Good Pot Licka' but could tell these were left over, as they were extremely cooked down. Potato Salad too watery and not enough seasoning. Mac & Cheese VERY peppery and congealed. Cheese seemed to be Velveeta based vs Roux or Shredded. They were sold out of the Brisket so...get there early. BEST Sauce: Carolina Gold!!! Spicy Sweet follows. Service is top notch! Food was fantastic. every time I come here it's feels like home. everything there tastes amazing and was perfectly cooked. the chicken cooked with the tenderness and care a mother has for her child. The brisket is like a first love's kiss, the portions leave you full. i have never felt anything but love from the staff there. The first time I went there was magic. walking in to wonderful music and a smokey smelling room set the scene immediately and completes the restaurant like a mosaic. We are from out of town and had a disappointing lunch at Uncle D's. The meat is favorable but man was it dry. The rib tips are sideways cuts off the rib ends but the meat was too dry to separate meat from bone easily. That was the main part of the meal. Hosting foody friends for dinner on a summer Saturday evening, we wanted to be sure to impress after having eaten glorious meals at their home in the past. We ordered the "Family Meal" (for four) to take out and bring home that included grilled sausage, ribs, and pulled pork. The meal comes with two sides. Oh what a great call! The meal was smoky delicious! The pull pork was especially moist and amazing, but the whole meal was enjoyed by all. I didn't think it could taste any better until I ate the leftovers the next day. You'll love the smell of the place when you walk it, but expect to smell the lingering woody smoke on your clothes after the visit. That's ok though because that's how you can pull off having grilled it yourself! We walked in, placed our order and were told it would be ready for pick up in 30 minutes! That's crazy impressive on a walk-in notice Saturday afternoon order! The employees were friendly, positive and helpful! They display enthusiasm, passion and pride for their business! Found this place through Facebook! Everything we had was excellent!!! The ribs were my favorite, just how I like them! Tender and flavorful but not falling off the bone. The rub was great and I love that the sauce is served on the side. I'm a dry rib fan but do like a bit of sauce here and there. Almost every menu item comes with two sides. We tried them all! Coleslaw was good not to sweet and just the right texture. Potato salad was sweet but had a vinegar zip. Baked beans were good, but man those fries omg! Loved that they topped them with the ribs or rib tips. The flavor just seeped into the fries, they were super good! Will definitely be back! read more

Very helpful staff and good food. Hot link was juicy, wings were good (cooked twice, smoked first then fried), and ribs have a good rib. Aunt Rose bbq sauce had a great flavor. Going to start this review off by saying I wouldn't only say that my food experience wasn't enjoyable, but also the customer service. I went to Uncle D's Grill today with my mother for the first time pretty excited after reading all the reviews. I had high hopes that we were going to be receiving great food; especially for the price it was listed at. $50 for just 2 of us (including 15% tip), the guy was nice taking our order and all seemed well so I didn't mind adding an extra tip. We were told 10 minutes wait time, which is no biggie at all. We sat down, the restarting had a faint foul odor but nothing too bad. 20 minutes pass and still no food, but this wasn't an issue since we came as soon as they opened so hopefully everything was fresh! We got our food after around 25 minutes, and a couple things already seemed off. The potato salad was very watery, and after taking a bite it tasted like it was made with canned potatoes. They had a pretty nasty and foamy texture when biting into them, and it tasted way too sweet. The greens were alright, but they felt almost too soft and dissolved in your mouth in the not so good way. Getting to the main part of the dish, the fish, was absolutely HORRIBLE. It had a foul smell, borderline between too fishy and straight up rotten. It was a little tough, and when breaking it apart it was also dry. It didn't even take 2 bites to know this fish was rotten and not up to any restaurant quality, let alone the expensive price I paid for it. It stunk very bad, and tasted even worse. I'm writing this review nearly 2 hours after and still have the nasty sour aftertaste of the fish still left in my mouth. We brought this up to the guy who took our order, he even admitted that we got the last fish off of an old batch! Didn't offer half refund, or anything. Just admitted he was wrong and apologized. Why serve something you know isn't up to par, especially when we spent over $20 a person and gave tip. This is terrible customer service; I have gotten better at McDonalds. I will never ever return to this place, nor will I ever recommend this to anyone. Take yourself 10 minutes up the road to Mission BBQ and get some good barbecue and fish! It is mediocre at best, and we for sure didn't even get that. Absolutely shameful. read more

The food was amazing, not sure if the guy who took my order was the owner or not but super friendly. My first trip ordered the rib tips and fries, everything was seasoned perfectly! I love the fact that they don't put the sauce on the ribs so you can actually taste the meat. The meat was amazing with it without the sauce, by the way the sauce is also spot on. For the price you are provided plenty of food, the small rib tip can feed you for at least two days ( it did in my case). My family will definitely be coming to back, this is our new favorite rib joint. read more

I normally will not leave a review for any establishment. But I was so impressed with Uncle D's Grill today! I have finally found a real BBQ restaurant around here. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was the smell of hardwood smoke! I knew I was in for a treat!. I called in my order for a "301 Combo". My BBQ was hot and ready when I arrived. The Ribs, Chicken and Link were absolutely delicious and authentic. The smoke ring and bark on the ribs were some of the best I have ever enjoyed! The sides were amazing as well.
