Highly talented staff and a majority of town sponsored school Gymnastics come here to use their facilities. Decent sized waiting room with vending machines, viewing window and two bathrooms. This is a great 'hosting school' with small invitationals. Internet is public too! They also have Cable Tv/DVD for younger 'uninterested' kids. Actual equipment was ok, a bit willy-nilly jumbled up and crowded together though, and the general vibe perhaps as a result of the architecture was somewhat cold and impersonal despite the small-town locale. I was relieved to see that they did have at least two Keiser stationary bikes, which are increasingly rare these days as most gyms get suckered into the big lumbering fancy LOOKING bikes with the flashy screens and video-game simulations, that have lousy ergonomics making you feel like you're pedaling a toy not a real bike. They do have some Concept rowers at least, which is a good sign. Overall I'd say it's a fairly decent Y except for the sauna, which was sorely disappointing in that despite being brand new looking and quite pleasant/spacious, was being run at some geriatric 150-160 degrees tops. Oh and they close way the hell too early on weekends: 5pm on Saturday, 4pm on Sunday. Only slightly less lousy than my home Y in Cambridge (4pm both days). Argh!

Where do I even begin? This place has changed my life for the better in so many ways -- physically,…read moreemotionally and mentally. The workouts are incredible. The members and instructors are fantastic. Management has excellent communication. When I first started taking classes here two years ago, I won't lie -- I was nervous. I was used to what I knew, dance-related workouts like Zumba and barre, so the idea of weights, rowing machines, TRX bands and battle ropes intimated me. How quickly my mind was changed by Michelle and her AMAZING team. Every class I've taken with a new (to me) instructor, he or she has made it a point to introduce themselves to me and check in to offer help, instruction, and/or modification. The FitRev team is incredibly welcoming, encouraging and motivating. The workouts are so effective and always different so you don't plateau. I am so much happier, healthier and stronger and love the variety of class offerings, including spin, boxing, barre, rowing, Bootcamp and more. I will also add that Michelle and her team have adapted beautifully to the challenges posed the the pandemic. I feel incredibly safe and cared for every time I step foot into the facility. The instructors are always incredible and motivating. Fit Rev has done an amazing job adapting with the pandemic, offering tons of live virtual classes and outdoor boot camps when the weather permitted. As for the gym itself, it's one floor and the business' sign is tucked away. How I found it was to go across a small bridge and through a tunnel, then on your right you should see the sign near a dumpster. Presumably, you can park anywhere in that lot even though it's shared with lofts. If you also see a boxing gym sign, it's the same building, just the opposite entrance. Even though inside, they also have boxing equipment.

The gym has every piece of top quality equipment you could possibly need for strength training and everything is in great condition. The gym is well laid out and there are never more than 5-10 people in the gym at once (many times I'm there alone). And you can't beat the 24/7/365 time open. The owner Paul is extremely friendly and even works out at the gym himself. He provides personal training at the gym and is extremely well informed when it comes to fitness.
