- I bought speakers that I ended up not needing. I literally Tried to do the work myself to avoid having to come here again. Got past my ability and went to the shop to return the speakers but you are unable to get a refund so I figured I'd let them have a crack at fixing the audio because I didn't want to be out the money. Booked an appointment for 8 am drop. Both the owner and the son were there and refused to acknowledge me because it was before 9am. I literally wanted to talk to them about possibly replacing the deck and spending more money in the shop as well as installing a subwoofer. After I was ignored by the owner and dismissed by his son, I decided to go with my gut. I took back the $300 worth of speakers and will now be taking my money to a professional shop. Sidenote, I was a return customer and have spent a couple thousand dollars at the shop before even though the customer service was not much better in my previous experience and the work was shoddy and ended up continually draining my battery Honestly it's my fault, I've had a poor experience every time. So the guy that runs this place has a very poor attitude and is very quick to rip you off. I got into it the first time I was here about a service I was paying for directly through the mfg website that he was trying to charge me again for. Gave me some spiel about how he's been "running this business" for over 20 years and never heard of paying online. I give these guys zero stars The only reason there is one star as it would not allow me to post without selecting at least one Beware, beware beware I spent $1700 on a set of speakers and an amp. I brought my car back into them a total of six times between installation in December & April telling them there is no sound at all from the rear speakers. They eventually replaced the amp they had put in & replaced two of the speakers. They never provided me with any paperwork. Even when I ask them, I want to know what brand and model the amp is I want to know what the speakers are they did not provide me with that. The stereo still sucks! I have no proof that they ever put in anything. What they put in sounds like bottom of the barrel for an entry-level car if that. They have a sign boldly placed at the register that says there are no cash refunds, store credit only with receipt within 30 days. The owner has had a history of brusque customer service, but I figured there are a lot of tender customers out there. He wasn't nurturing at all, but knew his business. I had him install a car alarm in my vehicle. I should have read up on it as it turned out to be a $40 alarm that cost $300 to install. But, based upon the damage he did to everything he touched, I guess he put a lot of time in. Every plastic piece he moved to wire the thing up was left loose, out of alignment, or with a broken clip. The install took three times longer than he quoted, and it took me a half hour to pop everything in place again. Overpriced and sloppy work: other than that I was happy. read more

Stay away from this place! Bought my wife a new stereo for her car here and had him install it for Christmas. Left the car with him for 5 hours. Picked the car up and none of the steering wheel controls worked properly. Volume up is channel change, volume down is volume up,channel down is volume up, channel down changes bands and the phone button changes stations. Also had a new back up camera installed and the very next day it fell out. Contacted him and scheduled to have it back in shop so he could fix it. He said the steering wheel control module was wrong and needed a new one. Well I thought that was part of the "professional" install I paid for. Apparently not. So he had the car another 5 hours when we got it back when you turn the key on it makes a very loud audible pop and from the time the car is turned on there is a constant high pitch noise coming from the rear speakers. Enough to drive my children, wife and I crazy. It will not go away. Now the phone also does not work. It will connect but no one can hear you but you can hear them like the mic is not hooked up. The screen also pulses now like it is losing power then getting power. It just seems to be one problem after another. I contacted him again and I decided to give him one more chance to make it right and took the car back a third time. He had the car for about 4 hours this time. When we got the car back this time nothing was fixed in fact it was worse. Kevin blamed it on the factory amp (that we have never had an issue with ever) and said it is no fault of his he only puts stuff in he doesn't make it. Well now the stereo would just randomly lose power, the phone mic still did not work, the camera is at an angle and a constant crackle joined the the constant high pitch sound but the crackle was though all speakers and sounded like it was going to catch fire. My wife refused to drive it and I took the car to Car Audio Center in San Luis Obispo. They had my wife's car for one hour yes one hour and everything works perfect no excuses and charged a third of the install price. The guy there even commented on how things were wired wrong and had no idea at all how it could possibly take a professional that many times or that long each time to complete an install. *AVOID THIS PLACE* I give one star because I have to. I had a stereo installed. I did most of the work myself but couldn't get the stereo in the dash. I took it to them. The work was not professional. I had wires hanging down from under dash and when I got down the road I realized I had no sound. I listened to the stereo the week i was waiting for my appointment so I know it worked. I called to let them know and they wanted to make me another appointment a week later. I explained that I had already waited a week and requested that they complete the install. Finally they agreed to an appointment a few days later. I get it back in and they tell me my wire harness is out and that I needed a new one. They claimed I burned it out when I was doing my own install. I know that wasn't the case because it was working when I dropped it off. I reluctantly had them order a new one. I also had them clean up the wires that were hanging out of my dash. I get my vehicle back and the alert *dinging* was now an annoying alarm. I ended up taking it to another car place where they told me the modular had been burned out when they installed it likely due to them not unhooking my battery first. I paid $179 for the new harness and the other audio tech told me they downgraded my harness for a cheaper one which is why it makes such an annoying sound when the door opens. I found out it's valued only at $30. Not only did they rip me off, they did a poor job with the install. Their customer service is horrible too. Very unpleasant experience. I had a receiver installed in my car & have had nothing but problems with it. I took it back more than once to have it reworked & the only thing that changed was the number of screws in my dash. Yes when I got in the car to listen to my newly re-installed stereo, there were 2 screws on the floor. When I asked him where they came from, he says: "oh that's where they went". Really? I have done business with these folks in the past, having had a new sound unit installed in my work truck. I returned with a Lexus SC400 to have the cd changer repaired. They asked for a $50 deposit which I handled with a credit card. After learning that the changer could not be repaired I ordered a new amp/tuner for the car. I was then told that they could not install any unit in the car and, rather than crediting my card, gave me a $50 in store credit. After looking through the inventory of cables, jacks, etc. and being assured that I could not get a credit applied to my card, I walked out. I own a business and know that crediting a card is just no a big deal. As I walked out the door I was assured that the $50 would be applied to their Christmas decoration project. To be honest, I previously wrote a very bad review of this place, after my initial encounter with them. I was not happy with the job they did on our car, and was disappointed in their initial response to my displeasure. However, my wife (who has a much cooler head than me, from years of working in the corporate environment) persevered with the owners wife (Lisa), and they eventually sorted out, and fixed the problem. They did a large amount of research on their own, and didn't shirk their responsibility, which I thought they might. The vehicle is a difficult vehicle to install a stereo in (Audi A3), or I would have done it myself. Things don't always get done right the first time, but they did fix most of our concerns. As a matter on conscience, I might also point out my wife wanted to give them 4 stars, we usually compromise, but there is no 3.5 star rating. so 3 it is, I believe they are really trying. read more

We took our Volvo to Kevin's shop to have back up sensors instaled. When we picked it up he said all was well, took our money and we left. They don't work at all...whenever you put the car in reverse a load squeal sounds continuously, whether or not anything is behind us and doesn't stop until we put it in another gear. Then, when we are close to another car behind us, it doesn't change the squeal but just keeps up with the same annoying sound so that doesn't work at all. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and there is no squeal. We made an appointment for this last Monday to take the car in for him to work on this and had him yell at us to move our car way in the back and he said our appointment was last Friday. We never make appointments on Fridays as we are both busy in the mornings and afternoons on Friday. Keven wouldn't listen to us at all. He kept ranting and raving and so we left. I would advise everyone to not use this shop. Bad work, angry owner (Kevin) and it is impossible to talk to him without him yelling and not listening. I had a stereo installed by this company a while ago and it was not a good experience. First they took a day longer than they said, that's a lot longer just to replace and install an existing stereo. Secondly the ripped the contents of my trunk apart and basically threw them back inside, in a rude fashion. Third, they put a screw, yes, a black screw through my tan door panel. Now it was a nice car, a Mercedes actually, not brand new, but very nice, this put me over the top. Couldn't they have used glue? Common guys, you're supposed to be "professionals," and this is not what I expect from a professional. read more

Went in today and purchased Sirius Radio for my car. The lady at the counter was nice and introduced me to the Tech who seemed to know what he was doing. They were busy at the time and I was told that as soon as the vehicle that they were working on was finished, they'd call me . I came back 30 minutes latter and the tech took my car and said it would take about an hour and a half. I walked around Paso Robles and then came back about one hour latter. I asked the owner about my car's status and he said he didn't know and also said these things take time. Had new radio and backup camera installed. After install noticed a buzz coming from on of the speakers that was not there before the new radio. Setup an appointment to have it fixed. Arrived for appointment and after showing the tech what was wrong I asked him where I could wait. This didn't go over well as they do not have a customer waiting area. the owner then came and yelled (literately) at me that his install was good and he didn't have time for me and to make another appointment because he didn't have time to deal with it. Ended up setting up an appointment to get it fixed with a company in San Luis they made mention that a lot of their repair work is because of bad installs. read more
