I started out with the 6 week challenge and I was a little nervous since I stopped being active for a few years and really gained a lot of weight. I've always played sports and done HIIT training but nothing compared to CF. I came in with an open mind and really took it all in. Sebastian and Tommy really took their time teaching us the foundations of CF throughout the 6 weeks and starting off our workouts with a PVC pipe. They make sure that you understand the movements fully before you move onto weights. I've finished my 6 weeks and have been in regular classes for a little over a month. This box is truly a family. Everyone welcomes you with open arms and genuinely cares about you. All the coaches are super knowledgeable and really take their time studying your movements and making corrections if needed or adjusting the workout to your needs. My favorite thing about this box is that they focus on fundamentals and teach all athletes to listen to their bodies. It's not about who can finish the WOD first or lift the most weight. Everyone is humble and there are all walks of life that come thru the doors. I'm getting stronger everyday with the help of the coaches teaching and pushing me and with the encouragement from the fellow athletes. I have called the gym and have spoken to Nick the manager. He said that the last 200.00 charge to my account was going to be that week. I just looked in my account and they removed another 200.00 again. When I called to speak to the manager he said that I needed to come in and sign some paperwork in order need to stop the drafting. I told him that I have been very sick and that I have not been able to do much. He did not care about anything and continue to ignore my request. I advised the coach, Jenna, that I would be doing that. I've never had an issue with this at literally any other studio. She said I couldn't and that it wasn't part of the program. I tried explaining it was due to physical limitations but she kept trying to pressure me into doing the weight portion and forbid me doing full cardio even though there were plenty of open treads and strikers. Horrible customer service as trying to force people to do things they're not comfortable with can lead to injuries.

Came to Highland rec center for the aquatic area for my daughter's birthday. We signed up for the…read moreafternoon swim that was two hours long. Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

I reunited with Jared about a month ago to sign on for his "Three Weeks to a New You" program. I had gotten out of the habit of getting regular physical exercise and knew I needed to do something to prevent the exacerbation of my Stay Puff Marshmallow Man physique. Jared's approach of making gradual lifestyle changes to both my activity level and eating habits gave me a feeling of "I can do this". Before I even saw Jared I started making it a point to eat a small meal every three hours as I had morphed into a grazer of white flour and sugar products after receiving my mother's cancer diagnosis. I knew that exercise and proper nutrition would elevate my serotonins and therefore allow me to get through this crisis with some sort of sanity. I have decided to add on some additional sessions with Jared's assistant Christine to make sure my physical activity becomes a permanent part of my new lifestyle routine.
