The people there greeted us and asked if we needed any help. I informed them that we were interested in opening up a joint checking account. The staff had us wait in the seating area and Bruce was able to come out and help us a few minutes later. Bruce brought us to his office and talked about the account options available to us. We ended up opening a joint premiere checking account (along with a joint savings plus account) and we transferred my fiance's account from his old institution to Chase! A total of four new accounts! Bruce was very friendly, warm, personable and trustworthy. He took the time to really get to know us and inquire about what we wanted. It is rare to find such outstanding customer service and I'm glad that Bruce will be our personal banker number 2. Towards the end of our meeting, the vice-president Kelly came over to introduce herself to us. I thought that was a kind gesture and made a wonderful impression. My fiance was extremely impressed with the customer service at Chase. He will never go back to Citibank (only to withdraw the money into our new Chase accounts). Also they will not allow any online purchases to go through and you end up having to call customer service for pretty much everything. The people are incredibly rude and incompetent both in person and on the phone. I've had them accidentally over draw my account for a mistake on their end and then freeze my account for weeks on end while they figure it out. There was another issue where I could not pay my rent with my account without calling and explaining the situation every single month. I could probably post my card on the internet and it wouldn't even be an issue because I guarantee someone would pretty much be unable to use this card.

Employees I have come into contact with have been professional yet friendly, more than willing to help with any issue and expertly trained at his/her job. Does not get any better than that when you are dealing with financials! Especially your own:). Covid was in full swing when I began my relationship with this Branch. I felt confident with the virus precautions in place then and still grateful for the respect they continue to show to keep their employees and customers safe. Highly, highly recommend!

Golden 1 seemed like the best option. I made an appointment at the El Dorado Hills Town Center branch for this afternoon, but somehow, my clumsy self canceled the appointment. I still walked in, and asked if anyone had time to help open a checking and savings account, thinking they would say I'd have to reschedule. They were happy to help, and took the time to help me open them! Mark was awesome, and explained things thoroughly, and was quick, too!
