Party of 5 for lunch today, sat immediately. Service was great. We all ordered something different so we could share. We had several rolls, noodles, rice, salmon bento box. Son ordered monk fish liver. He loved it, not my cut of fish, haha. We all walked away with full bellies and lots of leftovers. Highly recommend.

We finally made it to Umi North. The Umi in Kendal Yards has been a favorite of ours for sushi. Meeting a friend for lunch yesterday and even tho she had to cancel we decided to go ahead and get a table. The usual menu of delicious choices was offered along with a short selection of lunch specials. I had the Spokane Roll as my hubby had the Kung Pao Chicken lunch. Mine was perfect as always, the lunch came with 2 sides. He chose the Egg drop Soup and white rice. I'm not sure how they make the soup but it was one of the best I've tasted. The Kung Pao, very large portion IMP was fresh, perfectly cooked and definitely shareable. They were pretty busy for a Monday, plenty of seating inside for a small space. They also have an outdoor area. Located in a strip mall on the corner of North Division and Hawthorne, you will find friendly service and good food!

My favorite sushi date and I are enjoying our favorite chef's choice sashimi and a pumpkin roll.

We've been to the Umi downtown and truly only went there because I read the negative reviews about service at this location. I've gotta say we have zero complaints about this location. The service was great! I wish I remembered our servers name. He was so friendly and on the spot with our food and checking to see if things were good. He even made us the yuzu margarita, which isn't on this locations menu. Our food- so delicious. We ordered the goyza, spicy tuna roll, Spokane roll & chow mein w chicken. Quality exactly as expected, everything was great. Next time we won't hesitate to save ourselves a drive and come to this location. Still very kid/ family friendly. Highly recommend!

If you are in the mood for sushi or Asian cuisine and don't have a lot of time this is your place to! Our order was in front of us quicker than any fast food I have ever had! But this did not lack quality! Excellent meals! Sushi was fresh and the General Chicken omg!!! The portion!!! Will be back! The customer service was top notch. Casual and quaint. Great parking.

My friend I met here for dinner on 5/1/24 and had a great experience. The restaurant was clean and our server was attentive. For sushi, the fish was very fresh tasting and the rolls were delicious. My friend also ordered the Umi Fish and chips, which is panko breaded sea bass and to-go, she got her husband an order of their Tangerine Beef. I was told the Tangerine beef was very flavorful and crispy. I look forward to trying this place again.

Food was great and I was so full after just one deep fried California roll. My husband ordered the General Taos Chicken and he couldn't even finish the whole thing.

Ambiance: The atmosphere is nice. It's clean, enough space between the tables that you don't feel crowded, and just about what you'd expect from a sushi bar in Spokane. Food: overall, the food was good. Maybe our second favorite in Spokane after Sushi house (Fairwood or Trent location). Edamame - delicious. The sauce was great and the edamame was cooked wonderfully. Fried California Roll - this was our favorite. It was crispy and fresh all at the same time. California roll - this was our second favorite. It tasted really fresh and delicious. Tiger - Third favorite. This was delicious, but not spectacular. Not that we didn't like it, it was prepared well, it just wasn't so good that it really stood out. Rod roll - this was not my favorite. It almost tasted like it has pepperoni or a chunk of pepper in the middle. Definitely not my favorite. My husband liked it, but I wasn't a fan. Service: We were sat quickly and it seemed the service was good off the bat, but after we got our appetizers it was downhill a little. When we ordered we had asked for low sodium Soy sauce. The sushi came and I had to ask again. The waitress (third one we had had) literally brought back a tiny saucer full of low sodium soy sauce instead of a container that I could pour myself. So... it was only enough for me, not both of us. It was weird lol. Then three waitresses later we got our table cleared, one and a half later we got our check, and then back to our original waitress she took our payment and we were out. Point being - we had like 5 waitresses and no one really owned us. They were all very kind and it wasn't terrible, but it made it difficult to get what we needed in a timely manner. Overall, we will probably go back. The food was good and the people were kind. We will give them another shot.

It's a tight space so it was definitely loud in there, but you can appreciate that the families are all enjoying their dinner. I thought to myself that the fact that it's this busy means they are doing a great job and the food makes them come back again. Our food was delicious and the fish were fresh. We were all satisfied with our meal. To add to that, I think the price for the items were very fair for its quality. I would love to come back again and try more from their menu!!

My two friends I…read morewas with each got rolls and loved the portions and flavor-- we've gone to several sushi places in Spokane and this is our favorite for the deliciousness of everything we tried. So, as far as the basics of quality ingredients and crafted sushi/sashimi, Sushi Blossom is tops. The reason for only four stars is the service. It was busy (we were there at 6 pm on a Tuesday, so also a great nod to how good it is here that the place was bustling on a weeknight). But our service was really pretty poor. I have no desire to put a young lady working as a server on blast, so I'll just say we waited an extra-long time, and felt as a table like we were irritating or inconveniencing our server, though we ordered right away, had no adjustments to what we ordered, and just sat waiting a long time patiently. We didn't complain, and thanked our server when she brought our food. But if I'd been with someone who didn't already love Sushi Blossom and was my guest, this would have felt pretty embarrassing, like we were doing something wrong by being customers. However, that was just one young lady on one night out of LOTS of dining experiences at Sushi Blossom, most of which have been excellent. So we'll happily be back, and put this one experience behind us. The food, once again, is so, so good. If you're looking for great sushi in Spokane, this is a fantastic place to try!

We came in and put our name down, got a table after about 40 minute wait. We were seated at the sushi bar which we didn't mind, got to see the sushi being made! I ordered a drink, the coconut mojito. It was so delicious. Perfectly sweet, tart, tropical, I can come here just for the drinks because they are perfect every single time. We knew what sushi rolls we wanted to we got our personal favorite, the Las Vegas roll. Then got the Godzilla roll and the Fresh roll. All were so so good, my favorite is still the Las Vegas roll but the fresh roll was delicious with the fresh lemon on top! I will return again and again for the sushi and drinks, it's top tier! I will say the service was lacking. I understand it was very busy but we didn't get checked up on once and we ran out of water at the beginning of the meal and never got a refill on water. I also wanted to try a drink from the specials menu but opted not to because our waitress never came around so I can order anything else. Maybe next time. Food was outstanding but on a busy day, the service was very disappointing.

I thought it funny that the name of the shop sounded like it was either calling attention to or poking fun at the southeast Asian pronunciation of the word noodle, but the pictures were undeniable! So in just minutes from the Davenport Hotel, we walk thru the doors. I was very impressed with the modern art aesthetic that adorn the surrounding walls of the dining area. Pop art is a very common look at more modern ramen places so I was feeling very comfortable and confident that we'd come to the right place. The staff was friendly and amazing from the get go and all throughout! Starving, we sat down and our eyes tore through the menu with excitement. Most satisfyingly was the fact that we'd come at happy hour and ramen bowls were $10 each! Now as a ramen goer, I will always go to TanTan if it's on the menu and it was! My mind was made. My other two friends ordered the Spicy beef in a shoyu broth and a spicy Tonkotsu (both looked amazing)! We also ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu: Salt and Pepper Tofu and the Spicy Pork Wontons! Both of those were HIGHLY RECOMMENDs, but if you're sharing the Tofu goes much farther with the wontons only having 3 pieces but AMAZING flavor (PRO TIP: you can also use the left over sauce to experiment with other tastes later in your meal). Once the appetizers hit the table it was gone! Hence the no pictures, for which I greatly apologize. I've failed you again, my Yelp family. But please know it was because I'm a fat ass and couldn't hold back my hunger. But finally, the main courses came out. My mind clear from the nourishments of the appetizers, I was able to snap a picture of. Maybe not as much of a, "my mind was clear" as it was a, "Carrots and corn in my ramen? YUCK!" Now I get the corn. In Hokkaido style they like to put sweet corn on the surface and slap some butter on it, and THAT I always have time for. But corn?? In my opinion, there's no place for carrots in ramen because the sweetness will always off balance the taste. Especially in a pork bone broth, but definitely not invited to my TanTan party, but I digress. Being the huge lover that I am of food and adventure, I thought I'd give it a try. But from the first bite, I realized that I was right about the flavor, forgot about the texture and was surprised to find Chicken in my ramen. No ohana... ramen is one of my favorite things EVER! Growing up in my life we'd eat dry bags of Maruchan/Top Ramen with the seasoning in it for fun, as kids. You know which one flavor I NEVER ate? CHICKEN! It just never hit to me. And here, betraying me in my coveted TanTan was chicken! Besides all of these things, my ramen was slightly hotter than warm. I grew up eating traditional style ramen, where you had to want it! Meaning the broth would undoubtedly burn your lips but you HAD TO WANT IT fresh or you'd miss out on what good ramen was. So disappointedly, I rested my chopsticks across the brim of the bowl in defeat and pulled the menu back. Meanwhile, from across the table I hear the satisfying sounds of slurps and bowls being picked up and set down on the table. So I ask how their food was. Both were very happy and both did look good, but I needed something that wouldn't miss this time. So with that in mind, I asked for the Spicy ramen! But this time I made a few adjustments. Audibles if you will (heck, it's football season). I asked for no carrots and no corn (of which she whiffed on the no corn, but thankfully there were no carrots) and almost MOST importantly: I asked for the noodles to be half cooked! My waitress, who: LET ME JUST STOP HERE AND GIVE HER THE FLOWERS SHE DESERVES! I feel bad that I don't remember her name or who don't have a picture with her but I was there during happy hour on the 7th of September (Monday) and she looked like she could have been the daughter part of a mother/daughter duo that was working the dining area! I appreciate you! NOW BACK TO THE FOOD! So my order again: Spicy Beef Ramen, no corn or carrots with the noodles half cooked! And the next bowl that was set in front of me redeemed the entire food experience. My ramen was piping hot and perfect. Sizable chunks of well cooked beef, dressing the landscape of my bowl like mountains on a map. Just beautiful. I couldn't wait to dive in. And from the first bite, it was redemption! The beef was so soft! It had a rich flavor that made me check it to see if they maybe upgraded me to ox tail. They hadn't, but it was definitely an upgrade from that shredded chicken fiasco I'd just come away from. The spice level was perfect. And the temperature of the soup melted all of the natural juices and oils of all the ingredients into the broth. Exactly like it's supposed to do!
