Decent ramen for the price, not overly big portions but decent sized enough to fill one person for a meal. We got two different types of ramen and also ordered a side of noodles which is a good portion itself. We ordered the kara age shoyu ramen and the tonkotsu ramen. Both were good and had decent flavor. There was only two pieces of cha su in the tonkotsu ramen which did seem on the smaller side. The kara age shoyu ramen had three pieces of cha su and also side of the karage chicken. Decent size and pricing for a quick lunch at the mall.

The food here is fantastic. The service is friendly and efficient. The ambience is perfect. I wish I lived here so I could eat here every day. The soba was perfect. Excellent flavor.

Good ramen and good service. I had the spicy beef ramen with added spinach and egg. It was very tasty. I would've liked it spicier but I was told I can ask for it more spicy next time! We went early on a Friday evening and the food came out surprisingly fast. My husband enjoyed his spicy pork ramen as well so we'll definitely be going back now that it's getting colder out.

Saturday morning walked in and no wait basically restaurant to ourself . Perfect day for ramen in the suburbs . Loved all the decor inside . Staff super friendly . Crab Rangoon , creamy crab crispy delicious with very common sweet and sour sauce it came i. 4 pieces . It was shared so I did have two I just wanted one more . Tan tan ramen medium , perfect spice for me , if you ever had shin ramen definitely not as spicy . Tonkatsu ramen , creamy full of flavor 3 pc Shrimp tempura , on the saltier end for but perfect tempura outing. Thai tea perfect sweetness was gone in 30 minutes . I would definitely come back to try their other food bowls .

Went here on a Friday night. I got a spicy pork broth ramen and I added chashu. Very good not as spicy as it looked. Restaurant was clean and service was good. It's in the mall so parking is great. I'd go back.

Vegetable miso ramen yummy. Must try!

My second time here. Tried the vegetable ramen this time. Now my favorite! Service done well. Highly recommended for authentic Japanese cuisine

Delicious new ramen spot! Today was their Soft opening so the service was a little slower but the staff was friendly and the ramen we got was delicious. Fairly priced and the portion size is great. We got the shrimp tempura udon (asked for the tempura to be on the side) so it doesn't get soggy and also got the chicken karage ramen. Udon broth was clear and refreshing and the tempura was huge. Came with two shrimp tempura and veggies. The karage ramen broth was more soy based and not salty. Had a lot of good flavors with the mushrooms and veggies within the ramen. The chicken karage was perfectly fried and not oily. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It also came with a nice soft boiled egg. They offer a lot of different ramen and rice dishes. Menu is available from the QR code that is available at every table or at the front counter. Definitely will be going back to try their other menu items and drink options too.

In the former pizza place is Umaka Ramen. I felt a bit of Deja vu as it feels like the pizza place and I wanted to step up to the counter to order. There was a staff person who greeted me and directed me to a table. I ordered crab Rangoon and tonkotsu ramen. I thought the Rangoon were excellent, crispy and filled with cream cheese and crab. The ramen was sprinkled with kelp, seaweed and fish cakes. The pork belly was very tender. However, I thought the broth was bland. Overall nice, I will come back to sample some of the other items.

If you want semi+authentic ramen, to this is not the place to go. Just head out to Arlington Heights to Mitsuwa or go to Chicago Ramen. They can't even do Curry right, as it was served separately in it's own bowl. Tasted like Vermont Curry.

The food was good and the service was super fast. I wish they had more flavors but overall it was good. We also had the crab Rangoon and they were so good!!

Amazing new ramen spot at Old Orchard Mall, quite frankly I think this spot is what will have my husband come with me to the mall more often . The interior is modern, beautiful, and spacious. We were quickly sat down and given menus which had plenty of options to choose from ramen to rice bowls. We ordered the chicken ramen, karaage, tantan ramen, and two sodas (watermelon & peach). All the above were delicious and I can't wait to go back and order more!

Consider a nice casual eating establishment with above average service. The food is easy on the eyes and taste buds. At least .... Try it first yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Very average mall food court quality located in a casual sit down place. The takoyaki, gyoza and crab rangoon tasted like they were frozen and reheated, while the tonkotsu ramen was one of the worst I've had based on the broth, ingredients and noodle texture. The chicken katsu was crispy but the curry was average. Prices are about average and service was decent but slow at times as there seemed to only be one server. The unagi don was a very small portion compared with the picture on the menu, and they used a bunch of pickled ginger and broccoli to disguise it - definitely not worth the $24 price.

Disclaimer I forgot to take a picture of what I ordered, which was the chicken teriyaki bento box I forgot because I was so hungry and everything was so freshly cooked and hot that I just dived right in. That bento box had edamame a spring roll gyoza and the rice covered in furikake plus the chicken teriyaki and seaweed salad and more. I also ordered the lychee jasmine tea, which was cold and absolutely delicious and it was not a cup of diabetes, thank goodness We also ordered a Tonkatsu bowl, which was very generous, freshly cooked and super tasty. Both orders came with a miso soup, which was also piping hot and tasty. The set up is definitely a little bit more fast food because you can order to counter and then get your food on a tray and sit down or you can order it from a kiosk as well. They also do takeout orders. The best part about this place besides the food and the ambience are just so cute and modern and clean is the staff and the manager. People really do make the difference and people really do enhance an experience and an overall lasting and first impression. I would absolutely come back here. It is super conveniently located. We ordered two rolls as well, salmon rice bites, two appetizers, and two sides of sashimi. So we left three of the nigiri on the plate.., the rolls were not great as well... seeing how off the nigiri was left quite a bit of the sashimi on the plate. Forced ourselves to eat since our bill came to $180 with tip but seeing the amount of food left the server kindly asked us to whether we wanted to box anything and didn't want to get sick so politely declined. Seeing that most of the tables around us stuck to ramen understand that is why this place has good reviews.... The star is purely for the service (they sweetly took a picture of three of us) and the table was comfortable with one side being a bench against a brick wall and TVs showing the world series but a really expensive mistake to make worst of all it was my one night of dinner seeing my daughter at college and not the way that I wanted her to remember our time together.

Plenty of seating with warm wooden furniture. Soft classical jazz music in the background. On a Saturday night, only a couple other tables were taken. We were seated immediately and provided the waters we requested. The menu is extensive but the server knew exactly when we'd finished deciding and came to take our order. The miso soup and salad arrived under 5 mins after ordering. The salad had a fresh orange dressing that provided a refreshing citrus flavor and no mayo so it felt quite light and flavorful. Once we finished the soup and salad, the sushi arrived quickly. The nigiri salmon was excellent - melt in your mouth quality. The nigiri tuna was definitely the best I've had. And I loved the maki. The negi hamachi had far larger pieces of fish than I've seen anywhere else. And the sushi rice had some sesame seeds in it, giving it a slight bit of satisfying crunch. We should have stopped there but everything was so delicious and fresh that we ordered the mango crunch maki for dessert. The mayo was fresh and ripe, offering a succulent contrast to the sweet soy drizzled on top. But it was a little too sweet for my husband. The crunch came from what we think might be puffed corn. I didn't like the crunch and felt it detracted from the mango. Others would probably love it but I'll stick with the fish! Can't wait to return!

The good: I chose the herbal chicken and the spicy pickled mustard green soups bases, both soups are great and flavorful, the sauce bar has a great selection to make your own sauce, and the tiger sauce is incredible, (don't miss out on that one), the place is clean and fancy, service was incredible, waitress was checking on us constantly to make sure we are covered.
