Went in over an hour and a half until close 6 adults, 1 baby. Hardly anyone in the restaurant but still took over 10 minutes to get seated. Then we sat there for about another 10-15 minutes because I guess they didn't assign someone to our table?? Waiter finally comes and takes our drink orders, we ordered 3 alcoholic beverages and the other 3 were regular drinks. They take our order , go through all of us, then at the end said "oh we don't have any beef". We take a minute to see the menus since most of us ordered with beef, and finally re order. Waiter comes back, "oh we don't have any shrimp", 2 of us have to relook at menu. At this point is has been about an hour and all we've had is our drinks and chips. Still have not received our alcoholic beverages, waiter goes to check on them and we see him having to make them himself even though the people at the bar had been just standing there the entire time (mind you it's really only 2 drinks because one was a beer bottle. Finally we get our drinks, waiter comes back and says they're out of rice and it's basically closing time at this point. Almost an hour and half there and all we got was our drinks and chips. We decided to leave instead because it was just a huge waste of time by this point. Waiter was great and very apologetic but a seriously ridiculous experience. I visited Uncle Julios in Arlington July 4 weekend. It had been a while since I had been there. My wife and myself plus my sister were totally taken aback at the quality of the food. My wife had enchiladas and they were topped with some kind of cabbage slaw. What? I had the tacos and they were equally bad. We were astonished at the total decline of the food. Today (5/18)...my family and i went to have lunch at Uncle Julio's. The service was "ok" but the drinks (margaritas) were weak. Everyone ordered fajitas...the fajitas were good. But the flour tortillas were cold, the rice was cold and the beans were cold. There was 8 of us and no one ate a flour tortilla. Spent $305 for a bad meal. Next time we will have to go somewhere else. Not happy with Uncle Julio's in Arlington. We were there at lunch and the restaurant was not that busy. You guys need to do better. read more

Each time I visit my family in a Texas, Uncle Julio's is a must. The table side guacamole is absolutely the best I've ever had and the drinks are quite good as well. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with green onions which is what I always order when I come here, or the bacon wrapped shrimp. The enchiladas came out, and did not have green onions but instead, had pico de gallo. I'm not sure if this is the new norm but I didn't complain because it was still tasty. We used to frequent the Addison location because we lived closer to it and never had any issues. Surprisingly I've been living in Arlington for 5 years and I have never been here! Wow! I've been missing out! I tend to crave margaritas but it's hard finding delicious ones! They did me right here! I had a strawberry margarita and a spicy mango margarita! They were both 10/10 and just what I needed. Their food was very fulfilling to the point it looked like we barely touched it so we took it home! The beef enchiladas were so yummy and the sauce they put on it, I need that in a bottle to go too LOL. Of course their guacamole & Queso was *chef's kiss* -- tasted extremely fresh! Awesome bartender, Jannette & another guy. Love the grapefruit margarita. Refreshing and never had this yumminess that's not too sweet. Most places loaded up way too much sugar in Texas, that's why there are hundreds of dentists all over the areas! Wake up people... sugar is bad for our health. Went here and made a reservation on Open Table, my brother had brought an extra person & they were able to accommodate us right away without making it seem like it was a big deal. I mention this because this has happened before and I've been lectured or talked about by hostess saying how different it is space wise for 5 than 4, I get it and we are always willing to wait, just don't be rude. Okay, end rant. I just meant to say it was appreciated. Their chips and salsa were good! We had a variety of food ordered... fajitas, enchiladas, fish tacos, quesadillas, & tacos. I had the fish tacos and asked them to replace the corn tortillas with flour tortillas. I was impressed because throughout my meal the flour ones held up and did not go soggy. Compliments to the kitchen for putting together my tacos where the sauce didn't sink to the bottom nor did tomatoes or anything else to make its soggy. The tilapia used was delicious! The sauce was a bit more spicy than I expected, I know it was chipotle ranch but it had a big kick! I was also able to try the chicken enchiladas substituted with sour cream sauce, very good. Compliments from the rest of the fam on everything else... especially the fajitas. I wish I had gotten the name of our server. Young kid, dark short hair, we were there on 12/22 at a table close to the restrooms around 5:30pm. He was fast, very helpful on menu suggestions, and kept our drinks filled and other needs satisfied. One star short of five due to the restroom floor was extremely sticky, the sauce being too spicy, and the fact that they were out of iced tea. Overall though it was a good experience. We came as a large group of 10, called ahead in the morning to make a reservation but the host wasn't very accommodating stating they probably wouldn't be able to seat us all together. However on arrival they had put us all together on the high tops in the bar area - it was a Monday night and the restaurant was hardly busy. We had three servers taking care of us and the service was absolutely terrible, they didn't take care of us at all. They never offer us more alcoholic drinks, we would have probably had at least two rounds between us if not more! They never checked on us to see how our food was after it had been delivered, never offered us dessert. We had to flag our servers down for everything, it was really was appalling service. The food was ok, nothing amazing or special I'd want to go back for. The salsa with the chips was pretty decent and had a nice little kick. I had the combo fajita plate with chicken, steak and bacon wrapped shrimp - I was surprised when the server asked how I wanted my steak cooking. The dish was nice and I did enjoy the tortillas. We were seated for about 15 minutes before anyone came to out table to take our drink order. There were 3 other tables in our area and they were left waiting as well. Service has been the downfall of most of our visits this year. We were with a group of 6 for our son's birthday so we decided to order appetizers. We don't usually do this other than a small order of queso so we were unfamiliar with them. We ordered nacho's thinking we would be able to share an order with the table. For 13.00 for bean and cheese nacho's we expected a plater and were shocked when the waiter brought out a plate with 6 nacho's out to the table. Just wow. that's more than 2.00 per nacho. The rest of the meal was just okay. Watery guacamole only 3 tortillas for an order for 2 fajitas, just nothing special. Nothing like it used to be. All of our visits this year have been disappointment. We used to look forward to our visits to this restaurant but I think it's time to write this one off as a loss. This experience ruined our date night. We were immediately sat in the bar area. No server for about 15 minutes. We order drinks and food together since we've been sat for some time now. My husband orders sweet tea and was brought unsweetened. No big deal. Another server brought out our food and we never saw our server again. I asked 3 people to get our server. We had to beg for drink refills. My order came out wrong, then they went on to charge me for the items that were originally missing. When our server finally came I asked for the check because I could feel myself getting upset. I thought maybe I could be over reacting, but then the other 2 tables the bartender had were complaining as well. He mixed up credit cards, tickets, etc. Manager told me the menu was wrong and they needed to fix it, that's why my food came out different. Please y'all get it together. First things first, George the waiter, 5 stars. The service was great. This was my first official visit to this location. I attempted to meet a friend here a month ago and even though the parking lot was practically empty and we were wanting to sit on the completely empty patio, we were told that there was a 20-30 minute wait and that we should do it in our car. It was 3:30 on a Wednesday and in the 90s. I am not trying to be a pain, and understanding capacity limitations, but I did ask why such a long wait when the patio was completely empty. I was told they were short staffed. Apparently that has been an issue, as my friend has run into this situation more than once. They no longer have any happy hour food specials and the drinks just consist of the swirl margarita and their house margarita on the rocks. The margarita was heavy on the sweet and sour. The guacamole was pretty bland. We had to ask for salt and then just threw some salsa in it. The salsa is really good. Doesn't pack the heat, but it is smokey and and I enjoy it. Also, their chips are super thin. It works for salsa, but they just break apart when trying to scoop some guac. They have a great patio, the service is good, I just think the food and drinks are average, though the prices are not. read more

Got our drinks about 20 minutes after that. The problem was the food. A full 50 minutes after ordering, we finally got our meals-2 enchilada dinners and one of those wasn't even warm enough to melt the cheese on top. The manager did apologize and covered the food. While we appreciated the response, it was hard seeing tables that came in after eating before us. Hopefully this was an off night. I went there for the first time today only because my husband picked the restaurant to go to. I hate to say the street tacos (steak) was the worst I've ever had. We had our Christmas Part at Julio's in Arlington Texas, The food was OK, the Service was awful. we had ask for help and they walked right past, ask the manager, and got no response. they had 1 server for our table of 17 people. the restaurant was more than 1/2 empty. the server was gone more from our table, i would catch a glimpse as she was at bar and in kitchen. sounds like someone needs to have a talk with these people. I can't believe I failed to get a picture of our food! Everything we ordered was great. My personal favorite was the charro beans( I realize that's considered a simple dish, but it takes skill to get beans right)! Beef enchiladas were outstanding as well. Haven't eaten here in about a year but I attended a Bday dinner here. Our party was seated in a timely manner. Our server promptly came to our table and greeted us. He was very patient as we were trying to decide what to order. He was very attentive and answered all of our menu questions. Our food was served fresh, hot and was delicious. Seasoned to perfection and very flavorful. Our server was excellent in providing us dinner service. The Mgr visited our table a couple times just to make sure our dining experience was pleasant. I will be eating there again very soon because I had one of the best dining experiences I can ever remember having. Apparently, Uncle Julio's is also Savage Burrito. I ordered 2 BYO burrito bowls and a dozen churros. That's also exactly what the receipt stapled to the bag read. However, inside was one burrito and a side salad. Normally, this might not be a big concern. It certainly wasn't with the to-go or restaurant manager at Uncle Julio's. HOWEVER, one of those burrito bowls was for my husband who is a Hospice patient. Lately, he is awake 1-2 hours a day. I tried to order something he could eat and would be tasty PLUS delivered when he was awake. I can only I get him to eat a little bit once or twice a day. The mistake was made at Uncle Julio's. Because it was delivered by Door Dash and I paid Door Dash, no one at Uncle Julio's cared. Poor business model and customer service! Door Dash issued a refund. I will never order from Uncle Julio's or Savage Burrito again. read more
