Open, bright, clean, spacious, plenty of charging ports, TVs that update you on the status of your loved one. Multiple bathrooms. No complaints about the waiting area. The staff were all amazing. From Diana who did my registration paperwork to the nurses (Jennifer, TRICIA, and Wanda), to the nurse anesthetist (Maria) to the anesthetist (Dr. Lay) - everyone made me feel SO COMFORTABLE. I've also been the breast center and the women's center this year. I was in and out of both appointments really quickly. I truly can't say enough about the outpatient surgery process, though. It was extremely comfortable and pleasant and everyone was sickeningly nice.

The hospital is very clean and plenty of signs so you do not get lost. We walked past the cafeteria. Didn't eat but the layout is super cool and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tons of comfortable places to sit and wait for your loved one. I rather not be in a hospital but if I did this would be my top choice.

Personally, I received decent treatment here both in the ER and in the room I was given. Granted I was at the ER at 6:30 am and it was empty. So I suppose I lucked out in that regard. The nursing staff was courteous. The doctors I saw though were not up to my standards. The dietary advice I got upon discharge from one of them turned out to be pretty inadequate upon further review after the fact. And at least one different doctor came into my room for all of two minutes, maybe listened to my heart, asked a couple of questions, and then billed my insurance for a visit. I swear some of these doctors just make rounds here to rack up billing. I could be wrong. But it left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd come here before I went to Taylor though. That's for sure.

Dr's order included "STAT". the results were rec'd at 11:49 pm on Friday night ... issues listed need to be addressed but now we must wait until Monday. tried to make an appt with a MLH Neurologist to address the same issue last week and we got the earliest appt available..... end of February 2027! MLH could be contributing to pain killer addiction with their inability to address anything involving acute pain in a timely manner. yep, you can go to the ER but unless it is life threatening, they give you pain med (on site) and send you on your way in 4-6 hours ... with instructions to consult with PCP.

They also stated he suffered a broken rib from his fall. The fall was 21 days ago at this point. His dementia had gotten so much worse after the 8 day stay from hell, so bad that he cannot eat anymore. Long story short this hospital killed my grandfather.

I didn't get the results in a timely fashion. In the interim, I am dealing with excruciating pain. Harvard Medical states "The pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia is recognized as one of the most excruciating forms of pain known". Penn has done nothing at this point to relieve my pain. I have been waiting for 3 weeks to get orders for an MRI with and without contrast. Despite calling the doctor repeatedly, the MRI has not been scheduled. Radiology has been wonderful; radiology is working to help me get an MRI scheduled. In the interim, my PCP who is not affiliated with Penn has prescribed Gabapentin 300mg three times a day. Were it not for my PCP, I can't even imagine the level of pain I would be experiencing. I am truly disheartened by the lack of care and concern by my doctor at Penn.

Plenty of FREE parking (vs Paid hard to find parking at DCMH). Same doctors which are great to talk to and easy to make an appointment. My calls are returned in a timely manner. The staff is super friendly and all the machines look new. Waiting area is really nice and updated. Looks like they recently added an urgent care area which is a perfect add to this location. It's a bit of a hike but so worth it for the reasons I stated above. I'll definitely be back. I'm glad I switched.
