The store was not open despite the hours posted at the door stating 9:00 am. I was at the store at 11:00 am and they were still not open. This is the second time I come to this store and they close. Moving forward I will be going to Asian beauty shops at least they value people's time. read more

Living in North Georgia it's hard to find a beauty supply store without having to drive 40 min into the city. I googled this place and saw that they were trying to bring this market to the North Georgia area. Well today i decided to give them a try to save me 20 minutes driving to the next closest hair store. So i drive 20 min to only get there and see they're not open. It's currently 10:11 and the sign on the door says they're open M-S 9-9.... save yourself a trip and just drive into the city... this really doesn't make sense... now I'll have to drive another 40 min just to go to my normal store. What's the point of trying to serve the North Georgia community if you can't be reliable and open when you say you do?!? read more

Tried this beauty supply several times. I want to support black owned however my experiences have not been great. The prices are outrageous but I try to look pass it based on the area we live in. But they have poor customer service. I went in and asked if they had a crochet needle. I was advised they only had 2 left and I was asked if they would work. I said yes and bought the product. I definitely should have paid better attention to the needle but I didn't think there would be an issue with something so specific. Once I got to my car I realized they sold me a seam ripper! I went right back in to let them know I wasn't sold the right product. I was then told this is what is used for crocheting and that they asked me would it work. The fact that they asked me that question to begin with tells me a lot about the store and their questionable products. Needless to say I walked out without my money back and extremely upset. At the end of the day this is your business and you should take pride in what you sell to your customers. Very disappointed and I will never return to this store. This Beauty Supply store appears to have everything you will ever need in the world of beauty supplies. Very neat and well organized and I applaud them for this. However, even though this establishment is Black owned and operated, it has the "feel" of beauty supply stores that are owned and operated by Asians; cold, impersonal and watching every move one makes, as if with the fear of imminent theft. They come across as being on edge which in reverse, makes me feel uncomfortable being in their store. I am a believer in and supporter of Black owned business but this establishment is one that I will not frequent, simply because of the atmosphere they've created and its very disappointing. read more

So I'm here visiting my family in Georgia and left my flatiron in another county far away from Alpharetta, so my sister and niece assured me that they had a beauty supply store not too far from the house that I should check out... Pulling up to Ultimate Beauty Supply the first thing you notice is -it's HUGE and I really wish I took pictures of this place before I left because it's beautiful!!! Black wood shelving and crystal chandeliers ...very chic, very clean nothing over done. So I didn't peruse the shelves the way I wanted to because of the time - I was on a tight schedule to do a few things before returning back to NY but from what I could see they carried a few of the products I actually use such as Kera Care, Nairobi and Design Essentials! The only thing missing is AVEDA products which I hope they get because it's simply one of the best!! They have a small makeup section which can be improved upon and some jewelry located in the glass cases in the front. I did see a nice selection of wigs and they even have a wig room! There is also a salon located in the rear of the salon (as per my niece- although I didn't see it) and from what I've been told they offer hair braiding as well but please double check with the store. Monique who just happened to be from New York (the Owner is too) was so helpful and such a sweetheart that it made my first visit a pleasant and memorable one!!! So hats off to Ultimate Beauty Supply- I suggest you check them out for your hair care needs. There is a shortage of beauty supplies stores that cater to black hair so when I heard this was opening I was very excited. It's unfortunate that they have such horrible customer service where none of the employees are trying to offer assistance because they offer good products despite them being overpriced. I always accepted paying a little bit more because of the convenience of location. I called and told the sales rep that I would be at the store at opening, 9am as it says online and on the store doors. Arrived at 9:30a and they were closed and remained closed till 11a. This is the third time I've tried to shop here before noon and they've been closed and this is the last time I will ever shop with them. read more

I've been going to this beauty supply store for years and love it! The staff is nice and I've always had great conversations no matter who was working. They are super helpful when it comes to understanding the product and give great recommendations. Definitely recommend to anyone in the Alpharetta area. Omgeee this is the only beauty supply store that caters to Afro hair and my weave needs and chileeee they are never open. I've visited this store a few times and they've been open maybe twice.. I'm starting to think either the owner is a pastor (given the actual business hours) or this is like a part-time money laundering business. This should be against city business ordinance or something because this drive was a waste of my time and everyone else's time who had to curse me back out with rage. I need to sue this business for my gas money back. I wish I could tag Judge Judy. Soooo unprofessional. After reading reviews about this place I decided to try and shop them. So Wednesday at 10:30 am, I'm sitting in front of their store with hours posted as being open from 9-8pm...yet they are closed!!! No sign no will return no anything. I guess business isn't important to them neither is my time...i really don't want to drive down 400 for products so I will try coming back in 15 min to see if perhaps they stepped out for a moment. But overall this is frustrating- I'm a small business owner and I value my customers I could never survive with this level of service read more

This beauty supply store is close to my job. I was happy to have a beauty supply store on the north side close to work and home. I'm headed out of town tomorrow afternoon so I figured I stop by this place on my lunch break. I get there at noon and it's closed. The hours said 9-8pm or something like that. Rude customer service, service is always bad, and I want to support this place because it's black owned but cannot anymore. Every time I bring my fiance here no one acknowledges anyone. Last time was this afternoon. Her birthday is today, she bought some nail glue and the bottle was empty. Needed some items for work so I googled and this was the closest place. Got there and was pleasantly surprised to see it appeared to be black owned from the appearance. Ok cool I'm all for supporting us right now. I walk in and dude at the counter is texting never looks up. Another young lady with her purse on her arm is coming from behind the counter and walks by me and I say excuse me and ask for the product I'm looking for. She directs me and I get what I needed and go to the counter. Dude is off his phone but still doesn't greet ask me if I found what I needed nothing. He rang up my items said the total and that was it. I paid with my card he put the items in a bag and sat it on the counter. No thank you have a nice day nothing. I started to leave the stuff there but I really needed them. Needless to say I will never be back. I want US to succeed. I want US to win. I want US to have our own and not be dependent on others. But we have to treat US like we matter. We have to treat US with respect. This place customer service is horrible. The owner Christian Lewis is rude and a bit ghetto. When i asked a question he said he was not going to answer it. The hair i bought from his store shed like crazy and i told him i didn't like it. Then he proceeded to say well you didn't buy it from me, well i bought it in your store so yes i bought it from you. This is my first time ever writing a review! I went into the store yesterday to buy a few hair products.... as I walked in I did not get acknowledged at all she totally ignored me. So I just walked around.. Then this guy come from the back he walks right pass me! I look up front him and the girl are both outside arguing !! The customer service here is horrible! I went in looking for a human hair wig. First, I had to find someone to help me, which was a young girl sitting in the front who looked as if she really didn't want to be there. She didn't seem knowledgeable about the products nor was she engaged in trying to help. I was about to buy a synthetic wig, she didn't even tell me it was synthetic. When I went back to pick out a human hair wig, I assured her I would be out of her way in a moment, simply because she acted as if I was pestering her. Customer service here is shotty to say the most! I went in to the store to make a simple exchange of a bag of synthetic braiding hair. I mistakenly got the wrong color. I misplaced my receipt but the bag was unopened and untouched. The sign not 3 feet from my eyes clearly stated that there would be no refunds without a receipt but any items could be exchanged... The young rude employee said that he would not be not able to resell the bag because it was wrinkled!!! Totally disregarding the sign directly in my face. I will never shop there again!
