It had been almost a year since I got my haircut at Divas thanks to covid. To be honest I had been very worried about going to a salon during these times, but I decided I couldn't take my long hair anymore and needed a cut. They confirmed over the phone that everyone is required to wear masks and that they are sanitizing as much as possible, so that made me feel good. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the spacing between guests and the fact that it wasn't very busy. I don't know if this is typical though, or if it was just my luck. Obviously during normal times and not covid times, this wouldn't be good, but it made me feel a lot safer right now. I wasn't able to see Mallory so I was Logan instead. Logan was awesome! She understood exactly what I needed and took care of me. She was also super personable and did a wonderful job. I only got a cut and dry this time, no color. I will definitely return in the future. read more

I have been going to this salon for 5-6 months. The person I usually went to left & another person was recommended. I specifically said no red in my hair color at least 3 times. I am a big fan of Jennifer Sanchez, the nail tech, manicurist and pedicurist!! She does it all, and does it all well. My French Acrylic nails never lift...they even held up through the entire covid shut down. Since covid, I was able to get in for pedicures....my nail polish lasts the entire month too! The front desk is very nice. And the entire salon is clean.....and I would know...I'm in the beauty business myself! read more

For some reason I had the hardest time finding a hairdresser here, having just moved to Orlando. I kept reading reviews that scared me off the few ones that I could find. Diva looked solid so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I went. Jada was awesome, I love my haircut. Dawn, has been my hairstylist for five months and I love her.. She is amazing. She knows her colors, her hairstyles and she makes you feel at home. Coming to see her is the highlight of my evening. I love my new salon. Found Divas while attending a new resident function and decided to give them a try. The vibe of the salon is fun and inviting. My stylist, Arayna, really took her time learning about my hair and what I was wanting to achieve with my hair. For the first time in my life, I decided to do a dramatic change and trusted Arayna to give me one of those sassy bobs. I love it!!! I've been back for upkeep about 4 times now and have been so happy. I even trusted her enough to go back for a trim 2 days before Christmas (I try not to have my hair cut around the holidays in case something goes wrong, but Arayna knows what she's doing, so I felt comfortable letting her freshen my hair up for Christmas). Five stars. The staff is great, the salon is clean. Customer service is fantastic. The one thing I want to note is that they ask for the tips to be made with cash, so if you are using a credit card, you'll need to plan ahead. I choose Diva's because of location. I was a bit concerned that it is in a strip mall and the name gave the impression of a great clips ... But after trying it I feel bad for judging. I have been returning for several months and am extremely pleased. I go in once a month for color and every other month I add a trim to maintain my style. Dawn is a wonderful stylist at Diva's. If you have long hair and often worry about a hairdresser respecting the length that you like to maintain ...you can put your fears to rest. Dawn cringes a little at the thought of over cutting beautiful long hair. She will honor any request to go shorter (like in the case of my friend )and the results will be lovely but she obviously respects the beauty of longer healthy hair. I can also add that she is extremely pleasant. She doesn't ask a million annoying questions or gossip. Dawn is just friendly and easy going. The conversations are light and happy. She also does not hit you with over charges. What she quotes is what you get. I never met the owner but I have always found the front desk staff to be attentive and friendly. They never fail to comment and smile. This wonderful combination will give you a terrific opportunity to relax. read more

The owner, Marla, has been my stylist for many years. My cut and color are always perfect. I am very happy with this salon. The employees are friendly and greet you when you walk in the door. The prices are reasonable. Divas offers everything you would want in a salon. The stylists are top notch and knowledgeable of the current cuts and stylings. I randomly walked in here after my hair stylist at a different place no showed on me and was in need of full highlights on my hair which is something short of lion's mane ..... the manager was incredibly nice and Ali was able to get me in in under an hour..... she foiled my hair so fast and got me to the blonde I wanted to be at.... This salon uses a rather low-rent font for its logo. Based on that, I did not expect the salon to be pretentious or snooty. And it was--Divas in Winter Garden is the epitome of a pretentious, snooty spa. I am accustomed to upscale, expensive salons. However, I do not tolerate snobbery or an atmosphere of superiority. Unfortunately, that is exactly what I experienced here. When I walked in, the ladies at the front desk did not really greet me; they just looked at me expectantly. I told them that I had an appointment to see Beth W. One of the ladies informed me that she would get Beth. I only had to wait a minute or two, but still none of the staff engaged me in any conversation or even looked me in the eye. The salon was not overly busy, so I got the feeling I wasn't really welcomed or appreciated. Beth cut off way more hair than I indicated I wanted cut off; I tried to be explicit on this point when discussing the desired outcome. Luckily, the haircut was skillfully done, even if it was not really what I wanted. She was not especially talkative. She basically only answered the questions I asked her about her tools and some of the pictures on her digital frame, and her answers were brief. The only time she was interested in engaging me in conversation was when she ushered me to the front and tried to sell me the over-priced hair products that she had used on me. I'm serious: she was like a different person. I was amazed at how much she suddenly wanted to talk to me about hair glaze. Then, the coup de grace came at checkout. This is one of those places that does not allow a gratuity to be added to a debit/credit payment. Now, even though I didn't feel like anyone in that placed deserved a tip from me, I'm not a tacky jackwagon, so I planned on tipping on the card. When the woman asking for my money told me that I could not add a tip to the card, I was flabbergasted. When I made the appointment, the person on the phone knew I was a new customer: Don't you think these are the types of policies it's important to tell new customers about?!?!?!? When I told this woman that I wish someone had told me about this when I made the appointment (because I rarely have cash) AS A NEW CLIENT, she, again, did not look me in the eye, did not explain, and did not apologize. Literally, there was no response except for the slightest hint of annoyance and indignance on her face that I was such a complete moron as to actually comment on their policies and failure to advertise them. I chose this place because of its convenient location and the expectation that it would be friendly and comfortable. It's in a strip mall, after all, and it's called "Divas" -- not Luxurious Daytime Spa by the Sea of Elegance (and the font. You'll understand when you see it). Yes, the haircut was skillfully done, and I have no doubts about Beth W.'s capabilities. However, it was not what I actually asked for and not what I actually wanted (I'm still dealing with that). And the worst part is that I truly felt like I was surrounded by people who looked down on me and somehow felt like they were better than I am (between my husband and me, there are 3 advanced degrees and commensurate salaries. I'm not exactly trash). They were not outwardly rude, though, so if you can tolerate unjustifiable snobbery and hairstylists that don't listen, maybe this salon will work for you. Dee V., I had the same experience where the tipping was concerned. It was also my first visit to the salon and wasn't told until I tried to tip on the credit card receipt that tips must be done in cash. I don't carry cash and can't recall the last time I tipped a hairdresser with cash. I told them that I would have to go to the Walgreens ATM to get cash and I guess fearing I wouldn't come back, told me they would make an exception that one time. I was also told that a simple shampoo/cut was so much money ($40? I can't recall an exact amount) but when I was told the amount I owed it was about $20 more than what I was quoted when I walked in. I purchased a gift certificate for massage, facial and mani/pedi for girlfriend. I even prepaid for all the tips. When my girlfriend went she was told that no tips were paid and was asked to give another tip. Scheduling was difficult always had to get a call back to see if the person was available. read more

Christy is the best. She made some really great suggestions to fix my too dark color and even walked me thru the process to ease my concerns. In the end I ended up getting a color correction via soapcap and a semi permanent color ( since I want to try and go back to natural) and I love the results. I used to enjoy going there and there are a few ladies that are wonderful. However my husband bought me a gift certificate for a facial last year and when I went I had hot water drip on my face from the steamer and there was a hole in the ceiling so you could here all the noise, talking, blow dryer noise in the room. There was no peace what so ever on top of the fact I almost got my face burned. I called in to tell them what happened and nothing was done about it but oh really I am sorry. Then I made an appointment recently in april to get my hair dyed 2 weeks ahead of time..and when the day came I showed up and they said we have no appointment for you and that stylist is gone. No new appointment made no discount for their error no nothing. Just crappy customer service all the way around. When things are good it seems great but i hope you dont have bad service or your out of luck. On top of the inconvenience that I always have to stop somewhere to take out cash before i go cause till this day with technology they still don't allow tipping when you pay for your service. i have been going to divas for many years. although tammy is my go-to girl (hollah!), when my gray hair has grown in so much that i have to tweeze my hair line just to feel ok leaving my bedroom, i call and they graciously fit me in. i guess i have seen a total of 5 different stylists for my "holy cow! i need to make an appointment TODAY!" situations. all of them have been great! i love going in and always get a warm welcome when i come in the front door. in fact, last time i was in, they asked if i had been tweezing my forehead again! haha! anyways, i love divas, as do my girls. we like the atmosphere, we like the people and we like our haircuts! :) read more

I just tried Diva's for the first time. I worked with Spencer and she was great! I had a lot of issues going on with my color and she took her time during our consultation to come up with a plan to get me where I wanted to be. She also came up with some more ideas in between the time of our consultation and appointment. Spencer nailed it! I love the way my color turned out. She covered my grays and gave me very natural looking highlights using a bayalage technique (basically painting on the highlights). I went today with a mess in my hair I had green in the ends black roots in the middle of my hair one color and towards the end the same color with old highlights that came out. I went in at 10 am and was taken care by Beth . She did an amazing job in my hair I loved it. She took the green out of my hair and did highlights and lowlights and dyed my hair at the same time in one process . From 11am to 2pm she was there pointing foil dying hair piece by piece! She also gave me a cut and did a wonderful job.I would recommend her to anyone who really wants their hair to be done right. I truely recommed this place . read more

I love Diva's for many reasons. They have a beautiful, new, large space that is always clean and never smells like chemicals like some salons. I also love their talented staff. I have had wonderful experiences with a few different stylists. Jennifer and Megan have been there for years and they have always given me exactly what I asked for, my mother and sister have had great experiences with these two also. Recently a stylist named Beth Willis joined the Diva's team and I had the pleasure of experiencing her talent when I walked in on a whim wanting to get my hair bleached. She did an incredible job on the color and cut. I was so happy with my hair I went back to her 9 weeks later for another cut and color and she amazed me again. I love this place because I know its not just one great stylist, they have many. Every one is kind, friendly and down to earth. For my cut, color and style I paid $90. For just a cut its $25. I understand this isn't cheap but It is a very reasonable price for the service and product and is more affordable than other salons in the area. read more
