I visited Uncle Julio's yesterday with a group of friends, and we had a great experience from start to finish. The restaurant was very clean, spacious, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I ordered the chicken quesadillas, and they were excellent! They came with fresh guacamole and sour cream, and the portion was so generous that I couldn't even finish them. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. One of my friends ordered the chicken enchiladas and said they were delicious as well. He loved the flavor and thought the portion size was just right. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and a great experience. Between the excellent food, generous portions, clean restaurant, and friendly service, I'd definitely come back and would recommend Uncle Julio's to anyone looking for a great Mexican restaurant.

I have been to many Uncle Julio's and in the past has been enjoyable. However this time I'm rating the service. This time, the food was ok but it took forever to get it. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa and then ordered queso, 1 regular and one with meat. Unfortunately it took about 20 minutes for it to come out. The waiter kept coming by to apologize and telling us that our food is coming out soon. Then we ordered our main courses, I ordered fish tacos and asked to ask cotija cheese but it wasn't on it when I got my tacos, my family ordered beef fajitas. It took our food another 30 minutes or so to come out. Toward the end of our meal the manager came by to see how we were doing and made sure I got my cheese but at that point we were already eating and didn't feel like "venting" at that point. I believe the service was poor because they had a few large parties but I feel like the staff, especially management could have done better about setting expectations or comp us for our inconvenience. We will probably be back but potentially another location.

I got an appetizer of nachos. And this thing a whole meal. I literally fell asleep after I got done eating. Was not prepared for the load. And didn't need that extra rice at all.

Uncle Julio's used to be a fan favorite, but my recent visit was a big disappointment. The restaurant was nearly empty, and after tasting the food, it was easy to see why. I ordered Roberto's Combo Plate (seasoned beef enchilada, crispy beer taco, and pork tamale with salsa carne) and the Chicken Fajitas with rice and beans. The chicken was cut in big, bulky pieces, and honestly, everything tasted like it had been microwaved rather than freshly prepared. Nothing was bad enough to be disgusting, but nothing was memorable either. Food was very mid for the prices charged. I definitely won't be coming back. To each their own, but this once-favorite spot has lost its spark.

I have usually loved the steak fajitas from here, but this time I got them there were not good. They are usually consisted, but mine was chewy and burnt. I ordered them on uber for delivery. The color of the fajita meat was char not enjoyable. I received a little bit of cheese which was covered by the sour cream on top. I didn't receive any pico de gallo or lettuce. I don't know if they were very busy and they were rushing because it was lunchtime , but I had a very disappointing meal.

Mediocre food, mediocre service, overpriced, small portions, ridiculous wait time.We went to celebrate a birthday, our fountain drinks took forever to come out,we werent given any chips and salsa until we asked for it(its complimentary) ,waited extra for the salsa just for it to have a rubber band in it.The service was mid & we hardly got checked on.My family didnt want to said anything but this was ridiculous...

We hadn't been to Uncle Julio's since before 2020 and times have changed. We stopped in on a Friday night after shopping in the area, we immediately noticed the floor was sticky. Our waiter was friendly but not very attentive, the food was ok but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was good. I can't recommend this place based off this experience but would still probably choose this place over an On the Border.

I can't believe that I've never before visited Mariano's Hacienda Ranch. I've been missing out on some great Tex-Mex! I knew I was going to have a great meal when I got out of the car and smelled the Mesquite smoke from the grill that Mariano's uses. The food was awesome and delicious. My Margarita was tasty, with a very generous pour of Tequila. The two salsas, traditional and warm chipotle, were fresh, with vibrant flavors of tomatoes, chilies, onions, cilantro. The guacamole was the perfect combination of avacado, lime, salt, cilantro, and onion. Our queso came with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and Picadillo ground beef. My lovely Wife had 3 Shrimp en Brochette with a Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada. She was overjoyed with her flavorful Mariano's Hacienda Ranch Tex-Mex dinner! I was so very happy with my delicious Beef Fajitas (they used tender outside skirt steak) with onions and peppers, all grilled over Mesquite coals. The flavors of Mesquite permeated my fajitas with smoky, sweet goodness, while the marinated meat was grilled perfectly over high heat, to yield juicy, seared, melt-in-your-mouth, beef flavor. Service was friendly and professional. Our meal was relatively inexpensive, offering great value for the high quality of the very tasty Tex-Mex cuisine. I have a new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in Arlington/North Texas. I offer my highest recommendation of Mariano's Hacienda Ranch in Arlington, Texas, at Hwy 360 & Majesty Drive. I can't wait to go back (especially for the Mesquite grilled Tex-Mex meals).

Everything starts with the fire-roasted salsa. That stuff is ridiculous. I'd pour it over a 2x4 and eat it. Smoky, fresh, and addictive. I have to stop myself from filling up on chips before the food arrives. The fajitas are the star of the show. Tender, flavorful, and consistently excellent every single time. This is one of those places where you don't need to study the menu. Just order the fajitas and thank me later. The service is always good too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps everything moving without hovering over your table. If Mariano's ever changes their fajita recipe, I'm prepared to testify before Congress. Until then, this place gets an easy five stars from me.
