Halal. No proper seating. More of a walk-in. Size of the sandwhich is 2/3 the length of a fork for $16, no sides and drinks etc. It took them literally 1hr to prep 2 sandwiches. They told me to come in 40 minutes and then when I got there I had to wait another 20. So Order ahead. Got the Nashville pickle, the mild nashville chicken sandwhich and the Japanese nanban one. The structure was the same on them. The wild Nashville was not very spicy at all. It had more of a earthy flavor. The Japanese was a little sour and vinegary but I liked it more than the Nashv one. The Nashville hot pickle was supposed to be spicy but I think they forgot to put the seasoning on it so it was plain. I would return for the japaness one but I wish that the size was a little bit bigger for the price that I am paying.
This is a small halal restaurant offering BBQ ribs and hot (spicy) chicken. It is currently a one-man operation with Alex as the manager and chef. The ribs are fall-off the bone and are barbecued everyday from their sister restaurant Meat & Pie Co. The hot chicken has a unique recipe from chef Alex. You can choose level 1 to 5 (5 is hottest). Even level 1 could be considered hot because it is fried in chili oil, then different amounts of hot sauce is put on it. If you really don't even want level 1, Alex can avoid the chili oil. You can buy menu items individual or there are two combo packages available. For a family, you can ask for a huge platter (not the menu). Our platter consisted of: Nashville Hot Chicken , $11.50 x 3 Garlic Grilled Cheese, $4.00 x 2 Full Rack Ribs (6-7 bones), $39.50 5 Fry Fries, $4.00 x 2 (5 types: beet root, parsnip, sweat potato, curly, potato wedges) Coleslaw, $3.00 x 2 Corn Bread, $3.00 x 2 Sauces $1.50 x 5 (spicy mayo, ketchup, garlic mayo, honey mustard, BBQ sauce) The ribs are good The meat is so tender. It has a slight layer of "charcoal" which adds to the taste. However the chicken is superb! There were 2 other customers who said the same thing about the chicken; one said it was the best she ever tasted! The corn bread and coleslaw are amazing. Foe the sauces, I liked the garlic mayo and honey mustard. I was surprised because I don't like mustard but this sauce didn't have a strong mustard taste. For drinks, there are pop cans/bottles and water bottles. Cans are $1.50 and bottles are $3.00. The soft opening was on 2020-07-25. The grand opening will be around 2020-09-04. They accept only credit or debit so no cash. You can sit indoors (the restaurant has a good air conditioner) or move a table outdoors. There is no free WiFi. You can use the free WiFi from Saucy Plate (no password). There is one gender-neutral washroom which is wheelchair accessible. There is a button to automatically open the door from the outside and inside. There is a button to lock the door from the inside. This good for sanitary reasons since you can use you elbow if you wish.
Solid 3.5 stars for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Was nearby and wanted to give their chicken sandwich a try. They were super busy with takeout order but our order was ready within 15 minutes. We got the hot chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken itself was juicy, tender and fried nicely, it was a pretty big piece too. Cabbage and sauce were tasty as well. The buns were cheddar crusted garlic bread which was good and went well together, but it made the sandwich a bit too heavy for us. Flavors were jice and each bite was delicious, you just might not be able to finish it. Came with a side of dill fries which was a nice change of taste from other fries. They have a nice range of spice levels from 0 (mild) to 5 (dangerously hot/carolina reaper). We got spice level 2 (hot) which wasn't too spicy and still enjoyable. If you're a fan of Nashville hot chicken, definitely worth trying.
So I ordered online per website instructions at 5:11 pm on a Sunday, the specified pick-up time was 5:45 pm. I ordered the hot chicken sando with fries (level 1) $19.50, Nashville hot chicken (level 3) $11.50, half rack beef ribs $19.50 & corn bread $3.00. Note: the bun of the sandwich is a garlic grilled cheese. When I went to pick up my order at 5:45 pm I was told it would be "about another 10 minutes", this happened 5 times until 6:30 pm!!! It was a one-man show, he was very unapologetic. There were many frustrated customers on-site, the one employee (not wearing a mask btw) told an uber driver it would be another 15 minutes, the driver said he couldn't wait and had to go. The employee said "go ahead!". When I finally got my food the employee gave me greasy dirty cardboard containers and I had to bag the food myself. Again no apology... I also noticed the picture online shows their fries as a mix of 5 different types (curly, sweet potato, regular, waffle etc.), I just got regular fries. Now for the food, taste was definitely there. No complaints on the ribs, sandwich was good, slightly greasy. I really enjoyed the cornbread. Hotness level 3 is way too hot, level 1 would be considered medium. Definitely wanted to support this new halal bbq joint, given the service and extreme wait time I probably would not order again. I also don't like that you have to order and PAY online before you get your food, if I hadn't paid I might have left cause 45 minutes is way too long.
Absolutely, hands down, the BEST Nashville hot chicken I've ever had. The portion is great (I can't hold the sandwich with both my hands and the chicken is the size of my hand) and the flavours are . We tried both the Pink Sauce and the spicy mayo and it's sooo good. The sandos are also paired with some yummy dill fries. Choose your spice level wisely because they deliver. We reccomend level 3 to start. Highly reccomend!!!!
I ordered uber. Food was fire the jerk chicken i saw on tik tok delivered juciness, flavour and they were big. The cole slaw was nice and cool and crispy with a hint of sweetness not too much, which was perfect. The barbecue brisket on a bun was sweet and tangy, just the right bite. Yummy and they are open til 3am the perfect after club meal. Saw them on Tiktok. They delivered. read more
I got a spicy chicken sandwich and honestly it did not disappoint at all, even though I am very picky with chicken in general but this one tasted amazing. I'd say the service is good, I got this on uber eats and it came very hot and fresh genuinely this place is underrated. read more

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Placed the order online on the way to the restaurant and it was ready fresh to serve by the time we arrived. Ordered the Hot Chicken Sando with fries. It was spicy and packed with flavour. read more
