The food came out quickly. The smothered chicken was a meat and two plate and okra and breakfast potatoes were the chosen sides. The waffle was cool and very dry. The fried chicken tenders were hot and juicy but they had absolutely no seasoning on them. I ended up eating one tender and half of the waffle before stopping. The smothered chicken didn't appear to be very "smothered". It also lacked seasoning along with the okra and home fries. The chicken tenders, okra, and home fries were all cooked well. This is a place where you pick up the menu, order at the counter, take a number, and find a table. The dining area is small but charming. We were hoping for really good food based on the reviews but it was still nice to try this place.
