​I walked into this venue 20 minutes before closing time. When I tried to order, the staff informed me that the rice wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes. I replied that it was completely fine with me, then I placed and paid for my order. ​The second the payment cleared, they turned around and told me they actually weren't going to make the rice at all. ​Why lie? If you don't want to serve food close to closing time, just say that upfront instead of pulling a blatant bait-and-switch. Utterly dishonest and terrible customer service. Had issues with the tablet and when I tried to explain the confusion to the staff, they repeatedly cut me off and wouldn't let me properly explain what I was seeing, confidently insisting on what they assumed the problem was. They just ended up wasting more of my "20 minutes". Ontop of that the amount of guest they turned away was baffling. If you want a better experience, stick with Panda Express where they are upfront about what you can order and always treat you right. read more

Location at universal is great for this spot. Of the selection of places to eat, this was the least bad, the others were habit, Panda Express, kfc, pinks etc. Service was decent and food was also decent. I ordered the grilled chicken poke bowl ($16). It did have a lot of salt which I didn't like, but it tasted very good. The rice was $3 what a great bargain, I got extra rice and the poke bowl that contained seaweed, grilled chicken, edamame, and green onions. It had soy sauce in it which I found to be excessive and overpowered the taste of the chicken to some degree. The ambiance is extraordinary, the universal city walk of immaculate as it was 30 years ago. The King Kong, the lights, neon colors at night and crowded environment made me feel energetic and happy. The food was filling for what I paid, I just wish the chicken wasn't so salty although I normally don't eat salty foods like the other people around me. I'm sure they consumed significantly more salt than I do due to my IBS condition. Overall, of the selective places around, I like this place due to its healthy selection and nature of fish and rice. A staple for high protein and good carbs. Although you can substitute the rice for salad. It won't fill you up. After, I decided to go get yogurt-land to help with digestion. The sashimi poke of salmon and tuna made me hesitant to order due to the chance of parasitic worms or indigestion issues with IBS. I recommend this place if you want to maintain a fit figure. I decided to try Uncle Sharkii on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Decent poke and definitely satisfied my craving. Did not interact too much with staff as orders are placed on the kiosk. The kiosk was a little confusing though as it only had options to say which toppings you did not want on your bowl. Otherwise, service is quick and the interior is clean and organized with seating available outside. Good option if you're in Citywalk and wanting a quick bite to eat. read more

Decided to try this poke place and I think it was okay. Nothing to brag about on the taste. Portion okay I guess. The price for the bowl, is comparable, or decent or the location at least. They just ask what you wanted to order and if you want spicy or non spicy and if I wanted with Rice, Salad or Mixed. There is a pad where you can order from kiosk. This is one of my fave stops in City Walk. It is fresh food and pretty quick. During peak hours it can get very busy. My favorite bowl is the Salmon and Shrimp one. It is very tasty. It can feed 2 people easily. To order, you can go to the kiosk and place your order. They also have a selection of boba teas. Seating is first come, first serve in the food court. Area can be very loud. Pricing is less than 20 dollars a bowl. Everything extra costs additionally. read more

Very happy with the portion and the bowl was delicious! I got the ahi tuna and salmon bowl! Huge portion that I couldn't finish! I wasn't sure how their mayo sauces would be so I ordered it on the side and that was actually good too. Can't wait to go back. You can find Uncle Sharkii if you go up the escalators across from the AMC theater at citywalk. You can order at a kiosk or at the counter. Service was fast on that Friday afternoon. I got a Salmon and Tuna bowl and it was very filling and refreshing. They allow you to remove any topping as needed and they charge the standard extra for avocado. Also there's a tofu bowl for those who are vegetarian or don't eat seafood. They don't have seating indoors but there are plenty of chairs and tables outside. read more

We have some incredible poke bars in Austin and I had hoped that being in California, that we would have an equally great experience, but the reviews did not lie, it was just ok. I placed a mobile order on the way out of the park so there'd be plenty of time for them to make it and I wasn't cutting it too close, but apparently they throw all the food and drinks out an hour before closing because when I went to go pick it up, they just said "oh ya the mobile order for Jen? Ya we already dumped everything for it, we'll refund you". So they saw the order go through and didn't communicate with me that it was unavailable or cancel the transaction since they apparently had no plans on making it. They just waited for me to come in and find out, so I guess don't go here at night because their closing times aren't accurate. I understand doing some pre-closing duties ahead of time and being out of some things before the close time, but every single thing was dumped already, so at that point just be honest about your hours. It sucks because I normally have good experiences here (I literally ate here yesterday too), but if you close at 8, just say so, and I can find food elsewhere without having to worry about this extra charge on my card while I wait for the refund to go through. read more

If I can give this a negative star I would. Customer service is horrible. They ran out of salad and didn't know how to process a refund. After waiting for 20 mins. They tell me that they ran out of salad and tells me that they will process a refund and it will appear in statement after 2 days without confirming that a refund is processed. These are kids running the counter and are the Face of the restaurant. With their attitude and incompetence, I don't see how this place can continue to succeed. Mgmt needs to step it up read more

I've been to the Waikiki location many times and have always been a fan of Uncle Sharkii's poke bowls, especially when I'm in the mood for something more assorted. However, I would say quality at this location is not the same. I know that you can't compare poke in CA to the ones in Hawai'i but even things like the corn, salad, and rice are just not the same. Given the limited options we have here, Uncle Sharkii is worth a go. Just don't expect to be over the moon. Enjoyable but can use a little boost. Could also have a little more professionalism from the people behind the counter as well. Sitting down at the cash register with your palms on your cheek, when a costumer steps in is a bad look. Don't bother ordering ahead. I work at Universal, so thought I'd save time by ordering ahead of time even though that meant I wouldn't get my employee discount. The time it would be ready kept getting pushed, so I tried calling to make sure the order came through (multiple different numbers I found online) but no one picked up. Finally I walked over to make sure it was being made, and was met with an INCREDIBLY rude employee. I was waiting where orders are picked up, and he looked at me like I was stupid and said "You haven't ordered yet, have you?" I said "Yes, I did online." This man straight up rolled his eyes and took his sweet time to check their iPad. He then made my order VERY slowly (and incorrectly, I might add) and then a second employee came out from the back area. With two people working, this order should have been ready well before I showed up. I doubt a refund will happen, but I was minutes from being late clocking back in because of them and am far from impressed. Proceed with caution. read more
