Uncle Gino's is a great place with really great food! I have tried many places but this is definitely one to put on my list of the best in town. My sister and I were looking for a vegan place to eat and the orginal place we went to visit was closed. Luckily we saw the sign advertising a large vegan pepperoni pizza. So we decided to give it a try. I can assure you that I'm glad that the other place was closed. My sister isn't vegan but she enjoyed the pizza just as much as I did. First time ordering from Uncle Gino's and we were not disappointed!!! Everything from the dough to the way it was prepared was 10/10! I was greeted by a very sweet young lady by the name of Venus and her customer service was above and beyond! I was staying the weekend at a nearby winery and didn't want to order in room service so I opted to order take out from Uncle Gino's. Venus so graciously offered us plates and napkins as I told her I was staying at a hotel for the night. We ordered the cheese calzone and a large works pizza. I've been driving out of the area to Bonsall or Encinitas to get good pizza. I've been waiting years for some good pizza in Temecula, and it's finally here. The owner is friendly, the place is clean, and the pizza is delicious. Even the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be back. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. If you're unsure, they sell it by the slice during lunch. That's a great way to try their pies without spending a lot of dough. read more

This is a little hole in the wall, but has the best Italian food, buy his supplies from Rome. Prices are a little high, but the food is awesome. If you're craving pizza, Uncle Gino's is the place to go!! The sign advertising their special "vegan pepperoni pizza" is what caught our attention on the walk to another restaurant. Decided to give it a try and omgee - the quality of food can speak for itself but the customer service truly made my sister and I's day. Uncle Gino's kind attitude, careful preparation to avoid cross contamination and thoughtfulness of giving us the pepperchinis on the side so the pizza wouldn't get soggy is unmatched to any other pizzeria we've visited. The pizza was so delicious we were eating it in the parking lot and noticing through the window, Uncle Gino brought out napkins and a plate. Pizza aside, his daughter is vegan and makes the dessert we tried. It was recommended to warm it up a bit at home (order was to go) & the gooey chocolate goodness in the perfectly crispy pastry had me gobble it down so fast i forgot to take a picture! My pizza was made fresh after I ordered on the phone and when I arrived promptly my order was done baking, and I added on desserts right before it was going to close. I was worried about ordering pizza from this place given that I had read reviews about the greasy pizza inching its way out of the cardboard box or completely falling out due to the run-off grease on the pizza. The employees were friendly and even broke down the dessert menu for my husband and I. I ordered the pizza closest to a Supreme pizza with sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, olives and mushroom. As requested they covered half the pizza with black olives. The tiramisu was fresh, made out of great quality ingredients and was made in-store. I loved it! I never had a tiramisu cake so rich, fluffy and fresh. The cannolis were the perfect size and well yummy. Too sweet for me but my husband loved them. I see myself becoming a loyal returning customer. Stopped in on our way back to San Diego, and picked up a Margherita pizza. It's a small shop with a couple of tables for outdoor dining. Best pizza in Temecula, hands down! Gino cooks with love and provides Vegan options as well. The vegan cheesecake is incredible! Toppings are $2.50 each but quality so I don't mind. First of all, let me say, there are 3 pizza places I drive past, before I get to Gino's from my house. This is how great, fresh, and delicious this pizza is. But be advised, its so fresh, you need to call ahead. Everything is made to order. It might take a while, but Soooo Worth it !!! This family spot is the BEST of the Temecula Valey! I Had the pleasure of meeting Gino and his lovely daughter Venus today. My wife and I have to have Gino at least 2 or 3 times a week. Good pizza, just don't recommend the margarita pizza. Margerita pizza was too soggy with garlic juice and way too much cheese. I think they forgot Tomatoes on mine too. The garlic soaked through the box and all over the car seat. Still can't get the smell out. My husband and I ordered pizza about 2 months ago and it was our first time trying it. Was delicious! This time we spent over $70 on 2 medium pizzas, a calzone and hot wings. I ordered a calzone with green peppers, jalapeños and olives. Once we got it home it was huge and looked amazing. I then cut a third of it and noticed it was filled with watery ricotta. Once I ate that piece I noticed the rest of the calzone was watery and soggy. Since we spent so much money I decided to call the restaurant. The owner answered (Gino) and I explained that it was soggy. He told me it was the veggies I added to it and I needed to cut it in half to eat it. I told him the veggies I got aren't watery, usually when you add spinach or tomatoes it gets watery. I told him I've eaten a calzone before and I've never had an issue eating one. He didn't care one bit. I asked him if there's anything he could do and he said no. I told him I will not be ordering from his restaurant ever again and he said ok. My brother ended up taking the calzone back to the restaurant. The lady working there was arguing and having an attitude with my brother over it saying it was perfectly fine. After seeing the calzone, The owner did realize the calzone was not edible and made me another one. Once I got it, it was almost the same exact way, adding just ricotta and not mozzarella to it makes it too soggy .. I'm all about supporting small businesses but when a customer isn't satisfied with their food and the owner doesn't want to correct it until customers have to go back there and show them the food to make it right is absurd. When I initially called he should have at least had the courtesy to apologize and ask how to fix the issue, especially when the pizzas and calzones are expensive. Will never ever come back here again! Gino and his family that work there are miserable people and don't take pride in their business. read more
