We ordered the Mr. Jim's Combo Plate with 3 Meats of Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken and Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw. We also got complimentary Mini Cornbread Muffins which were a treat. The food was excellent and I loved their Alabama White Sauce. We sat at the bar and service was fantastic. A Real Treat ​We dropped in after the main dinner rush and I'm sure glad we did. The atmosphere was nice and quiet with little to no wait. It made for a real relaxing evening. ​I'll be honest, we were a bit disappointed they were out of the Baby Back Ribs, but the rest of the food was so terrific we hardly felt the miss. We stopped by here on our way to the coast on a Friday evening. We needed a place with an outside patio so our dog could sit with us. This JNN is always accommodating. The BBQ chicken is my favorite with beans and fries. I did not think the fries were their usual fresh cut, but they were ok. Evetything was good. Tea was great. They are still doing a good job. I use the drive thru a lot on my way home. Its food is normal good and hot. Sweet tea is a must along with some extra cheese muffins. Yummy! The bbq chicken is good as well with baked beans and collards. The drive thru is pretty fast and easy. They have there slow times but good food should take a few minutes. This is not fast food so I'm ok to wait a bit. Easy to get good food on the way home. You can order online too and pickup which I have done also. But I would rather just wait in line. read more

We stopped for lunch as we were passing through and thought this sounded good. And it was! Great food! Huge servings, especially for lunch. Our server, Ashley, said she was new, but she was great and had great recommendations. I had the loaded baked potato. OMG! I've never seen such a huge potato! Ordered a loaded potato wo sour cream. Received it with about 2 huge tablespoons of sour cream on it. When i sent it back to be fixed, my partner waited for my potato to be returned. It took FOREVER - by that time, his was cold. I also didn't care they splice potatoes together to make a large potato. I love chicken wings! I get them most places they're on the menu but these were smoked and so I was especially excited to try them. I was also very hungry. We had been traveling from Indiana, on our way to Florida for a quick getaway. The wings were amazing! Crispy on the outside Ana deliciously moist on the inside. We were in Prattville for four days for a golf tournament, and Jim 'N Nick's quickly became our go-to spot for meals--it did not disappoint! With limited restaurant options near the Marriott, we decided to drive around and check Yelp reviews, which led us to this gem. We ended up eating lunch and/or dinner here every day of our stay, and even recommended it to other friends in town for the tournament, who also loved it. The menu offers a fantastic variety, which was a big plus for us since my husband and I don't eat beef or pork. The smoked turkey was incredible, and we couldn't get enough of the cheddar biscuits! The fried fish sandwich and side dishes were equally delicious. I purchased a couple of the cornbread mix & made them at home and they were Amazing! What really stood out, though, was the excellent service. The Southern hospitality was so warm and genuine that we felt like we were being served by family. The servers and bartender made us feel so welcome, and though I can't recall the names of the three lovely ladies who helped us in June 2024, their kindness left a lasting impression. My husband and I were staying at the Microtel Inn & Suites when we first met Denise. She had the most wonderful attitude, the biggest smile, and went out of her way to suggest Jim 'N Nick's for dinner since we were traveling and looking for something new. We ended up going yesterday, and to our surprise, Denise happened to be working there too! She took such great care of us. Even though the restaurant was busy and it looked like she was handling a lot on her own, she was still so patient, made sure our order was right, and got everything out in a timely manner. I have visited many Jim n Nick Bar-B-Q locations while on a Carnivore Diet. When I attempted to order Brisket and Chicken by the Lbs. I was quickly told I cannot order this while enjoying the dine in experience. This is for catering and Vary out alone. I referenced, this is the only location that I have been told this. Waited 45 minutes to be seated after being told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. Then was seated and took 20 mins to get waiter to take our order. Floor manager said he was going to take care of the meal and that didn't happen. The food is Ok...but the service is down right trouble. I will not be returning. There is also a wait because my waiter did not take care of us nor did the front restaurant manager. I suggest more training and prep work to accommodate the amount of people your take in or go to reservations. The hostess told my husband and I that they didn't have enough silverware to seat people at the empty tables.
