Liz came in with Lisa and organized my pantry and kitchen. Not only did they help me sort through and discard FOUR bags of unnecessary items, but they left my pantry and kitchen so clean and organized that I thought I wanted to sleep in there! A few weeks later, we had them come and organize our garage. Our garage was the catch-all space for all things move-related, on top of our usual stuff. Every time I went in there, I got anxiety looking at all the stuff that needed to be unpacked and organized. Additionally, my husband's biggest goals were to (1) get his brand new tool chests organized and (2) simply be able to park his car in there. At the end of the very long and hot day of organizing, Liz and her team were able to organize EVERYTHING in our garage. They even sorted through all my husband's hardware (nails, nuts, bolts) and organized them into containers within his tool chest. Could I have organized my garage myself? I mean, yeah, probably. It sounds dramatic, but I think it's accurate to say that having everything organized is life-changing. No longer will we have to second guess what we have or where to find it, only to purchase a duplicate (or gulp, a triplicate) of it, but we can access it easily... and most importantly, we can keep up with the organization. I think that organization MUST be sustainable in order for it to work. Even now, months later, my daughter and several friends know where to get snacks in the pantry or items in the garage, and they know that they can put it all back easily if needed. I've had good and bad experiences. She is by far the best! Here are some reasons: 1) She is a hard worker. She actually donned a hazmat suit, gloves and face mask to clean out the rat feces in my basement that were covering my items that were in storage so she could organize them for me. I had several boxes of moving announcements that were unused. I moved 6 years ago. I thought I should hold onto them for my next move. She asked when that would be, I had to admit that I had no plans to move in the near future. She suggested that when the time came, I might desire new moving announcements, rather than one's I'd picked out a decade ago. Out they went! 3) She makes it so easy. She is awesome at working independently. Once in a while, she just brings me a box to "yes" and "no". The 'no" items just disappear. This is great because I would get bogged down trying to re-home everything. That is not the point. I trust that she will find good places for all the items I no longer need. I don't even think about it. 4) She is very clever about how she decides to organize the keepers. She comes up with systems that equally incorporate both function and style.
