I immediately left both a voicemail and email, which never received a response. I called and emailed again, and again, and again. Then the shipping confirmation email came through. I called and emailed once more BEGGING them to correct this issue before the item actually shipped. Once again, crickets. The items arrives, incorrect of course. I call and email again in the hopes of an exchange. Again, no response. PayPal won't help because I received 'a functional item'. I've never come across a business that gives absolutely zero f#@&$ about even attempting to make their customers happy. Poor customer service would be bad enough, but NO customer service is just unbelievable. This entire situation could have been resolved before it even happened with a simple response. Being an essential worker I'm acutely aware of the difficulties of remaining in business and staying compliant with all the rules. Having worked in customer service for many years I am however aware of a canned response when I see one and dont appreciate being strung along via the 2-3 canned responses I've received which match other reviewers experience exactly word for word. Tge website FAQ Quotes 1-3 days to ship product and up to 4 weeks during highest demand. If you are having staffing issues or supply chain issues you should be honest about the delay and even update your website clearly. Instead I see weekly solicitations, deals and new product preorders which would indicate your company is healthy. That said - the 1 star is strictly on my experience with ordering and customer service processes. Tge sad thing is my daughter had picked a different product and I convinced her your product was a better use of her money and I have disappointed her by putting my trust in you. Getting a bit frustrated. I ordered two sabers from them on March 6, 2020 for over $400 worth!!!! I specifically ordered from them BECAUSE they are not shipping from China. In fact, they are across town in greater Houston. I have been waiting for delivery, at three weeks I contacted them and they said the average delivery time is four weeks due to the new movie release and high volume of orders. Okay, I can understand that. Little irritated, their website doesn't indicate that. It indicates that shipping should usually be within a few days. It is now May. While I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, it it now June 5th, and I still don't have my product. I tried desperately to navigate the website for this Ultrasabers and eventually got to the point where I understood how to order two custom built lightsabers. Unfortunately, the option to add a USB soundboard was very confusing. I finally received my sabers in mail, but there was no sound. While I realize that I must have made a mistake in the ordering options. There is little to no empathy or help from their customer service. They said I would have to pay roughly $150 to send the sabers back ON MY OWN ACCOUNT! Also, they said it would be an additional $355 to fix both sabers on top of the re-stocking fee and instead of a refund I got a store credit that I will never use! Their customer service is trash! Next day I got an email from Ultra Sabers letting me know that all of a sudden the parts for my saber were in stock. My son ordered an ultrasaber lightsaber for his 12th birthday, May 7th 2020. It is now June 22 and we still have not received his order and there is no information regarding this order, is it being processed, was it missed. Nothing. If I had not initiated contact with this company on May 29th requesting an update on the order, I don't believe I would have been contacted at all. This is just bad business. I completely understand that we are in the middle of a covid-19 pandemic. I also understand that in order to keep your staff and your customers safe that you need to downsize working with less than half staff. I also understand that with all of this going on there is a 4-week lead time before any ultrasaber lightsabers are shipped. I get all of this. What this company doesn't understand is that they did not lose me as a customer because of a poor product or because I didn't receive the product, they lost me as a customer because they should have kept me informed regarding where we were at with the product. This is what I mean about Bad Business. We ordered the ultrasabers lightsaber on May 7th of 2020 I'm writing this review June 22nd 2020 I've written three emails. On May 29th I inquired about the status of my order and was met with the standard message : " At Ultrasabers we typically are able to get all of our orders shipped out with 1-3 business days, however with the current world events we have faced many delays and stock issues due to limiting staff to ensure distancing both at the workshop and machine shop to keep everyone healthy and safe.  And due to this unprecedented event we have a lead time of an estimated  4 weeks.  I apologize for any inconvenience with the delay and we will do our best to get this order shipped out for you as quickly as we possibly can.  We will email you the tracking # as soon as this order ships out." Since I recieved NO updates, I sent a 2nd email on June 15th, well past the 4 week lead time, inquiring once again on the status of my order. This was the response I got:  "I looked up your order and it looks like it did not ship out with the 4 week lead time posted on the website.  We have faced many delays and stock issues due to limiting staff to ensure distancing both at the workshop and machine shop to keep everyone healthy and safe. I apologize for any inconvenience with this order not shipping within the 4 week lead time.  Please give me a couple of business days to look into your order.  We will email you the tracking number as soon as this order ships out." When again I recieved absolutely no communication I sent my 3rd email June 22nd, well past the 2 day request for time to look into my order. In this email I requested the cancellation of this order and a refund of the cost of the light saber $75 and the cost of shipping and handling of $15.84 (since nothing got shipped or handled) for a total refund of $90.84. I feel this is a fair request. I am still awaiting a response. Its unfortunate that Ultrasabers didnt try to keep me, their customer, informed. That would have made things so much better and I would have understood if there was a unforseen delay or issue on top of the issues of Covid already in place. Communication with customers is key. It can make or break a business Similar to word of mouth. Now when friends and family who love Star Wars and are.looking for their next saber I will NOT recommend this company, then they wont reccomend it to their friends and family and so on and so forth. How quickly word of mouth spreads throughout communities. I had ordered from Ultra Sabers several times in the past and never had any issues. Each time I got a great product at a reasonable speed. However, this time has been a nightmare. I spent over $600 to get sabers for myself and both of my children. I ordered in April and it is now July. I have not heard a word. I've emailed and called multiple times. I've reached out on all available social media. Even just any kind of contact would have been good. "Your parts have been delayed due to COVID" or even just some kind of a basic response. Silence is the worst possible thing. To add insult to injury they keep announcing new sales on their website and advertising. Plus there are people saying they have gotten orders since then. Not unlike most of the other reviews I'm reading, I am extremely frustrated with this company. As of right now, 10/10 would NOT recommend. For starters, it has been OVER 6 weeks since we placed our order and we have yet to receive any of the products we purchased, nor have we received any update with tracking info, etc as to when we should be expecting our items. Secondly, it's near impossible to get ahold of anyone in their customer service department. Their products are not cheap, making matters worse. To have already been charged for these items without any clue as to when we're receiving them seems like fraud to me. At this point, after reading several other horrible reviews, I'm nervous to even receive what we ordered. As many people have mentioned they didn't receive the correct sabers, they were broken or damaged, etc. I plan to report this company to the BBB while I wait to hear from someone. This is no way to run a business and certainly no way to treat your customers! UPDATE (9 days since above post): Customer service responded via email asking for 1-2 days to look into our order. I am an avid lightsaber collector and have bought sabers from several other companies in the past. I have heard good things about Ultrasabers so I decided to give them a try. On June 9th, I purchased two sabers( Hilts only, mind you. No electronics.) as an anniversary gift for my wife with the understanding that the lead time was 3-4 weeks due to the Rona. It is now July 25 and not a single word about my order. Needless to say, instead of a pair of sabers, my wife got to look at pictures from the website of sabers that she MIGHT have one day. ( Thank you, Ultrasabers.) As if that wasn't bad enough, I read on the saberforum that people were still ordering and recieving there orders well UNDER the 3-4 week lead time! After trying ,without success, to contact customer service, I decided to try a little experiment. On July 8, one month after my initial order, I placed an order for another hilt. I recieved the hilt less than a week after ordering! Although, the hilt was missing a covertec wheel and switch box that I had ordered for it. Needless to say, I have contacted customer service about the missing parts to no avail. So, here we are, July 25 and my wife is still waiting for her anniversary gift. My third hilt still missing parts...and nothing from Ultrasabers but silence....... I decided to go with ultrasabers because I heard that the lead time and customer service were way better than Saberforge. I have to say that this is NOT TRUE. Also, the saberforge sabers are of a MUCH higher quality, Judging by the one hilt that I did receive. So, keep that in mind if you are debating which saber company you should by from. read more

After 5 weeks I'm just now being told that my hilt is out of stock. After 3 weeks I had a chat with customer service asking when my ship date would be. I was told to give it at least 4 weeks from the date that I ordered because it was stated in the terms and conditions that items take 4-6 weeks to ship. So I waited two more weeks and checked back after 5 weeks total. I was then told that my hilt was out of stock and I could order something different. I'm glad I reached out because I'm not sure when they would have got back to me. I asked them cancel my order and credit my card the $247.53 that they already charged me for because I'll just order a similar product elsewhere because I have no confidence that this company would provide me the product that I ordered. I was then told that I would be charged a "restocking fee" in order to cancel my order. So............I'm getting charged close to $50.00 for a restocking fee for an item that is out of stock. Basically, I'm getting charged close to $50.00 for absolutely nothing. My order total was $247.53 and my total refund was $198.02 which still hasn't shown on my credit card after 3 days. This company seems to like to take money from people without providing them anything in return. I would actually go as far as stating that this company robbed me. I have purchased my light saber collection from this company since 2017. I thought the customer service is good, I never had issues. If I had a question or if I was missing a component from my order it was addressed and taking care of. I received, the Guardian and the Electrowind sabers with the sound. Honestly, if your serious in getting a quality saber, you have to go all out! sound, lights, belt clip, with an interchangeable sound board and lights as an option, also to mention getting the recharable battery pack for the saber is also great. Both received in great shape and workmanship. I was missing a charging cable to the battery pack on one of the sabers and it was sent at no charge. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the sabers and plan to buy another one. I also like how you can change the pommel from one saber to another one for a different look if its the same diameter. The long tubes that fit on the sabers are pretty sturdy for use in an actual fight, granted that you don't over do it with great force. I forgot to mention it would be a great idea to get a saber plug, this will protect the saber when not in use. I have this because I remove the tube for easy storage. read more
