We had such a great first visit! There was a short wait, but the staff was incredibly friendly and patient with our questions since it was our first time. You could really tell they wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The restaurant has tons of indoor and outdoor seating, and I loved that each area has a different vibe. There's also a convenient to-go window if you're looking to grab something for takeout. We opted for the country breakfast and the chilaquiles which were both a 10/10! Honestly, the options may feel intimidating, but it's such a great place to spend for some quality time with good food. I've been here a few times now and the place continues to surprise me. You need to street park, but it's close enough to a residential area that you may easily find parking one block down. Once you walk in, you'll already see some of their specialties and pastries. I mean, they SHOW amazing dessert before you order anything. What a way to make you hungry before you order. You order and pay before you take a seat. Once you're looking for a seat, you'll realize this place is surprisingly massive. There's an outdoor area at the front, a lot of seats indoors and another long strip of outdoor seating arrangements. THE aroma coffee shop I kept hearing about in my circle. The buzz is well understood now. I had a lavender ice latte, smooooooooth as smooth can get. I was hooked after the first try. We got some pastries as well. The gentleman in the front counter recommended some things, the house made chocolate chip bread muffin was one of them, served warm. The goodies were brought to our table by this charismatic young g guy that was all around fantastic. The chocolate chip bread pudding wasn't warm and we just indulged cause my friend cut it in pieces for us to all share the pastries. The wonderful gentleman who told us about it noticed we didn't get a warm one and without us saying anything, looked for us and brought the warm one for us to experience this delight in its full glory. So I met my cousin for our Cousin Book Club and we rotate locations on where we are going to meet. This was into number 2 and we decided that I would make my way to NoHo. I told her I wanted to try a cute little place and what does she recommend. She gave me choices and we settled on Aroma Coffee & Tea. She did give me fair warning that there was going to be a line on a Saturday and there for sure was. I will have to say that the line was worth it! I got the burger with bacon and that this was ginormous! The fries were perfect! My cousin got the chiliquiles which also looked so good! And the dessert case was AMAZING! A lot of gluten free and vegan options. I'm always hesitant about those options but the vegan biscoff cinnamon roll looked delightful that I had to give it a try. Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and I'm surprised I haven't tried this spot earlier! The restaurant itself is huge, there is so much more seating than it looks like there would be from the outside, with a beautiful patio in the front and the back of the restaurant. You place your order at the counter, where there's usually a line, but it's kept moving at a decent pace. The service here is always super cheerful and friendly! After placing your order, you find a table somewhere and they'll bring it out to you. My go-to's here when it comes to food are usually salmon dishes such as the Grilled Salmon Salad or Grilled Salmon Sandwich - both are delightfully fresh and have a generous mix of toppings and ingredients. I especially love the delicious sauce they put in the Grilled Salmon Sandwich!! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it - YUM!! Writing this review live on Saturday 11/1/25 (even though I already wrote one a few months ago) but with 5 stars this time because of the super outstanding service I received (between 230pm and 330pm). I ordered my usual (Country Breakfast and hot lavender latte in a to-go cup) and sat down to do a bit of work while waiting for the food and drink (they don't have wifi by the way, I used my hot spot). Food came first and the gentleman (I didn't get his name, not too tall, rather slim figure) asked if I was waiting for anything else so I mentioned the latte. He then brought it to me in a mug (probably an oversight from the staff making the drinks) so I asked him if I could get it in a to-go cup. Totally not a problem, he went back to the kitchen and brought the latte in a cup. He stopped by after a few minutes and placed a fly fan on my table to keep the flies away (I think he saw I was using my hand every now and then to make them go away lol) and towards the end of my meal, he noticed I hadn't touched my pancakes. He asked if I wanted a to-go box. He did all this with a smile, gentle voice and such a warm demeanor, I didn't even have to lift a finger, he was on top of everything. I wish I knew his name but the gentleman taking orders was absolutely born for that job, his attitude made our experience so much better. We both had the carnitas Benedict for brunch, and it was amazing. This benny is served on toasted focaccia, with an ample portion of tender, flavorful meat. The sauteed onions and peppers amplify the savory dish, the poached eggs are not runny, and the whole plate is enlivened by the mildly spicy "Santa Fe" Hollandaise sauce. There was a small side of fresh fruit. We both had to take some of the benny home, as there was too much to finish and it was just too good to leave behind! You order at the counter and grab a seat in one of the many seating areas (indoor and out). We opted for al fresco dining right on Tujunga Avenue, because sitting under the trees and watching the world go by is one of the most pleasant aspects of Aroma! But there is also greenery of every type in the back and side areas, too. Don't worry too much about the line. Coffee, service, and environment are all 5 out of 5! The latte I had was delicious, the matcha looked good too, and as is always the case I wish I could try all the menu drinks. Lots of cool signature items to choose from. The eggs Benedict breakfast was good but didn't blow my mind and I felt was lacking some more going on. Perhaps buttering the bread before toasting to get some flavor absorption but it overall felt too dry to me between the eggs, bacon, and bread. It still tasted solid, but there wasn't an explosion of messy flavors that I was hoping for out of it. When my friend's omelette came I was wishing I had gotten that which was loaded with stuff, plus hash browns plus toast. I felt a bit hungry still after mine and had to eat each component separate cause there wasn't really anything pulling it all together. Might as well have just been bread, bacon, and poached eggs all separate. Still enjoyed the full time spent there, had a productive business meeting over this breakfast meal, and was at least glad to get some fruit intake, but I would recommend getting something else in addition if you order this or that the spot give this item a little refresher and upgrade.
