Update: Got a quick customer service response that explained what happened. Status of updated rating is contingent on whether the difference will be credited back to me. Otherwise, great customer service and not a bad place to get your car wash. Original: Terrible. I'm being charged 25 dollars for what was suppose to be an 8 dollar wash. This is according to the automated machine. I also tried to call the phone number given through Google but no one picks up any of the phone calls and judging by the other review on Google, this is a perpetual thing. I'll probably come here again just because of the convenient location but I won't be paying with my credit card next time. What a great scam this company has. read more

This car wash is a RIP OFF!!! I repeat RIP OFF. They over charge you for an automatic car wash and than you car is still dirty. Even had the car wash stop in the middle of a wash and never got a refund or call back from customer service. They raised the price of the vacuum to $3 dollars and you only get 2 minutes to finish. VERY disappointed and I don't recommend this to anyone your better off going to BROWN BEAR they even give you free air fresheners. read more

Spent $20 to hand wash my vehicle. Pulled out after drying it with the blower, then standard touch up with the microfiber towel. There was an employee using a gas powered blower and wasn't attentive to where he was blowing the dust my mud particles on my white vehicle. for a $7 basic automatic wash, not bad. my car got attacked by a pine tree and was covered with pollen to the point that I was embarrassed to drive it. The car is usually blue and was dirty to the point that it looked like I went off-roading through a Diwali festival. my car was yellow. and sticky. gross. the little pay box here was simple to use and took my credit card easily. I pulled up into the auto bay & shut my car off. thick spray of soap, turbo water hosed off, dryers on. I was out in a few minutes with a clean car and no problems. I feel like Brown Bear does a better job, but this place is fine for urgent needs. read more

Went here 2 weeks ago and credit card statement showed a $25 charge, Wondered if i had zoned out, and lingered too long, so came back yesterday and hustled (rinse/wash/rinse then red stop button), Charge? $25. Everything you could want in a car wash. They have both touch less automated car wash and self-service style bays. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the amenities, and there is usually even an employee working in case there are any issues. My car always comes out sparkling clean at a great price. What more could you want? As a bonus, all of the machines accept credit cards, or, you can use the token machine and get a discount by ordering a higher price. read more

I have been to this place a few times I liked it because it takes credit card. One thing I don't like about this place is when you swap the cleaning mode it takes about 30 seconds or so for the content you expect to start come out of the same nozzel. I think I have spent around 20 bucks on the self wash but it was a thorough cleaning with blown dry with their hand drier. All in all positive experience but price is on the expensive side. 3.5/5 stars. I would return. read more

I visited uncle Ike for the first time yesterday. This is my first visit to any car wash. Randy( if I remember name properly) helped me to figure out the process. I went for self serve car wash. Mine is a brand new car and has little dirt which I wanted to get rid of and experience a car wash. The equipment is easy to use. Pricing could be affordable and more details on how much it would cost based should've been displayed. I ended up spending 25$(maxed out). The soap didn't help as I anticipated to wash out all the dirt. The dirt in bottom part of car wasn't removed. I had to manually buff it off using a towel. The air dryer was useless. It didn't have enough pressure as other equipment to remove water so I don't recommend using it and save some time and $. The space to dry your car and wipe off water is clean, well lit and spacious. Cheers on that. Overall experience was good. My recommendation to self service car wash customers is get some towels and clean surfaces after rinsing it. I saw few customers do that. Just spraying won't do much job. Stay away from that air dryer. I think I woulr visit this place again but with proper equipment at hand. read more

Tried out the automatic touchless car wash. Awesome, easy to use machine, but it didn't get the job done. I paid $11 for the gold/deluxe wash and was expecting a thorough clean. There was still dirt/grime on the back, side view mirrors, head lights, tail lights, windshield, and wheels. The wash package said it would clean the wheels but there was still significant dirt/grime left. I give the automatic touchless car wash 2 stars, the first star for the easy to use machine, and second for an OK wash on the door panels and hood. Other than that, I would suggest more soap, more water, and a longer wash time for a thorough clean. read more

Great place for a quick car wash and vaccum.

I like doing the self service wash at Sea Suds so I can really get in there and clean my car better than an automated car wash would. Plus I always have way too much fun using the pink foam brush. It's pretty cheap (like $5-$6) to get your car squeaky clean as long as you are quick. Just don't make the mistake of using every single feature of the wash because you'll go way over time and end up spending a lot more than you wanted to. I also recommend using cash, because the machine automatically holds $25 when you swipe your card. I get why they do that but I find it annoying because the charge doesn't usually fall of your account for several days. read more

Paid for a car wash, but for whatever reason, the process didn't work. No attendant was on duty so I asked another patron if they knew who to contact. I was told that the car wash was owned by the "pot shop" owner on the corner. So I venture over there. After talking to the staff (who were friendly) I was informed of an 855 number that was located at the car wash. I left a message at that number as to what happened and my call back number with my name. Although it said on the recorded message that I would be contacted within 24 hours, a received a return call immediately. Unfortunately, that's where the proffesionalism ended. Shortly after our conversation started, I was accused of having an attitude and called a "fucking idoit" by a man named Ian who I later found out was indeed the owner. We spent the next few moments debating as to who had the attitude. Eventually he hangs up on me so I call him back. I am immediately called a "stupid idiot" and told to "get the fuck" off if his property. At this point, I'm not moving until I receive a refund which, of course, he threatens to call the police which, of course, I say "call em". He then says " you're a stupid fuck. if you had been listening you would have heard me say I've refunded your money already." He hangs up on me again. I then check my bank statement. The initial transaction was recorded but no refund was there, so I call him back. No answer. So I call back again, he answers "are you gonna do this all night?" He asks. At that point we needed a "face to face" is what I said to him. He shortly shows up a little later and if course the insults continue. Mind you I am heated, but never once did I disrespect nor call him out of his name. Even after the barrage of "colorful" insults he threw my way. The only thing I commented about to him was his professionalism. He even got into my car to try to move it, I assume. So I started to video him. That really set him off. He tells me video recording was not allowed on his property. So he rushes me and tries to grab my phone. I don't let him so he pushes me. I respond by calling the police myself. Yes, this is stupid. But all I wanted was my car washed or a refund. Finally the police show up. We have a friendly conversation in which I left w/out a clean car or a refund. I would warn anyone not to frequent this establishment. I don't know if it was me, but this guy is a terrible person. When you pay for a service you should receive it. Not the insults that I did. My 14 dollars was money well spent. I learned who I was doing business with. Won't be contributing to that business ever again. He and I agreed on that. I gave this establishment 1 star. Had an issue with one of the wash bays not issuing me the full amount of time, for the amount of tokens I put in. I called and spoke with either the owner or manager. He was very apologetic and explained that some jerk was stuffing things in the slot after hours and that they are repairing that bay. He asked for my address and info and said he would make it up to me. I received a package with more then a fair amount of tokens for my trouble. I use this carwash literally weekly and have never had an issue. The one time I did they more then made up for the slight inconvenience. This is the cleanest, nicest wash I've seen in Seattle and their customer service is awesome. Highly recommend! read more

Decent place to clean your car but it's a little too crowded. The detailing & vacuum stations are a little too close to the self wash area so you can get sprayed. And people dusting off their floor mats while I'm drying/vacuuming my car...Also, the shampoo cleaner didn't seem to work too well. If you come during the weekday before 4pm when it's less crowded, it's a much better experience. read more

Very mixed experiences here. There don't seem to be attendants around most of the time so there's no one to go to if there's a problem, and the prices are higher here than they are at Brown Bear, especially for the self wash. I'll stick to Brown Bear--which supplies free towels, which always has attendants on hand, and is less expensive--even though it's farther away. read more

I love this place - and I'm SO glad to have it back in action. I sometimes wash my car myself, and also use the auto wash. I had some trouble with one of the machines, and called the number on the token machine at the car wash. The owner called me back almost immediately, and really helped me out. I got the basic wash today because my car was so dirty from driving on a long gravel road. The wash was ok for what it was. My car looks a lot better compared to what it was but I think you can get a better wash at other car washes for cheaper. Used the "touchless" automated carwash. Spent 14 bucks on the "platinum" version. Result: car is basically just as dirty as it went in. Wheels are dirty, hood is dirty, headlights are dirty. It barely even made a difference. read more

I've always loved this car wash. It's centrally located a fairly priced. Until recently when I was forced to use the self serve wash. I washed my car for five minutes which was listed as five dollars but later when I checked my account I noticed that they had charged me 25 dollars!!! A preliminary charge.... Who does this??? Charge someone three times the price and then refund it four days later? This is super annoying and frankly unnecessary. I am seriously considering not going back after years of being a faithful customer. I'm sure they have the technology to charge the price according to the usage. That being said when I called to inquire about the charge the person I spoke with was kind and refunded my car wash. But that refund was not posted for several days. All in all it cause a major Financial inconvenience. Not to mention it's bad business. I don't know if they assume that most of their customer won't miss 25 extra dollars for a few days but even that assumption is miss guided. If you are planning to stop in at sea suds be warned the self serve is expensive regardless of the time you use you will be charged 25$ Pay with cash, go to the drive through wash or skip it all together! A real ripoff. I used a credit card and was charged $25.00. At the end of the washing, the screen said that I owed $5.00 - a little high but within reason. Then the credit card charge appeared and it was for $25. Don't know who to call or complain to and I did not receive a receipt to prove that the charge was $5. Don't use this ripoff facility. I want to update my review on Sea Suds Car Wash. After posting, Ian from Sea Suds emailed and called me to discuss the $25 charge. He promised to reverse the charge, and he promptly did. There was a glitch in the transaction that caused the $25 charge and Ian made good on it. I tried out Uncle Ike's automated car wash this morning. Figured it's nearby and worth a try. Paid for the platinum option and was disappointed by the quality of the job it did. I spent another 20 minutes trying to finish cleaning the car prior to cleaning the interior. The stall near the vacuum I wanted had a garbage bag that the attendant had left there. The other stall available near a vacuum was extremely slippery because of a lot of oil on the ground. Be aware that the vacuums cost $2 for only 3 minutes. I think next time I'll go back to brown bear because it does a better job for about the same price. read more

The car came out clean, but the set-up, as other reviewers have noted, seems dishonest. It's set up to over-charge you. When you swipe your card, it charges you a minimum fee ($5.00) and then if you hit 'stop charging' it turns off the washer rather than letting you use the time you paid for. So then you need to start over from zero. Also the nozzles for washing are on the opposite side from the main one, which means you waste the time you've paid for running around figuring out what hose works for the wash/ rinse/rainbow whatever you've selected on the dial. It's close to where I live, but I would rather drive somewhere further away than give my money to a company who is suckering people. read more

Wow...an "absentee" business that really cares! I usually use credit here, because they offer a nice discount (reverse of gas stations!) for ten minutes. This time, after five minutes, I went to switch the knob to rinse and it turned off completely. Bummed about my soapy car, I called the number on the sign unhopefully. Got voicemail, and thought I was doomed...but two minutes later, I got a call back! He said he would reverse the charge, and that if I used my card for the rinse, he'd cancel that charge too! Beyond fair. After I left, he called to let me know he'd reversed both. I am amazed and will always wash my car there! Place is well kept, too. Thanks for caring! read more

I joined Yelp so I could warn other customers about the terrible experience I had at Uncle Ike's car wash. My husband and I went there for the first time today . We got on line for the automated car wash . The pay machine refused 3 of our credit cards. We were frustrated and also literally stuck with the car wash in front of us and cars in back of us. We finally put in a $20 bill to pay for a $9 dollar car wash. The machine returned $11 in car wash tokens. Afterwards we tried to get cash back since we have no interest in going back to this place. The person sweeping the lot said the manager was off and we should have read the instructions on the machine. Our credit cards worked fine before and after this happened . What a scam! The customer service here is horrible. I vacuumed my car the other day and the vacuum stopped sucking halfway thru. I got the attention of the attendant who came over and seen that the vacuum was on but not sucking anything. He reset the machine and it began to suck air after a minute,then the guy turns to me and called me a liar. I was shocked and appalled,I asked to speak with the manager and he told me to get the hell out of here. There were several witnesses who heard it and I have their number plus took pictures of the attendant. Really How rude. read more
