They did OK and are very inexpensive however take a good book because they do not speak.I wont go again because they do NOT follow proper protocol as far as disinfecting goes. Re use files and that is a big NO NO.Files cost about 45cents and are meant to be thrown away after each person.Nippers ,clippers and cuticle pushers should be disinfected and kept sterile for each client. There's were just in a drawer. 2 clients were right after me and used on them no doubt. The work was done well but despite being a very clean environment they absolutely did not use proper protocol. Definetely health code violations being made here so beware if you are immuno compromised or have and scratches or cuts on your feet or toes. read more

Had the best vibe! Just moved to Dallas from Washington, and found this hidden gem! They were polite on the phone, got me in quick, and did a beautiful set of nails and a perfect paint job! Haven't had nails in years and was always cut on my skin, and harassed for biting my nails before, the gentlemen was nothing but sweet, gentle and easy going on conversation. I visited Ultra Nails in January, 2024 as I was new to the area and was looking for a good pedicure. The nail polish was fine, but there was no massage, which to me is the main draw of a pedicure! I didn't go back for a couple of months, but decided to give them another try. I called and told the person who answered about the issue I had and asked if maybe I just hadn't requested the correct service. He told me they always do a massage. I said that may be policy, but they hadn't done one in my case. He suggested that maybe I forgot. When I said I hadn't forgotten, I didn't have one and I wanted to see if I needed to order another service instead to get the massage. He told me he wasn't going to argue and not to come there. Went in for a birthday pedicure today - they fit me in same day! First time there and will definitely e back, great spa gel pedicure for a very reasonable price. Facility seemed really clean too. The massage was a little short, and they don't have painted nail swatches so it was a bit difficult to pick out a color! But other than that very happy and will be back! read more

I have been going into Salem to get my nails done and thought I'd give a local Dallas shop a try. I've been to Ultra Nails twice and both times I left with less than perfect satisfaction. The first time, the man did my nails. He left the acrylic a bit ragged and when I pointed it out, he said he'd file it after he did the gel polish. This is such a bad practice as it damages the polish. Then, when it was time for the top coat, he dipped the brush into the bottle once and then used that dipping for 3 nails before repeating this for the rest. And he only did one layer of top coat, when 2 is the norm everywhere else. And the gel was still not completely dry/set when I left. The second time there, the lady did my nail fill (acrylic). She was very gentle and did a fantastic job on the shape and length that I wanted. When it was time for the polishing, she did not use the normal base coat and just started with the color. She did do three coats to get it to the proper opacity. And she did dip the brush into the top coat for every single nail. But only did one layer instead of the two I'm accustomed to. My nails were not dry/set when I left, but I only discovered this when I got home and noticed that my thumb nail looked like the gel was moving. I used a tissue and wiped off quite a bit of it. Now, I could go back in and have them redo the color, but I never want to go there again. Luckily, I have the supplies needed to change the color myself here, but I shouldn't have to. I can't give them a super bad rating because the nails are okay. But, I don't want to sit and micromanage them as they do my nails. They should instinctively KNOW the steps needed. I really dislike that they have no nail polish samples on the fake nails to help pick color. Instead, one must go and look at all the bottles on a wall and choose based on whatever one can see on the bottle. So weird. read more

Great environment, clean, organized, & not cluttered but, the work done is a hit or miss. I will keep coming back for the environment though, even if I have to file my nails to my preferred shape when I get home. read more

Not happy. Asked for matte pink to white fade, a little bit long and narrowed out on the edges but not as narrow as coffin. I got glossy short and very wide nails. On my thumb (that I didn't even take a picture of because it was so bad) the fade wasn't even a fade across half of it because it was so choppy. Multiple people pointed out to me that it was choppy and not a fade. What I got vs the picture I had showed them yikes. Save your time & go to Solar Nails on River Rd in Keizer. read more

This place was absolutely the WORST salon I have ever been to. Not only are they dirty and not care about hygienics ( Just spraying the foot tub with Clorox then immediately rinsing it, Not sanitizing ANYTHING, not allowing me to bring my own file and buffer then using a very old and used one on me and not washing their hands after a pedicure then coming to do my nails) But the customer service was horrendous. The guy who owns the place was rude, short (as in how he spoke) and seemed like he just didn't want to do it. When it came to getting my set (plain pink acrylic) he told me it was 28$ for them. After receiving a horrible set he charged me 65$!! Said he would call the police if I left without paying! Nails were un even, polish on my fingers, different sizes, didn't let me wash my hands after the dip powder, USED THE DREMEL TO CUT MY NAILS, cut my finger then wiped the sulotion on the bleeding cut and said it doesnt hurt that bad don't make it a big deal and I can still see the nail bed AND HE PUT 3 COATS ON!!! He got upset with me more than once when I was saying things like "I think you need to fix this one" or " I'm sorry to be a bother but these don't look to great" Im not over reacting at all it was just horrible. I've lived in Dallas for three years and been a mani-pedi customer since. I always call and make an appointment because I am sensitive to the schedule of the technician and I am never late. I have a lot of respect for people who make their living by appointment. After covid hit I waited for the all-clear to get a pedicure. I arrived for my pedi appointment and ended up waiting 50 minutes. They had just started a pedicure and two full sets before I walked in the door. Three weeks ago I made a pedi appointment and arrived a couple of minutes early. I had to wait 45 minutes for them to get started as they were both busy with other clients. Both times I was respectful and waited quietly until they were ready for me. Today I had a 4pm appointment. When I arrived on-time, one of the owners was gone and the other had just started on a full set. She didn't acknowledge my presence when I walked in so I waited. 10 minutes went by and I finally asked her how long it would be and reminded her of my 4pm appointment. She did not apologize and asked me to come back at 5:30 p.m. I said no thank you, it's obvious that my respect for an appointment with you is not on the same par as your respect for my time. I went out to the car and booked an appointment tomorrow at a salon in West Salem. Sadly, I will not return to Ultra Nails. read more
