Unfortunately, I have to agree with everyone -- I bought a coupon through Gilt and just had my apartment cleaned....barely. My test: when I look around after the cleaning team has left, how long does it take me to find things they missed/didn't bother to clean. Sadly, I noticed things immediately with Ultimate Cleaning. Most egregious: bathroom floor and shower. Floor not swept or mopped; shower not cleaned (hair still around the drain). The sink appears to have been wiped down hastily, as has the toilet. and here's an especially HILARIOUS discovery -- the kitchen trash, which was not taken out, CONTAINED A SWEATER OF MINE. ??!?!?!?!?!? Why would a sweater end up in the trash? This is beyond bizarre to me. Did they use my sweater as a towel or something? Spill cleaner on it? WTF WTF WTF. Kitchen floor looks ok, but not gleaming. Looks about as clean as when I lazily use a Swiffer Mop and water. They did do a good job with the stove and sink. There are tons of places they didn't dust. Like, really obvious spots: the top of my dresser, my TV table. I have a cat and she sheds and there are still clumps of hair in not-very-hidden places. I'm kind of wondering what they did for 2 hours. I could have done this level of cleaning myself in about 30 minutes. I wonder if it's because so many people have these coupons that they skimp on the services because they don't think any of us will turn into repeat business? I'm having people over for dinner tomorrow and I was hoping not to have to do anything to get my apartment ready....not the case. Will definitely need to deal with the bathroom floor and dusting at the very least. Sigh. These deals are always too good to be true. I won't hire UC again and I wouldn't recommend them. Just some feedback from our cleaning today (my husband and I were first time customers)... First the good stuff: The cleaners called at about 2:30 a half hour early to let me know they had arrived. I really appreciated this. When I got home, I did a walk through and the place smelled great! Very clean. They did a great job on the: Dishes Stove Kitchen Windows looked excellent Blinds looked good Bathroom looked great especially the shower (except we discovered the next morning that the shower head was broken) I was satisfied with the common area However a few things did seem a little below the bar: I noticed that there was no attempt what-so-ever to "tidy up" Clutter was literally piled up into corners of our home For example: the books that were on the floor in my son's room next to the book shelf, were piled up in the corner of his room instead of being put on the shelf. Next, in the bathroom, things were removed from around the sink to clean the area and not returned...most notably my son's toothbrush which was found on a shelf near the tub encrusted with dust and hair (this was not how we left it this AM!!) The top sheet for our bed was placed over the comforter...I have never seen a bed made that way. There were also many spots in our bedroom that the vaccum missed :( I will be the first to admit, our tiny North End apt is pretty cluttered and tough to clean...but I feel like there could have been a LOT more effort put into the details. Please know that I did not expect the crew to re-organize my apartment, I am sure they did the best job they could with the time they had. But compared to other cleaning services I have hired in the past (which were priced lower) I am afraid this time I was let down. Also we left the cleaners an extra $30. I think the giltcity coupon was worth it, but I wouldn't pay full price in the future and won't be giving out a recommendation to my friends. When I emailed the owner this review, pretty much word for word, he replied to thank me for my feedback and told me that it would help make his buisness better. I wish I had checked Yelp before purchasing the Living Social deal a few months ago. The long list of poor reviews would have deterred me. I just had the cleaning and would say it was okay/average. I've definitely had better but this wasn't a bad experience either. The online booking was easy and the cleaner showed up on time and was very personable and professional throughout. He seemed to work the whole time and the place smelled really clean. But after he left, I started noticing a bunch of obvious spots he missed. He also moved a lot of things and didn't put things back. In many cases, clearly didn't even try to put things back. He also didn't do any form of cleaning on our stairs, so we still had dust bunnies in our freshly cleaned house. The shower also wasn't cleaned as it was supposed to be, which I would have really appreciated as I HATE cleaning showers. And then he left behind a dirty rag and cleaning solution on the couch. I think he just ran out of time at the end and tried to make a quick exit. Unfortunately these things take away from the positive aspects of the experience. read more

Cleaners were no-show for my 1/13 appointment. This, despite having received multiple confirmations of the time slot after booking online. I've been calling and emailing the company to report the no-show, but to no avail. Nobody will pick up the phone and, days later, nobody will return my messages or emails. I used this company once in the past and was happy with them, but this makes me wonder if they've gone out of business. I'll be requesting a refund from LivingSocial. why oh why oh why did i not check yelp!!!!! DAMNIT! What ever you do...... Don't hire Ultimate Cleaning! so it's almost been a month since i had my service, answered a survey and wrote back to my "representative" and still have yet to hear back from your company on the appalling job done at my home.... so i was scheduled for 2.5 hours. when he arrived i informed him my priority was the garden level room down stairs. i let him know if he needed the full time to clean and detail the room that was fine, and if he finished then i had two bathrooms he could look at.... an hour later he came up stairs to tell me he was done and i pointed him in the direction of the bathrooms. he was done in under 45 minutes so i asked him to clean the stair case. he left with a tip in under 2 hours. when i went down stairs to look at the room and what i found was he had rearranged the pillows on the sofa, made the bed and dust every where. every side table, the top of the dressers and wardrobes, the picture frames, a dirty staircase and "dust bunnies, under the furniture & also in plain site in the corners of the room. i then when into the bathrooms and saw he cleaned the toilets which i was happy to see but neglected to pay attention to anything else in the room including dusting items on shelves at his direct eye level. i sent photos of this in an email to derek@ultimatecleaningpros.com. and noted it on the survey but i guess your company has no concern for its reputation or repeat service. despite the "cleaners" request before reaching the 2hr mark of setting up a regular appointment for him to come back ..... seriously?! read more

I was very disappointing with the service. The only redeeming quality was that when I called the service and complained about the job they did (or more correctly didn't do) they did send out another person to "fix" the problem. I'm giving them 2 stars only because of the good customer service they had in attempting to rectify the problem and satisfy their customer. The first girl who came in to do the cleaning, forgot to wash/vacuum/sweep the kitchen floor (there were leaves on the floor from the potted plant I have by the window, I can't imagine that someone cleaning a floor could accidental miss them). Was sloppy in washing the bathroom floor. Didn't even touch the toilette or the sink. There were dust bunnies in the corners of all the room and hallways as well as dust on shelves and so on. Basically I could see that she touched a bit here and there but it was not something I would call a cleaning NOR pay even $30 for. She did wipe down the counters in the kitchen and washed the stove, but even that was sub par. She did wash the floor in the entry hall way and a part of the living room, but it seems like she only washed the floor in the center of the room and didn't bother to actually clean it. The entire job just seem to have been done by an annoyed teenager who's mother is forcing her/him to clean up. So you do a partial job but not really bother with actually cleaning the place. After I called the service and complained, they were very nice about calling back right away and to schedule another appointment for a "manager" to come and "fix the problem". I really appreciate the fact that they reacted so quickly and professionally to the issue. A courteous young man "the manager" came to re do the cleaning. He did a good job "fixing" what wasn't finished, so basically washed the bathroom (did a good job this time) and cleaned the kitchen and the living room i think. We told him not to bother with the bedrooms. It seemed to me that besides the lack of motivation or ability to clean a house on the part of the first person who came in. The issue is that they sent an inexperienced person to clean a 3 bedroom 1 bath apt in 2.5 hrs. I used to have cleaners come in where 2 women would take 2.5 hrs to clean our apt. So It seems like they are either grossly underestimating the time or grossly overestimating their workers abilities. If you have a reasonable cleaning standard, STAY AWAY from this company. If you are happy with sub-par, sure, they are the one for you. Usually, businesses use websites like Living social, Buy with me, etc to get more business. This business does it backward. They assume that a customer that has purchased a discounted deal would not ask for great quality and instead of sending their 'best', they send people who have no idea what they are doing and measure their service by the number of hours spent, instead of quality. A month before my deal was to expire, I tried scheduling an appointment. Since there was nothing available weekend or weekday for the next 32 days, the website allowed me to get an appointment 2 days after the deal expired, honoring the deal. Much appreciated..! They also appear to have upgraded my cleaning to the "ultimate" package from the "standard" package, due to a verbiage confusion on the voucher. Which meant that they were supposed to provide cleaning services for 5 hours instead of 2.5 hours. Little did I know that these favors to me will be used as collateral to accept their sub-standard work which was rushed through by 2 men one of who was a complete novice. I use Yelp quite often but this is my first time writing a review as I felt compelled to do so after the cleaning I had done this past weekend. I sent an e-mail to Derek, the CEO of this company to let him know I was not satisfied with the cleaning. I gave him a few days to respond so they could have a chance at redemption, but after no response here's my review. So you all know, I purchased the Pro Cleaning service for my 3 bd apartment for $225. Theres a long list of duties included in the service which you can find on their website. I got a call about a half hour before my scheduled appointment to confirm, which I was happy about. The guy showed up promptly ready to work. However - he came by himself with a handful of cleaning supplies, some rags and a vaccum. I think I have better cleaning supplies sitting under my sink. When I asked why he was all alone to clean my 1,500 sq ft. apartment he mentioned that the other persion he was supposed to show up got called to another job. OK, not his fault, but I'm already feeling skeptical because 1. his cleaning supplies don't look professional at all, and 2. he is all by himself. We'll see how this goes. He went through the apartment and told me what he would clean. The pro cleaning package includes cleaning the inside and out of the refrigerator, microwave, and stove, as well as cleaning the baseboards. We paid extra (on top of the standard service) for this because these were areas that needed the most attention. He said "I'm not doing that" and I had to get my laptop and show him the website that laid out all the duties that were to be performend. "The website is wrong, but I'll do it anyway" was his response. Nice. I feel confident that I'm going have a spectacular cleaning. The guy ended up staying at my apartment for 4 1/2 hours, for which was labeled as a 3 hour service. I'm sure it was because they were understaffed. Anyway after he left I did a walkthrough of the place and could not believe how dirty my place still was. 1. The windows were only cleaned on the INSIDE. The outside of the windows weren't even touched! Pretty sure the outside of the window is the part that gets the most dirty. 2. Cobwebs left above door frames and on light fixtures 3. A ring of spilled coffee on the countertop around the coffee maker. 4. The baseboards were all dusty and dirty. One of the things we specifically wanted cleaned. 5. Crumbs in the corner of the kitchen floor. 6. They didn't even take out the trash!! I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. This is amateur hour at its finest. I've had cleanings done by Brazilians in the past and it was half the cost and 1000% better. There was nothing that Ultimate Cleaning did that was even remotely close to living up to its name. After signing a contract with these folks for a bi-weekly cleaning, you'd think you'd get reasonable service...The first time they came, they did a very average job, leaving dark sneaker marks in my bathtub and the rest of the apartment "MEH". Better than nothing, I suppose? Tuesday of this week, I put my dog in daycare to make life easier them to come clean. This costs me around $40. I also did my "pre-clean" preparation for her, left keys, a note, her check and a tip with the concierge, and came home to find that she didn't bother show up at all. Sum up all of these reviews and you've got my experience. I first purchased a standard cleaning through Living Social. I called and spoke to a nice woman and told her that instead of the standard cleaning I just wanted my stove and fridge done. She said no problem, I could have the cleaner do anything within the 2.5 hour timeframe. Great! Before my appointment I got a call from Derek the owner stating that Erin was running late. He was very apologetic and even called again with an update. Nice. When Erin showed up, she too was very apologetic. I told her it was not a problem and she set to work. Erin was pleasant, lively, and we chatted as she did a remarkable job on my stove and fridge. I was so pleased with the service that when I received my quote for regular cleaning I immediately signed up. I spoke to Derek again and asked if I could request Erin. He said yes. Then, it all fell apart. On the first day of my regularly scheduled monthly cleaning a man showed up to clean. MIke. When I asked where Erin was he said she was unavailable. Nobody ever called to tell me that there would be a change. Okay, I'm flexible. So he comes in and starts "cleaning". By cleaning he walked (slowly) around the house with a little rag and some spray. He sprayed the rag and wiped things. Moved hardly a thing. In the event that something was actually moved and cleaned around it was not moved back. I will list only a few of the messes that I found after he was "done": -Left wet mop on my hall runner leaving a wet stain on the rug and floor -Bathtub not cleaned; wet washcloth left in the tub (the one that I had left there that morning). He said it "fell". -Bath mat left in a pile in the corner of the room. Underneath was all the hair and dirt that hadn't been cleaned. -Not one scatter rug moved and floor cleaned underneath -Not one scatter rug vacuumed -Bedspread was put on wrong (there is fringe on 3 sides; it's pretty obvious which side is the top) -Left floors sopping wet so that my 6-year old son had to crawl around with a towel to get across the room -Faucets weren't touched -Trash was not thrown away -Nothing "sparkled" -Sink wasn't touched at all; there was still food left in the drain which, when I saw it, was the last straw. Like most reviewers I could go on. I tried to take their survey after Mike left but the link didn't work. I did submit feedback and someone (Debra) did send me an email stating that Derek got it and was "reprimanding" the cleaner. But I never heard from Derek himself. I sent Debra an email stating that I wanted to talk to Derek and never heard back. I sent Derek an email asking for him to call me and never heard back. Today I called and Derek answered. He sounded like I just woke him up, not at all the "CEO Derek" who called me to solicit my business. He went on to tell me that he spoke to Mike, who, ironically, is the Operations Manager. Mike felt that he did a good job and they were not going to be sending anyone out to "fix" my issues. I pointed out all that his website offered and how none of that was done, including sending someone else out. He went on to say that Erin no longer works there, and that Mike was the only cleaner available. He said that Mike simply was not going to do anything about. The whole conversation was bizarre. I was left with the feeling that they are going under and Derek is just plain out of it. If you want a clean house do not EVER use this company. read more

I had a buywithme voucher for this like many other posters. I didn't have high expectations after reading the comments on Yelp the night before they were scheduled to come, so in the end I was neither very disappointed or very surprised. It sounds like the girl who cleaned here did a better job than some of the other posters' cleaners. The major things were cleaned--kitchen surfaces, toilets, dresser surfaces, and the bed was made. I asked specifically that she empty the trashes, and she did (though she did not take it out). However, the floor, although cleaner than when it started, still has a lot of dust and debris. Also, there was no tidying at all (though my house didn't really require it). Overall, is my house cleaner than when she got here? Yes. Is it below the standard which I would expect? Yes. Would I use them again? No. Would I be pissed if I'd paid full price? Yes. I'd recommend going elsewhere. Cleaning Unlimited is awesome if you're looking for semi-regular help. read more

I was almost going to report the police that this company takes people's money through discount websites such as Living Social. - toilets were not cleaned - no professional and effective cleaning tools - floors were not cleaned properly as someone below mentioned - sinks were not cleaned - dust was still here and there (I doubt if the person touched it) Actually I DO NOT recognize anything different from the beginning. THE WORST EVER. I am embarrassed for this company. They get 1 star because I cannot give them -10! I bought a 2.5 hour cleaning from a deal site for $65 and I feel like I've been stolen from. This experience started off by my scheduled cleaner not showing up and no one calling to tell me. So 1.5 hours of my time was wasted on they day they were supposed to come. So, I reschedule for the next day and was not home during the cleaning. I have a small apt and I left them a very specific note to only clean my small galley kitchen and even smaller bathroom and then the floors in the common area, 300 sq. ft. max in 2.5 hours. I came home and nothing was clean. I cleaned everything I asked them to clean in 1 hour so, I am not sure what they had been doing for 2.5 hours. Perhaps since I was not home, they sat on my couch and watched T.V. I am in utter disbelief. Be warned- I would not let these people back in my home even if they offered me a free service. read more

I redeemed my GiltCity voucher for this cleaning. We have a medium size condo and two kids. We picked up before the cleaning and put 2 rooms on the don't clean list (have to put the clutter somewhere!). The rooms that our technician cleaned, including my son's room and his playroom - were organized and picked up nicely. Even his messy art table got a good once over. The mopping was great - maybe a vacuuming could've been done again after the floors dried just to get the last particles of sand and stuff that moved around from the rugs being pulled up. All little trash bins were collected and discarded and the tops of the dressers and fireplace mantle dusted. The kitchen and bathrooms were nicely done. However, inside the microwave was not cleaned. The best thing about the cleaning was that the house smelled WONDERFUL! I redeemed other vouchers in the past and had to keep the windows open in the house b/c of the harsh chemical smells. However, Ultimate Cleaning left a lightly scented, natural smell that wasn't overbearing and seemed "fresh." read more

I join a number of reviewers in wishing I could give Ultimate Cleaning Pros zero stars. On the plus side, they finally motivated me to create a Yelp account, simply to warn others in the Boston area to stay away from them. In what seems to be a familiar thread in these reviews, I bought a LivingSocial voucher for 2.5 hours of house cleaning. Things seemed fine at first: I was able to contact a representative on the phone to make sure I had all of the details correct, I got a confirmation email for my cleaning appointment early in December, and even got a reminder email of the appointment the day before. So far, so good! Then I went home in the middle of the work day to let the cleaners in. Fifteen minutes passed, then a half hour. I tried to contact them by phone and email to no avail. In fact, despite several email and voicemail messages, they never got back to me - to this day, they've never acknowledged the appointment. Fortunately, I was able to get credit back from LivingSocial (not a refund for my payment, mind you). To top it off, after the no-show appointment, I received an email with link to a customer satisfaction survey. You can imagine what sort of ratings they received. The take-home message, aside from avoid Ultimate Cleaning Pros at all costs? Always check a review site like Yelp before you buy an online discount voucher for services. I was a first time user of this service. My roommates and I all cleaned/tidied the apartment before they arrived so they could focus on the details. I was disappointed with quality of the service. The job was definitely rushed. I just asked them to do the Kitchen, Bathroom, living room and one bedroom and they struggled with that. The bathroom shower was not washed, some items were moved and not placed back, they didn't spend the time to get the corners when mopping/vacuuming. There were obvious spots they missed with the vacuum, they didn't take out the trash, my mirror was completely crooked. The windows were not cleaned. They dusted around items instead of lifting the item up and then dusting which left a pile of dust under objects. My bed was not even made. From what i can tell, they wiped things once with a cloth, sprayed a clean smell around the apartment, and vacuumed the floor. I could have done a better job with an hour of cleaning in my house. I am frustrated to have spent as much as I did for the job they provided. I will not use them again. read more

STAY AWAY! I bought a voucher for their service (2.5 hours of house cleaning) on Living Social Deals. I waited 3 months for an available appointment because they were so busy. On the day of the cleaning, I was contacted 10 minutes prior to my appointment time, saying they were running 15 minutes late. The cleaner arrived 50 minutes later. (I was understanding- traffic, etc). I instructed him that I did not want the entire (2 bedroom) apartment cleaned, only 2 areas were of concern- the bathroom and the stove/oven. He stated to me that he was here for 2.5 hours and could clean the entire house in that time. I acknowledged this and reiterated that these are the only 2 areas I needed cleaned. He proceeded to the bathroom, where I advised him the specific area I needed him to concentrate on; soap scum, mold, dirt/hair in the tub and tile wall and ceiling, small sink vanity, toilet, and the floor. The gentleman then closed the door to the bathroom and I thought he was hard at work till he came out 1 hour and 45 minutes later. He stated he was done and would work on the stove/oven. I went in to check on the bathroom expecting to be blown away in shine. I WAS DISGUSTED! Nothing was touched. The tub, vanity, and floor were in the same conditions as prior-DIRTY! The only thing that was cleaned was the toilet (but not even the base). When I asked why nothing else was was cleaned, he replied he did not know I wanted the other things cleaned...??.. He was using stainless steel cleaner on the tub, the tub is tile. He left my small wastebasket overflowing with dirty paper towels. While he was in the bathroom, I heard the toilet continually flushing. After he left, my toilet was completely clogged- he was flushing paper towels. He then proceeded to attempt to clean the stove/oven. He didn't even touch the oven and barely wiped the grime from the stove. He then left my house after spending only 2 hours. I am amazed by the negative reviews. I bought a Living Social coupon and just used the service. The young woman arrived exactly on time. My priority was my kitchen and she did an incredible job cleaning every surface and everything on every surface. I was home while she worked but I was busy and didn't watch over her. I would definitely use this service again--even at the regular price. Another positive point--I don't like to use services that take advantage of their employees, so I often ask people about the company they work for. I scheduled a house-cleaning for several rooms in my house (living room, dining room, master bedroom, master bath, guest bath, kitchen, stairs, hallways - it all adds up to a little over 1500 square feet) using the Living Social coupon, which was $65 for 2.5 hours of cleaning. Tammy called in advance to check in on the timing, which I appreciated. She was very pleasant. We had a discussion about my expectations for the cleaning, and she was very receptive but also clear about what was possible in the time allotted. For one person, she did all a person could do in the time alloted. She even stayed an extra 30 minutes to finish the kitchen floor, and she also dusted the light fixture in my bathroom - something that had been bothering me for a while. I think one thing that may be creating the bad reviews of this company is expectations not meeting reality. For example, for a house of my size, there is only so much that can be done in 2.5 hours. If you want every last detail covered (e.g., baseboards wiped clean; items picked up from shelves, dusted, and shelves dusted underneath them; tops of doorways and tops of windows dusted), then I think 2.5 hours is not enough time for one person. I do think, though, that the company could give its employees more tools for their cleaning. For example, extension dusters are great tools for very quickly cleaning baseboards without having to crouch over. They can also reach the tops of doorways. In addition, they make floor dusters that almost lay flat, so that they can reach under beds to catch dust bunnies. read more

I had the same issue as David D. Had difficulty reaching anyone to schedule back in SEPTEMBER and called for over a week. Finally, when I did reach a live person, I was told to book online. I attempted to book and could not do so until January, so scheduled a cleaning this week. This was never officially "confirmed", so I attempted to reach people in the office to make sure I was on. Never reached anyone and did not receive a call back. Have used three other cleaning companies in the past and never had such a hard time - I live in a new area now, so was looking for a new service - this will not be the one. DO NOT USE THEM!! I would give zero stars if I could. I bought a Living Social coupon and booked an appointment in July. I never heard from anyone, so the day before the appointment (in December) I sent an email. I received a response from Mike Dambrosio informing me that the appointment time was not available, which is why I never received a confirmation. I responded that I felt that was ridiculous, because I did choose an available time, and no one ever contacted me. Mike then bent over backwards to schedule a cleaning appointment for me, which I was happy about. He finally told me had a last minute cancellation for the following morning at 8:30 a.m. with Lina. I agreed, as that early time was best for me since I'd have to stay home to let Lina in. I received a confirmation from Mike and an official confirmation from the website. I spent a while that night tidying up my apartment and putting things away to make it easier for Lina. I stayed home from work in the morning so I could let her in. By 8:50 a.m. no one had showed up, nor did I receive a call or an email. I sent an email to Mike informing him of this and requesting reimbursement, and I left for work an hour later than usual. When I arrived at work I tried calling Ultimate Cleaning but no one answered. I sent another email later, and tried calling several times. No one ever answered, and I never received a reply. The Living Social voucher was of course marked as used. The following day I sent another email detailing exactly what happened, and informing Ultimate Cleaning that I would report them to the Better Business Bureau and write online reviews, and again requesting reimbursement. I did not ever receive a response. I did file a complaint with the BBB, to which Ultimate Cleaning never replied. I was able to get a credit through Living Social, but Ultimate Cleaning should honestly be prosecuted for their practices, and caused me to waste a lot of time. NEVER use them! read more

Worst service ever!!!! The worker did not sweep before he mopped. Therefore, I was left with dirty wet floors!!! Not one mirror was wiped down. He did not empty one barrel in ANY room, including the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Did not wipe down kitchen cabinets or bathroom sinks. When he vacuumed, he never moved a single piece of furniture. At one point, I did mentioned to him that the bathroom floor had not been washed. He apologized, went up stairs, and came down and said it was done. When I checked again, there was still dirt all over the floor. That is when I just gave up. We asked him to leave. I emailed the company stating I was disgusted and I had to clean for hours after he left. We never heard back. We finally got a hold of Mike the owner who was completely rude and unprofessional. Wish I could give zero stars. I am another sucker who bought a Living Social voucher - redeemed it at the Ultimate Cleaning website about a week and a half prior to expiration, but the earliest appointment I could book was for 3 months later. Received what I now presume was an automated email response confirming my booking (that was back in October) but now here it is, the day before my scheduled appt and I've tried repeatedly for DAYS to contact ANYBODY at the cleaning company to confirm that I should actually expect someone at my house tomorrow. Emails have gone unanswered and when I call the number nobody picks up and you can't leave a voice mail because the mailbox is already full. I took the day off work plus I'm expecting guests this weekend, so if no one is going to show up, I'd like to know so a) maybe I don't use a vacation day for nothing and b) I know I'm going to have to invest some sweat equity of my own in order to get my house clean enough for my liking to host others. The silver lining to this tale of woe is that I contacted Living Social and they gave me a credit (not on my credit card, but in "Living Social bucks", which is not ideal but I guess it's better than nothing.) This is the first time I've ever had an issue with a Living Social deal, and I must say that they did try to mitigate the problem. I won't lay the blame on them. But I will shout out a big CAVEAT EMPTOR!! My next door neighbors use a cleaning service that appears to be reputable and trustworthy - think I'll get a recommendation from them instead.... read more

Josh was extremely nice and a pleasure to speak with. He was very professional and I was impressed, hopeful that I had found a new cleaning service for regular cleaning. Unfortunately, once I came home to see what had been done I was extremely disappointed. It was very half-assed. The bathroom floor was still visibly dirty in some areas, all the tile on the walls had not been touched, and the cabinets had not been wiped down - the kitchen floor was not mopped and only swept when I lifted the area rug and pointed it out, my bed was very sloppily made, there were still dust bunnies in corners. What was cleaned was just done moderately well. Nothing was straightened out...AT ALL I had a pile of magazines that I had knocked over in haste as I was getting ready this morning and the pile was still a sloppy mess on the floor after the cleaning with a pair of earrings that I had dropped next to them. I have a small one bedroom apartment. Two total rooms and a small bathroom. The Living Social package I purchased for for a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment, if I had paid full-price for this, I would be absolutely livid right now. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing the Living Social deal. I am not entirely sure that the cleaners know what "clean" is. Neither my tub nor my toilet were clean, although the cleaners did manage to drop both a bath towel (which they retrieved) and a pair of tweezers (which they did not) into the toilet. The floors were not clean (swept, vacuumed, or mopped), nor was anything dusted. They did manage to "tidy up" by putting things into very strange places, including my hairspray which I have yet to find. I spent several hours recleaning to make my house acceptable for Easter dinner. I would not recommend this service. read more

I hired this company to clean my townhouse after I moved out. It had to pass inspection from the property management, which I explained to them. Apparently their idea of cleaning does not include toilet bowls, cleaning floors, cleaning the microwave or even using a dust pan!! The "kid" that "cleaned" even stayed an hour longer than he was scheduled for, but I truly have no idea what he did in the 3 1/2 hours he was there!! The place was empty so it shouldn't have taken that long. I ended up having to clean the entire place again so I wouldn't have to pay penalties to the management company. Bought a gilt coupon for cleaning service. Making the appointment online was quick and convenient, everything else was just that. The first appointment I had, they called twice asking if they could come early. I had to rush to get out of the house even though I had made an appointment time for a reason. The house was cleaned by someone who was "training". I swear the floors were not swept or washed. Stove and microwave were not cleaned, dust bunnies everywhere, cobwebs etc. I called and complained and received a second cleaning today for free. When the "manager" and a second woman showed up, he told me to tell me my needs and what I was not satisfied with. I told him the floors were not cleaned, the couch cushions were not removed or vaccumed, he said they would absolutely do both. Just came home to a house basically in the same condition as when I left it. I do have a camera in my living room set up, and did check in on them a few times. I saw the manager sitting on my couch once and the other times, he was walking around looking at his cellphone. Lots of talking between the two cleaners and barely any cleaning. NEVER AGAIN. Ok first off, I'm glad to have FINALLY finished up all my gilt city purchases with this company so I can post a comprehensive review. I bought multiple vouchers because the first cleaning was emergent and the guy did a pretty decent job. Then things went downhill. (1) nearly everyone that was sent to my apartment sucks at cleaning on different levels. There was only one latina woman that was sent only once to my apartment that did a great job. everyone else has NO attention for detail and should not be in this profession. I've strictly indicated that if something is moved it needs to go back to where it came from. The people who have cleaned my apartment were simply inept at following that instruction. I've vocalized that I'm meticulous if you can't put things back the way they were then take a darn picture before you mess up my apartment.These cleaners are just sloppy in their work ethic and way over-confident in their abilities. They don't THINK before doing nor do they use common sense--why are you wearing shoes around my bedroom after you just mopped the floor? Why are you putting dusty items on the table where I eat? Poor hygiene and just god awful. (2) The company itself is unprofessional. As one review put it I'm not sure why the owner is wearing $300 designer jeans whilst cleaning apartments. (this is indeed the case since the other owner was his brother and used to tell me that his brother likes to get all GQd out.) that seems inappropriate when the poor cleaning staff is probably only making minimum wage. Secondly, these people are either late or can't make it. Lastly, it'd be much much easier if the same person was sent each time as they advertise but that is simply not the case. Each person is worse than the person before. This last cleaner broke some stuff of mine and I'm not quite sure what on earth seh was doing in the bathroom for an hour and a half but it sure as heck was not cleaning (probably trying to fix the stuff she broke. I bought a coupon offline and wanted my place cleaned prior to my tenants moving in. I thought they did a great job. My tub was sparkling, floors mopped, they cleaned the inside of the fridge/freezer with no additional charge and they even vacuumed my rug and rolled it for me to make it easier for packing. I have to agree with everything that has been written about this company of the past several weeks. I suspect that they purchased the living social deal that we did. I would be livid had I paid full price for this cleaning. The young guy who came arrived early and was very polite, however he did a horrible job cleaning our house. We are hosting a birthday party tomorrow and I now have at least 2 hours of cleaning to do. The floors are by far the worst, they look as though they were not even vacuumed. Terrible service. They are not cleaners, they will show up and wipe stuff downa nd run a vacuum, but, nothing will be cleaned. Frig, shower stall, oven all needed to be recleaned. They never did anythig with cabinets closets etc. I paid them $200 fro a "deep cleaning" and had to have it done all over again. Do not wste your time and money. I got a living social deal where I got 2.5 hours of cleaning for $65. For the price I thought it was worth it. They scrubbed my whole bathroom clean, took out all the trash, swept all my floors. She even made my bed and folded a bunch of clothes for me. I had to leave early because I had to work so she locked up and none of my stuff was taken or gone through. She even was dog friendly which was great because I have a little guy and was worried it would be an issue. Were they the best cleaners in the world no, but was it worth it, yes. Of course I'd do the best job because it's my house and I can organize things the way I want and would be OCD about certain things but they scrubbed the heck out of my bathroom which I hate doing and cleaned up all the dog hair on my floors which was a big help. She was also really friendly and just listened to some music an did her work. I would use them again if I got another living social or groupon deal. read more
