I had some time this weekend, so I stopped by Audio Motorsports to get some advice and ended up just doing the install, since they could do it now, and the price they offered me was great. Nick was an excellent salesperson; he's an old-school guy with a deep history and knowledge of audio, and he helped me get off the fence with the different brands and boxes I was researching. I was originally looking at some subs for under the seat, but ended up getting a Kicker sub with Nick's advice, since he said under-the-seat subs aren't that great and, for the same price, a boxed sub with an amp will sound better. The installation took about an hour and a half, and you can either wait in-store or at a few nearby plazas to eat and wait. The install itself was clean and professional. Overall, loving the bass. I might be back soon if I upgrade the stock speakers in my ride to improve mid- and high-frequency clarity. On another note, I didn't know they also do tinting. Nick offered a good deal, but it's too bad I just recently had my tint done elsewhere. If I had known, I would have saved some money on my tint by doing it at Audio Motorsports.

Unfortunately, right after the camera installation, my car started making a noise it had never made before, coming from the same area where the installation took place. Alonzo believes it may be the brake booster. I can't say for sure the installation caused it, but the timing is concerning. I want to believe that if something was accidentally disturbed during the installation, it was simply an accident. I was very patient with the shop and the owner ricardo lopez who is the owner and all I kept getting excuses after excuses every other 2-3 weeks id called to get a status on my car and all the priorities ricardo had was his car shows over his customers at the shop which is unprofessional b specially as an owner. mind you at this point he had asked and required most money up front and yet no advance on my vehicle at this time. after said and done almost 8 months later of me being persistent with them completing my car I finally get it back I'd say they did an ok job but the outcome I can tell they rushed the work to get me off there ass. as long as they had my car it should have been almost perfect....well far from it it had lots of blemishes fish eyes orange peel and contaminants from the air which was probably sprayed outside and not inside the spray booth I called ricardo out on all the blemishes and he gave me excuses that it was materials that was probably used from the past and that was the cause for paint to react that way.that was not the cause. he told me to bring it back another day when they are less busy and he would take care of it months later I brought my car back I noticed parts of the body of my car there was ripples or wrinkles on the paint as if it was bubbling. he noted that and again ricardo gives me another excuse that it's a new type of paint that they are using and perhaps it dint work as well as previous paints they were using. unacceptable as much as I paid my car was left with lots of blemishes. I would recommend other shops that have pride and loyalty and integrity with there business and customer service.
