Bento box salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki

Beef teriyaki was dry and salmon teriyaki could be better. It is ok to eat once ) over all i wouldnt say 5 star sushi place.

We came in for a late dinner and got seated quickly. Servers were attentive and fast. I ordered the salmon (sake) don and my friend got the Maki Pick 2 B. The salmon was fresh and yummy, and I liked the furikake they put over the rice. With a little soy sauce, the whole thing was delicious. I do wish there was a little bit more rice, and maybe one or two more slices of salmon but I was still quite full at the end of my meal.

Classic old school kind of place for sushi with a bit of modernness but not too much of course. It's the best place for sushi in Morton Grove. Sushi Kaya is authentic but it's not stifling creativity at the same time. Get lots of the classic rolls along with a few new kinds. The prices are pretty good for the lunch specials. A lot to like about the sushi including that you get a lot for cheap. It has quite a few specials to choose from. There's sushi along with noodles and other items. It's $16 for the Maki Combo. This is a meal with miso soup and the choice of 2 maki rolls. Good value for a lot of food. We got it with the Avocado and the Sweet Potato Maki. Lots of food. The avocado was creamy, and the sweet potatoes were cooked enough to be soft and firm at the same time. Hard to stand out from all the sushi places around here. It manages to yet do so even though it's an unassuming place. The miso soup and quite a few of the rolls are okay for vegetarians.

This place is so cute. It was calm when my party came for dinner. The waitress was very sweet and the men that were visible making sushi were so nice, too. The food came out pretty quick and it was delicious. The waitress even ran out to give us our one to-go roll that I forgot on the table (lol). Honestly, I want to come back and order enough sushi it get it on the wooden boats. Some day ~

My friend suggested Sushi Kaya in Morton Grove and I was happy to go there, as I drive Dempster quite often and was not familiar with it. There is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant (this is in Dempster). There was just one other party dining when we arrived. We were a little surprised that there was not a lunch menu. Prices seemed high for lunch, and we both settled on the sushi roll combo (2) with miso soup. I picked the ebi q and rock 'n' roll. The roll was perfectly fine, the portion seemed a little meagre (see my picture my lunch was $18). We both finished our meals and (unbeknownst to my friend) I stopped at a bubble tea shop afterwards because I was still hungry. I might return for dinner to try some of the other dishes. They had some selections of donburi which is one of my favorites.

Reasonably-priced wide selection of Japanese dishes close to Evanston. The nabe udon I ordered was delicious -- really flavorful, umami broth and thick noodles. I also enjoyed the shrimp tempura mango maki roll I ordered! My friends and I each ordered pretty substantial dishes and ended up paying ~$25-28 per person. This is a great place to go with friends if you all want to eat different things: they had rice bowls, maki rolls/nigiri/sashimi, bento boxes, noodles, and a variety of appetizers as well. Ive been coming here since I was a kid and they have always been the loveliest people, hands down my favorite sushi place I've ever been to. I've been to dozens of restaurants and nothing will ever come close to the sushi here. The food is so fresh and the quality is unbeatable, its the perfect place for a date night any day of the week. Don't miss out!!

How do more people NOT know about Sushi Kaya? I guess it's a good thing so I can still order carryout out from them and they tell me my order would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. My wife and I have tried almost every appetizer from the menu. If you're thinking about appetizers, go with the deep fried dumplings. So good! We usually order that and the Kaya crunchy roll. We love the cream cheese nestled into the making roll. It is topped with rice Krispies. Can't wait til to go back!

This was the yellow shrimp roll? I think that is what it was called. Mouth watering

Food, service, ambiance. This place has it all! Whether you're going to dinner with friends or solo. The quality and presentation are divine. Each item is fresh and delicious. Top five favorite restaurant and I have only been there twice! Check this place out I promise you will enjoy it!

One our favorite mom and spot spots where you feel like family when you come in. Great sushi for a very reasonable price.

There is easy street parking available, but I was walking so did not need any parking. The restaurant space has plenty of tables and was clean. There were a few tables sat when I walked in. There are no signs to wait for host/seat yourself, so I stood at the front for a few minutes before who I think is the owner actually ended up coming up and helping. He was running around, very busy, helping prepare and serve the food to the tables that had already ordered. I asked if I could just place an order to go and just ordered a Pad Thai for carry out. The food came out honestly very quickly for just one person in the kitchen plus the owner, and with other tables already with tickets in, but I would not necessarily say this is a super fast in and out experience if you're in a rush. The take out container was packaged in a thick brown bag (no breaking through the bottom of the bag on the walk home here!) and the owner cashed me out himself. He was very kind but did not really engage in any of the small talk I attempted while waiting for the screens to load and payment to process. The Pad Thai was packed super neatly and cleanly in a plastic take out box. The serving size was deceptively large, and they pack in a heavy serving of noodles and bean sprouts and your protein of choice (chicken for me!) into this little box. I was shocked at how fresh everything tasted! This was a perfect Pad Thai and I will absolutely order this a million times over living right down the block. There were plenty of fresh bean sprouts, the noodles were cooked perfect, it wasn't dry or drowning in sauce, a little lime wedge on the side and I was a happy camper. I can't wait to come back and try more menu items, their amazing lunch specials, and support a local business. Thank you, Mai Thai and Sushi!

They made it from scratch not the can Thai ice tea you usually get from other restaurants. It had the right amount of sweetness. Then I ordered pineapple fried rice . The fried rice was very flavorful. For the entry I ordered Tom Yum's seafood noodle soup. It had mussels, Fish, shrimp, squid, and fish balls. The tom yum had the perfect spicy and sweetness to it . The one thing I wasn't a fan of was all the peanuts they put in it. The service was great and the food was delicious. The restaurant was spacious and they had a large tv in the bar area . They only offer street parking and it was free for 2 hours . Definitely will be back !

Now along with bookmarking those locations, I have even joined the Noodles Rewards program which has certainly been a pleasure being part of. Since being part of the program, I anticipate checking emails received because not only does it give me the chance to visit Noodles & Company, but also the chance to save on whatever is offered, which is an opportunity I do not have with other restaurants I enjoy. After having this location on my radar for some time, I finally visited after a long day of working at my secondary job in the area. Looking through the menu, I would have loved to have ordered the Pasta Fresca with IMPOSSIBLE Chicken, but I did not see it featured on the Uber Eats menu. So, I ended up ordering the Pad Thai with Sautéed Shrimp as my protein instead which had my interest as an alternative. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived onsite my order was waiting behind the counter during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, order, and I was well on my way like a villain dressed in a black-and-white hooped shirt and pants, a red cape, a wide-brimmed hat, and black gloves. That is the Hamburglar, a McDonald's character for you youngsters out there reading this review, tehehe. Grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again at the location is very high. Nicely presented inside of sustainable packaging, I wasted no time eating the Pad Thai after taking pictures to share on yelp. It was fresh tasting with even a satisfying portion given. So delicious was my first forkful of the rice noodle stir-fry which resulted in me dancing as I ate each bite while inside of my kitchen, leaving not even a crumb behind once I finished. Along with the rice noodle stir-fry, the Pad Thai came with scrambled egg, napa, red cabbage, citrus, peanuts, and topped with scallions; I opted out of the cilantro being that I am not fond of anything spicy. I highly recommend the Pad Thai, if you have stumbled on my review and are open to trying anything featured on the menu. Along with the location downtown Chicago, I would gladly consider visiting and ordering from this location in Niles again. I was bummed that the location nearest to my primary job in River Forest closed, which just leaves me left with visiting either the location within downtown Chicago, or this one in Niles. Atmosphere: 4 | Service: 5 | Food: 4 Recommendations: Buttered Noodles, Pad, Thai, Penne Rose, Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, Pasta Fresca, Pesto Cavatappi, Spaghetti with Marinara, LEANguini Rosa or LEANguini Fresca.
