    Voodoo donut

My favorite donuts! The store was super clean and had amazing customer service. I guess different regions have different names but Mile 8 (m&m) donut never disappoints. They are known for their voodoo donut with raspberry filling and it's delicious as well.

What is not to love!!! Anyone can find their favorite donut. The staff is friendly even with all the questions we may ask. This location is at Universal City Walk. Enjoy a donut before or after a meal or movie. Perfect way to end your evening or even bring them home for the morning. There is a very small area for dining. Always enjoy this location.

Donuts are huge and really sweet. Walked by here one night after dinner. Tried to ask what looked like a manager about their donuts. Trying to get her opinion on best sellers or what's her favorite. She walk pretty rude and dismissive and didn't want to talk. Not sure if she thought I was going to ask if I could come in. I had planned to visit the store in the morning and not be a jerk and try to weasel my way in at closing. Her attitude definitely could've been better. She we came in the morning after, the staff were more pleasant and very accommodating to questions about the products and flavors of donuts they sold. Place was small. Had 1 table inside and I believe 1 outside for seating. Donut was good. Really soft just really sweet.

Let me start by saying something controversial: I don't even like donuts. So walking into Voodoo was already an uphill battle. Neon pink boxes. Goth-circus branding. Bacon on maple bars like it's a personality trait. It's loud, chaotic, and aggressively quirky--like Hot Topic and a sugar refinery had a child. I tried. I really did. The donuts look like they were designed by a committee of 12-year-olds hopped up on soda. Cereal on top. Candy bars shoved into frosting. Marshmallows glued on like a kindergarten art project. It's not pastry--it's edible decoration. And taste? Sugar. More sugar. Then a faint whisper of dough under the avalanche. Texture-wise, it's dense. Not ethereal. Not delicate. Not "worth the insulin spike." Just heavy, sweet dough trying to survive beneath a layer of frosting thick enough to patch drywall. I get it. It's an Instagram thing. You hold the pink box. You pose. You post. You move on. But if you're expecting transcendent pastry? Something that melts in your mouth and makes you rethink carbs? This isn't that. This is spectacle. If you love donuts, maybe you'll find joy in the chaos. If you're donut-neutral like me? It's a sugar parade with a drumline and no melody.

After a fun-filled day at Universal Studios Hollywood, we passed by Voodoo Donuts on our way back to our car. We popped inside to check it out and ended up leaving with a box of fancy donuts. The shop has a LOT of pink decor, mixed with other vibrant colors everywhere you look. But the main draw here are the donuts, of course. Voodoo Donuts has SO many crazy elaborate donuts with just about anything you could want on a donut. Frosting, sprinkles, coconut, peanuts, peanut butter, bananas, cookies, candies, you name it, they got it. They even have one with cayenne pepper and a chili pepper on it. The staff was friendly and very efficient, the long line moved quickly, and we really enjoyed every one of our donuts over the next couple days. If you're in the Universal Studios Citywalk area, you gotta check out Voodoo Donuts.

Visited Voodoo donuts at city walk for an after dinner sweet treat. I love the vibe of this place. Staff was friendly, lines were short and there is a huge variety of donuts to choose from. The cost was very reasonable for these innovative donut flavor combos and they all were delicious!

Voodoo Doughnut is a little nuts. After waiting in an unnecessarily long line due to having one person at the register and another one at the beverage counter, these people are slow. The one in L. A. Next to Pinks is better. I don't know why they cut back on workers at the expense of their customers. The donuts were not bad, it's a donut with extra variety flavor sugar toppings. Depending on the. A dozen donuts you choose from will cost you a minimum of $ 36.00. I will say it's overpriced and the donuts even though it's spelled Doughnuts they taste like most fresh DONUTS. Overall not bad but won't go out of my way for it. I've been to one other location, one person in front went fast. The opposite is true here.

We have been to several other Voodoo donuts including one in Portland and one at City Walk in Orlando. They seem to have the same donuts and are really reliable in the flavor department. There was a slight line when we got there, but it went very fast. The decor fits the Voodoo theme. Very cool place!

If you're looking for a sweet, post-universal studios snack, this spot is a solid choice. It was really slow on a Monday night and service was friendly and quick. They have over 30 donut options to choose from, all with eclectic flavors and toppings. I went with a classic pink sprinkle, called the Little Pink which is anything but small. The frosting had great flavor but the donut itself was a bit dry. Could've been due to the fact they were closing in about an hour. The prices are about what you would expect being located on City Walk, paid around $10 for 3 donuts. The inside of the store has awesome decor and the donuts definitely make for a perfect social media post. It's great to come here after visiting the park and try something new!

I have to be a hipster and say the first time I visited Voodoo Doughnuts was in Portland Oregon. It was fantastic. So was this location! No lines, no swarms of people, just a peaceful Wednesday. I ordered the PB&J and the Mango Tango. Both were delish, but mostly can't stop thinking about the Mango Tango. There is a sour powder on top that adds a kick of fun deliciousness. I wish I could take a bite out of each doughnut. I'd do that for you, yelp.

Had to come here to try out their desserts I had previously been to the Texas location, which was incredible This place did not disappoint. It was a lot smaller, but everything was decorated. Super cute. Staff was so helpful and kind service was incredibly quick too. It was a really nice slow day. We got a box for the family and each donut was so big. You really get great quality product for the money you're paying my personal favorite was the stuffed chocolate doughnut it was fluffy light and the perfect amount of chocolate.

Voodoo Doughnuts was a real SWEET experience!! We've been on a strict nutrition plan and so Voodoo Doughnuts, we broke the rules FOR YOU. Feeling exclusive? :) We did. You didn't disappoint. We had the banana chocolate doughnut which were highly recommended through friends all the way in North Carolina!! This doughnut, this location... we've waited since September to try this on our visit in November. Hot establishment, loved the esthetic... loved our doughnut... well worth the alleged 800 calories to split this bad boy. Yum. Great staff. Also great marketing!! We left universal studios at 1am from Halloween Horror nights and there y'all had a stand outside to buy like a dozen of them. I was tempted!! But we wanted exclusive and fresh, and that's what we got. Great experience from Paso Robles, we are glad you aren't closer because we'd be there way too much but we also see what we are missing. Expect us back each year!! Cheers!!

Ask the Community - Voodoo Doughnut - Universal City

Is there a charging outlet here?

    No :(

Hi do you do special orders? Looking to get about 3 dozen donuts would love a vegan dozen also I'm looking for mini donuts l, do you have minis I would prefer all the orders minis- it's for a baby shower! This Sunday July 24,"th

You'll just have to go there and get in line to place your order

Can I place a phone order and have it picked up the next day?

Can I order on Friday, April 30 and have somebody pick up close to closing time on May 1?

You would need to contact the store directly for that information.

Will delivery be an option soon?

Hello. At this time, delivery is not an option. Please continue checking back for updates!

Is Voodoo open for pickup during lockdown?

    Yes but only for takeout

How late do u guys stay open during HHN? And are the lines super crazy at that time?

Hello I believe the store closes at 2 a.m And although the lines are long it moves fairly quickly

Do the donut experts in Pico Rivera that taught the voo doo donuts guys have their own shops? What are they?

Do they have gluten free doughnuts? Which ones are they?

    No they don't

What does the name of the Eight Mile doughnut have to do with the doughnut itself.?

Eminem starred in the movie "8 Mile" and wrote and performed a song of the same name. Eminem/M&M=the 8 Mile Voodoo doughnut.

Can you pick a box of dozen of your own choosing? If so how much does it cost?

Hi Alyssa! You are welcome to purchase a dozen dougnuts of your choice. Prices may vary depending on which doughnuts you select, as some doughnuts have different values from others.

I'm going to Universal Studios tomorrow (Sunday 8/13) and was wondering what time I should get to Voodoo to grab some donuts? I know Voodoo opens at 8am and was willing to stand in line if the wait is less than an hour.

As long as you go before about 9:00 it should be fine. Usually the line starts building up after that, have an idea of what you want, it makes ordering much quicker when you finally get to the front!

Do y'all have the bucket of doughnuts like the Portland location?

I am not sure Erica because I have never been to the one at Portland Oregon!!! I have only been to the one of Universal Citywalk Ca location!!!

Is it possible to buy a box and have it held at the store when I'm going to the park for the day?

Hi Audrey! At this time, we do not offer pre-orders. But we will be as quick as possible in filling your order! Thx! Ryan

One person working the counter when there's a line out the door?

No they have three on staff now wait was only 15-20 minutes.

Did you guys bring the hibiscus donut to this location?

Nope. As customers, we are not aware of the hibiscus Doughnut at Voodoo Citywalk - although it sounds awesome!

If I buy the doughnuts the night before, will they still taste ok the following morning? It's just a hassle to try and buy the doughnuts the morning of.

Does Citywalk Voodoo have the famous Joint or "Cock n Balls" donuts?

Does voodoo doughnuts continuously bake all day or once it's sold out it's out?

I guess it helps to be surrounded by sweet delights and wafts of sugar-filled cakes baking in the ovens. There's so much greenery, you'll feel your stress levels drop. After debating, nay agonizing, back and forth while waiting in line, I landed on the Huevos Rancheros. The golden crispy tortilla shells add a nice crunch and they're generous with avocado portions. As for the Matcha Latte, it's perfectly frothy. Next up: The Country Breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy & buttery. The cute strawberry banana garnish was like a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

Smooth, balanced, not overly sweet, and made with care. They also absolutely nail the seasonal drinks. The Cookie Latte is currently my favorite. It's cozy, dessert-like in the best way, and still tastes like coffee, not syrup. If you want a spot that gets it right every time, Coffee and Plants is it. Great food, great drinks, and a genuinely lovely place to hang out.

Instead, he very passively aggressively offered me a LONG fake apology implying that I'm the problem. Then REPORTED my review. Welp, y'all are idiots, tbh. The guy was blatantly hitting on my friend in a classless way while brushing me off as he was providing...service. We were both a bit put off. Laughed about him later on. There you have it. Have a nice day!

He made me an absolutely delicious egg, cheese, and avocado sandwich on multigrain bread. Their espresso in their lattes is deep and rich. Atmosphere is friendly and gentle. This is a great place to go to take a little time out and relax and watch the world go by on their pretty little patio.

We got some relatively basic lattes--the milo and iced chai with almond milk--nothing that really is memorable but gets the job done with a nice, cooling refresher. What stands out to me about Bluestone Lane the most are how exuberantly colored it is with many shades of blue and green, their very cushy, cozy couch near the entrance and the incredibly friendly service and comforting atmosphere. We were there for a few hours working on our laptops and the barista offered our dog some water, gushed a bit over how cute she is, and made sure that our experience was the best. We also moved to the cushion at some point in our visit--honestly, it elevates EVERYTHING because it's perfect for sitting down for longer periods of time. I appreciate that it doesn't get too packed inside because it's not a huge space. It would be amazing if they offered more options here as I would LOVE to try their collab and seasonal lattes!
