First time using services of Ultra Trim Auto Restyling. I needed to reupholster the original seats for my 1982 Toyota Starlet. I called about over a dozen auto upholstery shops through Yelp and Craigslist. I came across Ultra Trim Auto Restyling through Yelp and messaged them. Tom replied promptly was quoted a very reasonable price. I came to meet him at the shop and told him to reupholster the original seats with the same pattern but with a more durable material. He showed me a variety of good quality materials and told me to give him a week to complete. A day earlier from a week's timeframe, which is today, I got a message from Tom with an update and pictures of some of the completed seats. He also told me he will most likely finish the last seat and will keep me posted. Before the end of my work day, I got another message from Tom stating that the seats are ready and asked me if I will be picking up today or tomorrow. I was so amazed on how they looked on the pictures that I said I will pick them up today. When I saw them in person, I was really impressed! Who says you can't get high quality service and product at a reasonable price?! This was better than factory! I paid with credit card and was charged 3% credit card fee which I should have been informed ahead of time so I could have just paid in cash. Reason for my 1 star is...well my s2000 is a 2000 and my brother is a 2006. We placed a deposit for canvas top. My brother got a glass window and I got still a plastic window. I am very dissatisfied with it. I paid the same price as my brother just to get a plastic window. If anything plastic should have been cheaper. The owner Tom did not offer to fix the problem. My original top was still in good condition. I am still Pissed off that this is not the top I was expecting. There were no apologies or any sort. Now I have to save up money again to buy a top with a glass window. I would not recommend this shop as the owner assumed I wanted the original style plastic window. Tom, The note stated what the vehicle have currently on. It never stated to install plastic window. Either way the job is done I'm stuck with a top I don't need. I waited for a response from Tom to see what robin or he can do. I waited for 2 weeks for a response and never got one. Therefore I have a low star rating. Other owners were lucky, I unfortunately was screwed. For potential customers I would recommend getting what job is being done written and learn from my error and hope for the best read more

Went over here to have them Install a new Chevrolet van driver's seat cover that is for the lower half of the seat the part you sit on! I had initially contacted Tom through Yelp and asked him could they Install the seat cover as its kind off difficult to do or at least to get it to look right, so it looks like factory fitted. And he replied on yelp with a price, today I went by their shop and one of their techs took my van into shop and fitted the seat plus re-packed cushion into the other part of the seat as it was down to the cloth rubbing against the frame!, they done that for a small additional fee, the owner asked me to sit in van and feel out the new seat before I paid well it felt like being in a new van and looked awesome, do not hesitate to let these guys take care of your upholstery in your vehicle as you will be glad you did & all for a very reasonable price. read more

When we bought a new Toyota RAV 4 for my wife in February it came with very light seat covers while the exterior was a dark silver. My wife wanted black seat covers. The sales rep stated we could purchase black seat covers made for this model due to side airbags. We had them installed, total mistake. They did not install them correctly so the driver seat cover kept coming off. I found Ultra Trim on Yelp, communicated with Tom who understood everything. My wife and I met him and she selected the color and the material, like leather. When we finally had the covers installed they actually removed the seats and they fit perfectly. My wife loves them, happy wife happy life. Tom guided us through the process perfectly. I waited there and the technician brought out the front passenger seat, marvelous work. His prices are very reasonable for the quality materials used and the time/labor. I had my 2017 tundra cm fully reupholstered with leather and seat heaters for significantly less than every where else! His craftsmanship is very professional and the leather is high quality, the seat heaters are amazing and get nice and very hot! I dropped my car off in the late morning and it was done in the early afternoon same day!!! I recently bought a brand new SUV and got the base LS model 2020 Chevy Traverse AWD with cloth seats.. Ultra Trim Auto Restyling did an absolutely amazing job with our new Ride. I was worried at first to bring my brand new Traverse to an upholstery shop to have leather installed. But I looked at Yelp reviews and pictures. Talked to Tom and he told me he has been in business for over 20 years and also has contracts with new car dealerships. He uses Katzkin leather which is specifically cut to OEM specs. You can even look up Katzkin leather on youtube and see how they manufacture the leather seats at the factory in Montebello and across the world. He also installs heated and or cooled seats for a little extra cost. He gave me the best price out of all other Upholstery shops. I was looking for a place to install leather seats into my RAV4 EV. I researched it online, asked around for quotes, and heard about Tom and his business on a RAV4 forum. After seeing the great reviews posted online and as his quote was far better than what I was receiving from other places, I decided to go with his company. He quoted $ 995 vs other places that were quoting $ 1450 to do all the seats, the door panels, and the center console! From the get go, I was very impressed with his communication skills. He would respond within 15 minutes to emails and was very cordial on the phone. Also, he was very flexible, agreeing to see me after hours (after 6) which is key because where I work, it would have been very difficult to meet up during his office hours. And I was even more impressed when I met him as he's just a great person. All of this helped confirm that I had made the right choice. What's great about his company is that he can either pick up your car or your car seats from where you live. Therefore, there's no dropping if off and needing someone to drive you back home which is super convenient. We were able to schedule the pick up service at my house THE NEXT DAY! He picked up the seats in the MORNING and was done that EVENING! This is huge because the last time I had leather seats installed in another car, my Leaf, it overall took one week because of all sorts of random "delays." But this was not the case with Tom, who's turn around time was amazing. Also, I'm happy to report that it looked FANTASTIC. Tom uses Katzkin leather which is pretty high grade and highly reviewed. These are NOT seat covers (I think Clazzio is). He takes off the factory cloth off and fits the leather on for a factory look. Oh, and the Katzkin leather was softer and overall better looking than the factory leather (my original seats were mix of cloth and leather). Tom is trustworthy, honest, and I have to stress again, a super nice guy. I was very satisfied with every part of this process and I very much look forward to working with him on other projects such as aftermarket safety equipment installation (he does SO MUCH MORE than just leather seats). This is probably one of the few shops that has good customer service. Mr Tom is one of those guy you can't go anywhere else. From day one, Tom kept in touch with all the questions I had and took me a while to get the right color. I love my car and my convertible top was starting to look very worn. This company replaced my top and did a fab job and I cannot say enough great things about, my Service Guy, Tom coz he was awesome! I also had problem with my electric seat adjustment for three years. DIdn't have that repaired coz i took to Dealer who wanted bucco bucks for what they said was the motor replacement. I mentioned it to Benji, the first person who evaluated the service I needed, and he seem to know the problem- which possibly not the motor but a switch-apparently they've 3 or 4 in the the past with same problem. Communication is key, and Tom texted me immediately when I asked for status or had questions since he was my contact person. From the first time I communicated with Tom with my estimate (which was less than most places I researched... and I do my research!) to my conversation with Benji who evaluated my service, to the time I paid my bill..everyone was super professional and easy to work with. Best money you can spend on your car. My car has over 180k miles and was looking a little tired in the seat department. Pulled the trigger and ordered the seats and picked out my color of leather. Excellent customer service for the ordering process all the way through the install. Overall it only took a few hours for the install and what an immediate difference. My truck feels/looked/smells brand new again. The owner even called me a couple weeks after the installation to make sure I was completely satisfied and that there were no issues. It was a fantastic experience and definitely a company to use for anything related to car upholstery.
