Cute lil spot, with friendly and helpful staff at the counter. You have to place the order at the counter and your given a number stand which you place on your table. I'm guessing everything is prepped and ready to heat up on the skillet because our food was done literally in about 10 min. I'm not a big soup person but I've had some fresh, tasty noodle soups in the past and down to try other places. I honestly prefer to wait for fresh food. This to me was like a quick to go spot or compared to a Chinese food spot, just ok. My kids soup was salty, the wontons were super crispy and the edamame wonton was ok but preferred if I had to choose from the 3. My husband did enjoy his spicy shrimp ramen soup .

This was such a good stop. We were going to mellow mushroom and saw this place on the way and decided to go here instead to try it out and I have no regrets! The food was so yummy and reasonably priced. The woman who works up front was super nice and helpful, she made the experience even better. I know it looks unassuming from the outside but it's such a good place, if I came this way regularly, I would be coming here regularly. Also LOVED the kimchi and the rangoons yay.

This place smells like rotten fish. Rude staff. Filthy floors. Gross. The health department obviously hasn't been by here in a long while.

This place has a home feeling from the moment you walk in the door. The day after Hurricane Helene cleared, it was a mission to find open establishments due to the power outages and damage. Thankfully Umami was open and so glad too be cause the food was delicious. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with shrimp. Warning! Bib yourself if you have on a light colored shirt/outfit. I slurped all over the place and learned the hard way, haha. It was so worth it though. Also, just must say, one of the staff who appeared to be the owner walked around the restaurant greeting everyone and she was super nice! Will definitely find my way back here when I visit Savannah.

Umami Noodle Bar is a great local restaurant that serves DELICIOUS PHO! I am pretty picky with pho, and I absolutely LOVED the broth. The broth was well flavored and not salty at all! It was perfect. The portion was pretty small and I wish it was more, but I think it was fair since the pho is only $12. The inside is really cute! Very well decorated and unique. The chalk wall is cool! Also, they operate as like an order before sitting as well as sit and then order! Both work! Cute spot and will return!

Eh. I ordered the veggie ramen with tofu. The portion size was small. Customer service was just okay. The crab Rangoon was not good. It had a weird plastic taste to it. It's a bit tight and cramped inside. I have had much better ramen elsewhere. If go vac I would try something else because this wasn't that great.

I came here alone once and had a good experience. My husband and I just moved to the area, so I've been asking him to try this place in hopes that it would become a go-to spot for us. Tonight we ordered the drunken noodle dish with chicken, which the menu said came with cabbage, carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, and scallions. When we opened our takeout boxes, we saw that there were a couple scallions, a couple pieces of onion, and no other vegetables. I ended up cutting and stir frying vegetables we had at home, which isn't what you want to do when you order takeout. The dishes were also bland. It's hard to tell from the picture, but this is also less food than you'd normally get from similar places. I can never finish takeout meals in one sitting, and I ate my entire dish with no problem. This meal simply wasn't worth $30. This was a bad first impression for my husband, and I don't blame him for not wanting to go back.

Firstly, calling and putting my order in was so wonderful. The lady on the phone was so kind and informative. When I sat down with my takeout the Smell of my Pho was Such a delight! I was So excited. It was a Delicious pho, hot, ready, and they even had Sriracha in the bag (wonderful!). Now, the crab wontons were Not my favorite. A bit too much breading and not enough of the good stuff. Yet, I won't take an Entire point away from this review since I Still ate them and the Pho made up for the little disappointment I felt over the crab wantons. I Mean! Delicious Pho. I had a a craving and to get that checked off my list during my travel made me a happy gal. Perfect for a cold night. Highly recommend

The food was great and came out relatively fast and the employees were pretty nice which gives the place a cozy atmosphere

Fresh healthy food, with large portions. The boba drink was a bit too sugary for my taste but the flavor was good. The pho broth was flavorful a bit salty but still good. Everything was made fresh and to order. I liked the spicy bakchoy they used in the pho. Great customer service.

Great food, great customer service. Had the pho last time with brisket and the meat was tough so I'll stick to chicken and shrimp and maybe pork. Great noodle bar, especially for the Pooler area.

The food was very hot, fast, fresh and tasty. I love the crunch of the crab wontons. The flavors of the pad thai is delicious.

We walked halfway in and nothing and my husband had to walk directly to a waitress to ask if we seat ourselves. She pointed at the table and grabbed who would be our server. I guess we interrupted her conversation. Our server on the other hand was sweet, however, I had a hard time hearing what she was saying because her voice was so low. We did not have any qualms about our server. She was good. A lot of servers were openly on their phones, specifically the sushi chefs behind the counter. They would stare off into the distance or be on their phones until summoned to make a nigiri. It wasn't necessarily slow, there were quite a few patrons there. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. AMBIANCE 2/5: the set up and decorations felt all over the place, nothing was a cohesive design. It's as if they just went to Ross and found anything Asian inspired (not specifically Japanese) and purchased it. FOOD 3/5: it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the scallop nigiri but it was $6.50 for 2 pc. Presentation of nigiri was wild too, they put 2 nigiri on a 12 in platter lol it's as if they ran out of small plates? The grilled squid was what got our attention to come here and it was ok. It was grilled fine, just the way i like it. I did like that hint of ume or shiso they sprinkled in there but the dish also came at the end, after I've already eaten my entre. It was Iisted as a hot appetizer but came after the entre, so I ate it without any rice. The lava roll was very good and there was an abundance of imitation crab meat on top. The "angry dragon" roll was interesting because they used pink tofu skin, which i thought was unique. Flavorwise, not as spicy as the name insinuates. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming. For about $40 per person, I expected more than mid-tier food and subpar service.

If you look at the signage, there is a deer. The exterior of the restaurant is very exciting with their displays of bubbles and the fake fish to make it look like a fish tank which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. When you go inside, you are immediately greeted, they also have very Japanese style gocha gocha machines in the back behind the counter. I'm not sure if they're functional or not, but it definitely added to the esthetic. They also had Crane machines to give it a Japanese game center vibe, but it was still rather cohesive. The decorations were great and the ambiance is great. There were kokeshi dolls, Japanese dolls, swords but all tastefully displayed. The setting was very exciting and very clean. Everyone wore uniforms, whether it be a embroidered yukata top or an apron. They looked very cute and very reminiscent of what you would come across in Japan. Service was excellent from beginning to end The food was delicious. Albeit, the selection is not as vast, but the quality was good. I've already accepted the fact that a lot of Japanese restaurants here are owned and operated by Chinese or Taiwanese people and they will have random non-Japanese food on the menu not traditionally served at a sushi restaurant, but you can see that this place definitely respected the culture and added a hint of theirs without straying far away from Japanese cuisine. We also had a very delicious sake that had grits of rice in it, and it was very interesting, very good, but also very strong. My husband and I had to share a bottle. I absolutely loved the kinako mochi with condensed milk. I never thought to put condensed milk on kinako so I would go for that again! My only negative about this place is the bathroom. Incredibly small and not as neat compared to the rest of the restaurant. I feel like the bill for 2 was quite fair considering the experience that we had and the food and service that we received. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come again.
