Only thing to note is that their prices are well above MSRP last time I was shopping around for packs. The person who runs the store, though, is super friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They host free game play and have both open play areas and game rooms. Atomic Gaming also hosts game tournaments for different popular TCGs like Lorcana. The store is very clean, well-organized and fairly spacious. They also offer a wide variety of snack foods including Lunchables (for when a bag of chips just won't cut it). The bathroom is the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a gaming store, and they had free hygiene products, which I always really appreciate. When I visited the store, my boyfriend was competing in a Lorcana tournament. The tournament was run pretty well, but it did not start on time (almost 30 minutes late) and there was down time between rounds. The staff was very friendly and they let me just hangout and do my own thing while my boyfriend competed. Their trade in deal for tournament day was a bit low compared to other stores I have seen (70% trade in value vs 80%), so that was a small downside. I definitely recommend Atomic Gaming Cafe! Me and some friends stopped by Craft Land the other night after dinner, and it ended up being a…read morereally fun time. It was my first visit, and exploring Houston's Chinatown at night just adds to the vibe. Bright lights, great energy, and cool little places like this tucked into plazas. We came mainly for the claw machines, and they definitely delivered. These aren't your usual scammy machines where you walk away empty-handed and annoyed. The win rates here are actually decent. We saw a bunch of people pulling out prizes, and we managed to win a few cute plushies ourselves. There's a wide variety of machines too, with everything from small trinkets to giant stuffed animals. This place could be a fun date spot if you're both a little playful or competitive, but honestly it's perfect for kids. The atmosphere is light and casual, and there's plenty to keep them entertained. One thing I didn't totally get was the "tufting" part of the name. After looking online it looks like you can do rug making workshops but I'm not sure where they'd host this as the place was full of claw machines. That being said we didn't check that part out, but maybe next time. When I got to the checkout line, the cashier was nice enough to let me know that what I was purchasing was on sale. She informed me that the sale would end that day at the close of business but that by the time they reopen on Monday, a new sale would begin. After that, I couldn't wait to check the online ad the next day to see what was on sale for the following week! It's still the same sale BUT that's fine with me. I had a wonderful time painting and chatting here with my friends this past weekend. We came in during the evening time and stayed till a little past closing to finish our pieces, and Mark was absolutely amazing and so patient in helping us wrap up and clean up. I have been to other pottery painting places in the past, but this place by far has the best selection of items at a super reasonable price range. I found multiple items that I would've wanted to paint and take home. During the time there, Mark made sure that our group was well taken care of, understood the use of the brushes and tools, and shared fun stories and jokes while passing by us every once in a while. With the music in the background and the colorful walls surrounding you, this is a great space to channel your artistic talents and have a good time away from the hustle and bustle of life.
