We order a bunch of food for take out in anticipation of the winter storm that was going to impact our area. Our total was about $100, and we had food for days, so the portions are good (we could have ordered smalls and been fine). I'll start by saying this place truly is the egg rolls king- these are the best egg rolls I've had since moving down south and this is the closest Chinese takeout food to what I would have in Boston, delicious! They have small, large, and combo sizes for a lot of the options, and everything is customizable. They give plenty of sweet and sour and yum yum sauce, and tong of duck and soy sauce packets. We ordered lo mein, which was great, boneless spare ribs (not my fav/ but I appreciate a smaller sized spare ribs), Mongolian beef (a little too saucy, but yummy), a bunch of fried options inlcided in the pu pu platter (egg rolls, crab Rangoons, chicken wings, breaded chicken, and chicken on a stick) which were all good. The Singapore mei fun was really good! We never tried this before and we'll order again. It had some curry flavor to it, so I'd mostly get that on its own in stead of mixing and matching flavors. And you can't go wrong with general tso. Everything was reasonably priced. Definitely a top spot in the Savannah area! read more

Getting takeout in a city you're not familiar with is always a gamble and this one paid off! Walked out with dinner for two and the bag felt like a 10lb weight was inside and it more than satisfied the itch for takeout. Got the General Tsos with white rice and orange chicken with chow mein. Both were spicy, rice was PERFECT and the noodles had a nice coating of sauce that had a soy forward taste. We recently placed an order for our traditional Christmas Eve Chinese feast while in town for vacation: 7 dishes, egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, and dumplings. Ready on time, good portions, all items accounted for, nice flavors. A couple notes: we found the chicken with veggies, moo goo, and Mongolian beef dishes a tad light in the actual meats (majority onions in the 2 latter). All our apps and the soup were extra tasty, all dishes fairly mild yet full of flavor with the exception of Mongolian beef which was quite spicy. While waiting, looks like most of the business is take out which makes sense because they have no indoor eat in options. am deeply disappointed by the level of customer service I experienced at Egg Roll King. During my recent visit, the young man handling my order spoke to me in a manner that I found highly disrespectful and unprofessional. Never in my experience have I been addressed as though I was mentally challenged or as if English was not my first language. His tone and approach were condescending, dismissive, and entirely inappropriate for someone working in customer service. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and basic courtesy, regardless of the situation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this establishment. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected rather than valued as a paying customer. I am sharing this review not to be malicious, but because businesses should be aware when their staff's behavior negatively impacts customers. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue and takes steps to improve customer service standards moving forward, as no customer should leave feeling belittled or spoken down to. Holy moly, Egg Roll King is a Chinese sleeper agent of some sort. You roll up to this really sketchy looking, poorly maintained restaurant front, possibly assuming someone lives in the commercial space directly to the left of it. You dare to risk your life by going inside to also be underwhelmed and concerned. But then you get through all of that, you open your plastic container of a food and take your first bite and all doubts are removed....Egg Roll King is king of Chinese food in Savannah. I got the General Tso's lunch special and it was enough food for lunch and dinner and boy was it fantastic. The chicken seemed to be of high quality and was cooked nice and crispy with just the perfect amount of sauce. Broccoli was not overcooked and had a small crunch to it as well. I opted for white rice but I'll try the fried rice next time. Ironically I got a shrimp egg roll and it was my least favorite part of the meal lol. Generally good Chinese food. Really large portions for the price is where their leaning is, not of the highest quality, but to be expected for the place. My family doesn't like onions, I believe the crab Rangoons have onions in them, but not positive. The fried rice has onions, so make sure to ask for them to hold onions. This place is really bad. I've eaten it twice and been thoroughly disappointed. I got the Chicken Chow Mein, which is basically chicken noodle soup (in the picture). When you think of take-out Chinese food, this is the place. Good priced, large portions and pretty good food. We ordered for pick up and got a good variety to try. Not super crunchy a little more on the softer side, which we like better! The second was steamed dumplings. You got 10, which is a large amount for any app at a restaurant. For the main courses, we picked out house special lo mein and General Tso's chicken. The lo mein had a good amount of meat, but an insane amount of noodles. We like noods :P The general tso's chicken came with fried rice and a couple of pieces of broccoli. It was a little chewy but overall not bad. Parking was easy. This is probably the best American Chinese food I've had in Georgia. The portions were generous, one order is enough for 2+ meals (for a single person). The combo came in a clamshell container which did cause it to leak a little, but honestly, worth it. I loved the fried rice, tons of flavor, not too wet, good additions in the rice. I got the chicken with garlic sauce. It came with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and carrots. I loved the sauce, it was thick and flavorful. I was a big fan of this food even though it's not gourmet by any means. It's greasy spoon/counter Chinese food good, which is to say I liked it a lot. The general tso lacked significant flavor and had no spice to it. The sweet and sour tasted like crispy pieces of over deep fried breading. The Mongolian chicken flavor was good but had very little chicken in it. It was basically Mongolian onion. The rice was just plain flavorless.
