried to remain cordial,but this is a heavy bait and switch. I am familiar with the product line of the overpriced crappy product she was trying to cajole me into buying .. Don't try and sell me a Yugo for the same price as a Mercedes when I came in to buy the Mercedes. Crappy sales tactic. I've been a loyal client of Leah at Ulta Beauty for a long time. I scheduled my root touch-up appointment over 45 days ago for today at 5:30 PM. Then, out of nowhere, at 3:20 PM, they called to cancel because Leah was called out sick. I understand that things happen--but what happened next was beyond unprofessional. They offered me a spot with someone else at 4:00 PM--with LESS than an hour's notice. That's not how this works. I have a schedule. We all do. And the person on the phone? Completely rude, no apology, no effort to help. Just "the next available is next Friday." They made zero effort to accommodate me, despite the fact that I've been a regular client. That's what makes it even worse. Not even an ounce of customer care or basic courtesy. Ulta, you just lost a loyal client. I'm so frustrated and disappointed. If this is how you treat people who actually come back again and again, I can't imagine how you treat new customers. Do better. read more

I went to this store recently on a weeknight and was surprised to find that it was already closed for the night. Although the hours posted on the door and the hours posted online state that this location is open until 9pm, they actually close at 8pm. I was so annoyed because I would have gone there earlier if I'd know. I needed several hair and make-up products. There was another sign on the door that stated they are now closed at 8pm. So I came here a couple of weeks ago. I wish I could say I had a better experience. For there to be so many employees I could not find someone to help me. A young new employee was directed to assist me and that was fine but they didn't have what I needed. So I asked to be skin matched in another brand so she walks away for a second and comes back, I say if you can't do it it's ok just find someone who can. She goes over to the manager asks for assistance and says to the young lady I believe in you (basically fed her to the wolves deep sigh). Luckily when her and I walk to the Nars section Chris (a employee) looked at me asked me 2 questions and told her what to try on me(btw this is what turned my experience around) he was spot on to what I was looking for. I appreciate the young lady even though she was hella nervous she was going to try but Chris saved her. To management when your employees ask for assistance with a customer you should assist especially if your just standing in the center of the floor talking amongst yourselves. But this location gets two stars only for the two amazing employees. read more

The Ulta in Fowler's Grove is nicely done. The merchandise is always stocked and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They stock a nice selection of higher end make up along with the drugstore variety. This allows for many options. They also carry a large range of styling tools and products. On my most recent visit I purchased some new brushes and was very happy with the selection and quality. Some of the prices seemed high so you have to know what you are looking for. The beauty salon appears to always be busy with happy customers. A lot of the stylists seem to be beginners but talented. There is a rewards program that adds to your savings. read more

I had an appointment 12/28/23 for 12:30pm to tint my eyebrows following a facial right after at 1pm. When I arrived they told me it started at 1pm so of course I was kind of irritated because I had to walk around the store waiting 30mins. I know these things can happen but what bothered me was the manager's attitude, she never apologized once or acted liked she cared made me feel like I was the problem. I didn't get her name but she was blonde lady mostly in the salon area. As I was walking around waiting another lady asked if I needed help I said no I'm just waiting and I told her what happened she mentioned she was also a manager (beautiful tall lady light brown skin with brown hair) she offered me a discount on a product for my inconvenience. I said I just purchased product yesterday so didn't need much so I asked can I just get a free mini mascara of the brand I use and she said yes find her when I check out. So after my facial which was just ok.. I headed to the eyebrow lady Toy and she did an awesome job. Now time to pay so I explained to the cashier which manager said I could get a free mascara and she wasn't there anymore possibly out to lunch so they called up the other blonde manager from the salon area and same issue with her having and attitude and telling me she doesn't know why the other lady offered me a mini of this brand and she isn't supposed to. She tried to give me a bath sponge instead and I said I don't need that so finally she found a mini mascara of another brand. Never apologized nor said thank you for shopping there. I recently got highlights done by someone who did my hair cuts and it turned out to be a nightmare. The stylist wasn't experience with what level bleach to use when bleaching my hair, it was a nightmare of platinum blond, orange, brassiness and my original color which is maybe one to two shades up from jet black. After my second visit I was suppose to buy a mask but it turned out to be the wrong product. At the at point I had lost all faith in ULTA. I'm not calling any names or throwing any shade to another women because I think if my hair had lifted well the first time we would have had a winner. She has always been amazing to me my hair is just a bloody nightmare to lift. However I came across the salon manager that had a plan to fix my hair I just don't have the time and patience right now so I told her put it back to one color. Black!!!! Melissa did an amazing job with what she had to work with. Thankful she was able to get black into my hair after it was bleached. I finally left happy. I scheduled a tweeze and style with the brow bar. When I showed up for the appointment, the stylist I was scheduled with told me she could not tweeze. Apparently she has some kind of hand injury? She then threw the receptionist under the bus and blamed her for not telling me about her inability to tweeze. The brow stylist should have called me to confirm and tell me personally that she was not able to tweeze, not blame the receptionist. Who has a brow stylist that cannot tweeze? Again what a waste of my time and just rude. I will go elsewhere. read more

I went to go get my ears pierced with my best friend on Wednesday 9/4/24 and at first we were really excited until we realized that the place to get it done was in the middle of the front of the store, not set up. If we didn't make appointments I would understand but we did over a week in advance. We brushed it off and then I went first. The guy asked which ones I wanted and I told him and he put the ugliest earrings in my ears. After I got them done and I said they were the wrong earrings, his response was "it looks good I guess". We asked if he could rectify his mistake but I guess he couldn't. Instead he gave us the correct earring which I did switch out. Then my best friend went and he didn't sanitize or even switch gloves. Both mine and her piercings are uneven. Also we were supposed to receive a 5 ounce bottle of cleaning solution but they didn't have that, they didn't take it out of the cost or anything, instead told us to go to Walgreens or something. read more

I have been going to the Winter Garden Ulta since I moved to Florida in February. I find the staff extremely knowledgeable about their services & products. No matter what I need help with a pleasant smiling staff worker is there to patiently educate me & work with me. Since moving here from Wisconsin I have experienced frizzy hair & some skin issues related to aging as I'm 70 yrs old. If a staff member is not sure of the best solution for a specific issue they find someone who does know & spends as much time as I need to successfully solve my issue. I love this store! Everyone is so friendly & super helpful. If you try a product & find it isn't for you they cheerfully refund the price. No complaints here, only a happy satisfied customer. I have an appointment at the brow bar today & am absolutely confident I will leave, as usual, happy with the results & my experience. read more

When you go into ulta it's nice to have more to a store than just buying product, they have brows, facials and hair styling too. I had a good stylist but I didn't feel like it was nicely done. I got my 2 kids hair done as well and one had a heavy line, the other it was blended pretty nicely. My big issue is with the checkout process. You get a piece of paper then go to the regular checkout. Which was a ridiculously long line. Mind you, I have a broken ankle so I had to stand in this ridiculously long line. I tried booking a hair appointment a few days in advance. Day of booking, i got a notification that it was cancelled. I got no voicemail explaining why it was cancelled. I immediately went on to book another appointment and found the same time and hair stylist available. I went back to the page a few minutes later, and that appointment disappeared leading me to believe it was cancelled again with no notification. So I had to book another appointment with a different stylist an hour later, which was inconvenient for me as I had to adjust my plans for later that evening. About an hour later I got a notification that my booking changed AGAIN, only it wasn't cancelled this time, it was booked at the hour-later time but with the original stylist from earlier. At that point I just became very uncomfortable because that stylist is clearly unprofessional to have cancelled on me twice and then modifying my reservation with another stylist. The stylist is Soumia. I ended up cancelling entirely and going with a different salon entirely, for my original time at 5pm, because the whole thing made me very uncomfortable. I just found the whole thing unprofessional. If she couldn't do a 5pm time, then she should have called and left a voicemail letting me know that, and asking for a different time. Instead, she just cancelled and changed my appt without reason, notice or notification. read more

The only reason I gave two stars is because there was a good selection in this store, however, that doesn't do any good when none of the employees will assist the customer. Groups of employees standing in a circle talking and laughing about who knows what. Then there is no clear signs on where checkout is so I mistakenly went to the salon counter. Group of employees there (again, leaning on the counter having conversations completely ignoring customers) looked at me and said "checkout is at the front." The way it was said was rude. This ulta is okay. I tend to do pickup cause it tends to have long lines. The staff is generally helpful, but they were following me around last time cause they clearly thought I was stealing. Someone would come up and ask if I need anything then mindlessly look at an object and pretend they were facing. I work in CS, so I know the behavior, but it was just annoying when I'm trying to shop. If you have cameras & the alarms at the door why would I steal? I get it, it's your job, but make it less obvious next time instead of following me everywhere. read more
