Been wrestling with this review since last night... 3 or 4 stars...I Placed a carryout order through DoorDash for myself. The Order was prepared and ready on-time when I arrived. There were 5-6 other orders in the host counter area when I arrived. I Waited 7-8 minutes for an employee to show up and tell me the pick up procedure. I'm used to showing the online order or an ID or something. They just seemed to think I knew what to do. Sorry this was my first visit. The food was very tasty, I tried the street tacos with steak and the avocado salad with grilled chicken. The cilantro, avocado, whatever is in that salad dressing is amazing! You need to bottle that and sell it!! The tacos were pretty amazing too! The portion sizes of the tacos and salad were perfect. I would not order the side of rice again. Way over priced for the size. It was honestly pretty sad... BUT My biggest issue...NO utensils or napkins included in the order. I will give it another chance in the future, that salad was pretty awesome. read more

Went to Una Mas for the first time after watching Wicked and my husband and I were OBSESSED with their food! We ordered their Liquid Marijuana & Sunset alcohol beverages. For an appetizer, we ordered their Fresco Guacamole Dip, comes on a bed of tortilla chips and for an extra charge, you can add cotija cheese and corn. For Lunch, we ordered their Birria Tacos and Tinga Taquitos. Both entrees were SO GOOD! Addicting and flavorful! Our server was precise, sweet and attentive! The restaurant is surrounded in beautiful murals, artwork & high ceilings. It actually looks small on the outside but inside is a different perspective ! I was surprised on how slow it was at the time we went. They deserve more business! The booths need a little upgrade but that is SO MINIMAL, it does not diminish everything else about this place! Made a reservation for my son's (10) birthday party. They didn't have our reservation and acted annoyed we were there with a large party and then proceeded to squish us into a booth. Yes, it was the right location... I looked back at the call log. Right off the bat the waitress wouldn't sell us a cheese dip, and said she would need to talk to her manager? She wouldn't walk around the table to take our orders, we had to yell to her from the other side. She charged us incorrectly for items we didn't receive. She was so rude and we didn't even receive the cheese dip until most of the entrees were finished. My son only wanted to go out to eat for the sombrero experience and because he loves cheese dip. It's not really my vibe to say this but: Please don't support this restaurant, there's other Mexican restaurants in Asheboro that care more about their guests and are appreciative of the opportunity to have large parties. We've already decided to do a redo birthday party at our usual spot. We are a great table and very friendly with 20+ years in the service industry, would have been an easy 20%+ tip for an easy crowd. Went to try this new place, as I heard it was great. First of all, I am not Hispanic (but my husband is). When the server came to get our order, I was completely dismissed. I've experienced this several times, and it always find it to be so rude. The or food is okay...but not great. The spicy shrimp were overcooked, and you could barely get the shells off. Some of the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had the pleasure of eating, and drinking! I hate I didn't capture photos of the regular menu because it was outstanding and really so hard to decide on what to eat! I'm so thankful I went with my family this Monday night and got to try several dishes. My dad's sesame chicken enchiladas was excellent! It's essentially mole enchiladas but so unique! My mom's quesabirria tacos were stellar and even my fajita taco salad was mind blowing magnificent! My sister ordered the seafood poblano and I so wish I had gotten a picture of that. It was so visually stunning and colorful! The beverages really shined here too! I had the "medium" Tamarita and it blew me away! The medium is certainly larger than I was expecting. The service here was just perfection. Our waiter was attentive in just the right way and took care of our table of 6 (including 2 toddlers) with no problems at all. First time ever at this place and it was amazing. I love Mexican food and this is as authentic as it gets. The quesobirria was really flavorful and plentiful. They have some pretty good drink options if you like that. It's very kid friendly if yours are as picky as mine. Service was great and the food came pretty fast. Una Mas... What can I say? The quality and variety of dishes never disappoints. I've never had anything to eat here that didn't meet or exceed my expectations. The service on the other hand has occasionally let them down. I think they just have trouble obtaining/ keeping experienced wait staff. We were very excited to learn Una Mas had opened since our last trip to Asheboro. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately had a pretty bad experience and will likely not be returning. The short of the story is that my order came out wrong. When I tried to explain to the server, he didn't seem to understand given a language barrier. When I asked the server for the manager, the server sent a hostess. The hostess retrieved the manager who was unnecessarily rude to me about the situation not once but twice, very unprofessional. They ended up comping the meal despite my offering repeatedly to pay for what I was served as my meal and my partner's meal (which he gave a 3/5). Next time we will just save ourselves the headache and go to Simply Asian a few doors down. read more

This place is great, a little pricey. Great scenery, and the general comfort of this establishment is top tier. Juan is a fantastic server. He made my family feel welcomed, and made our stay a comfortable one. Incredibly fast, but not to discredit the taste. We would not recommend the barrio tacos. This is a must go to for Mexican food. This place always has exceptional service and the best Mexican food in Asheboro hands-down. I always order me a stake burrito Suso. Which in the photos attached is the one with the green sauce on top. The other photo is Sope . My wife ordered It and says it is good. This is probably our fifth time here in the food has always been great. everyone I have told to get the steak burrito Suso has told me that it is delicious. Best Mexican restaraunt in Asheboro and maybe in the entire Triad Area! They offer many unique menu items and the staff is terrific.

Their ¡Una Pescadito is so unusual and delicious! It was so much better than I expected. A super unique and savory flavor!

The food tasted great but the portions where not right my meal came with 3 soft shelol and very little sour cream and lettuce after 2 soft shells I had lots of chicken and shrimp left over but no lettuce or sour cream then after my 3rd shell I was out of soft shells so I asked for 3 more so I could finish what was left on my plate they charged me for the 3 more shells. I just think my portions should have been large enough to eat my meal the same with every soft shell . I think they should redo the portions differently and not charge extra for something that is needed to finish your meal read more
