And that's one of the key ingredients for a lazy Sunday. The only thing to stress me out this time is choosing from like twenty amazing menu options. After debating, nay agonizing, back and forth while waiting in line, I landed on the Huevos Rancheros. The golden crispy tortilla shells add a nice crunch and they're generous with avocado portions. As for the Matcha Latte, it's perfectly frothy. Next up: The Country Breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy & buttery. The cute strawberry banana garnish was like a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. We had a great experience at Aroma this weekend! The line outside wasn't too bad and it moved relatively quickly. You order and the go to find a seat! I wish I knew his name but the gentleman taking orders was absolutely born for that job, his attitude made our experience so much better. Aroma service and quality is much elevated since my last visit. I'm very happy with my breakfast quesadilla with grilled chicken. Everything tasted fresh and it was a huge portion cooked perfectly with a crisp flour tortilla and tender chicken pieces. I stopped by Aroma Coffee to get some coursework done. It's a cute spot, with outdoor seating and some indoor space for working or socializing. I was greeted warmly and went for a brown butter toffee chip cookie, recommended by the cashier absolutely delicious. I paired it with an iced vanilla oat milk latte, which was good, though not extraordinary. Everything was brought to my table, but I quickly realized there were no outlets and no Wi-Fi. While I appreciate the focus on community, sometimes you need a spot to plug in and get things done. Still, the atmosphere and the cookie made it a 4-star experience. Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and I'm surprised I haven't tried this spot earlier! The restaurant itself is huge, there is so much more seating than it looks like there would be from the outside, with a beautiful patio in the front and the back of the restaurant. They have a breakfast and a lunch menu, both with tons of different options. Our server was amazing-- he was very quick, helpful, and attentive and overall his positive energy made our experience very enjoyable. Shout out to him! You place your order at the counter, where there's usually a line, but it's kept moving at a decent pace. The service here is always super cheerful and friendly! After placing your order, you find a table somewhere and they'll bring it out to you. My go-to's here when it comes to food are usually salmon dishes such as the Grilled Salmon Salad or Grilled Salmon Sandwich - both are delightfully fresh and have a generous mix of toppings and ingredients. I especially love the delicious sauce they put in the Grilled Salmon Sandwich!! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it - YUM!! For seating, there's plenty of tables both in front, inside, and in courtyard like spaces on the sides and in the back. Wherever you sit, it's always a very lovely and relaxing vibe. Writing this review live on Saturday 11/1/25 (even though I already wrote one a few months ago) but with 5 stars this time because of the super outstanding service I received (between 230pm and 330pm). I ordered my usual (Country Breakfast and hot lavender latte in a to-go cup) and sat down to do a bit of work while waiting for the food and drink (they don't have wifi by the way, I used my hot spot). Food came first and the gentleman (I didn't get his name, not too tall, rather slim figure) asked if I was waiting for anything else so I mentioned the latte. He then brought it to me in a mug (probably an oversight from the staff making the drinks) so I asked him if I could get it in a to-go cup. Totally not a problem, he went back to the kitchen and brought the latte in a cup. He stopped by after a few minutes and placed a fly fan on my table to keep the flies away (I think he saw I was using my hand every now and then to make them go away lol) and towards the end of my meal, he noticed I hadn't touched my pancakes. He asked if I wanted a to-go box. He did all this with a smile, gentle voice and such a warm demeanor, I didn't even have to lift a finger, he was on top of everything. I asked the server if she can clean it - she (mid 30s tall female) rolled her eyes and replied "I don't clean tables" she didn't even say that she'll send someone, she didn't wait for a response - she just left. And mind you this is a place where a simple plate of salad (that is not fresh) is 25$. We ended up cleaning the table ourselves with very few napkins we of course had to ask for. The total bill was 70$ for two people. The coffee is also extremely mediocre and just... not tasty. A joke. Just another LA slop restaurant that is only doing well because most of its customers are elderly ignorant people. Nothing about this place is fresh or welcoming. Will not come back. And yes, I think a lot of the 5 stars reviews are paid for or sponsored, because no way. read more

Had a lovely experience here when I was in the area and in dire need of some caffeine! When I arrived, there was a line but it moved quickly. The service was friendly and helpful. I opted for a lavender vanilla latte with oat milk. The bakery case looked enticing with some delicious looking vegan treats that I must come back to try! I wasn't in a pastry mood or else I would have gotten one! The seating both inside and outside was almost full, but I somehow managed to grab a table inside. The seats were very comfy but my table unfortunately wasn't very clean. Since I was just there for coffee, I didn't mind, but had I ordered food, it would have been an issue for me. The cafe was cute and cozy and had some old fashioned decor. It kind of felt like being at my grandma's house and made me feel a bit nostalgic! The drink itself was amazing. Coffee, service, and environment are all 5 out of 5! The latte I had was delicious, the matcha looked good too, and as is always the case I wish I could try all the menu drinks. Lots of cool signature items to choose from. The eggs Benedict breakfast was good but didn't blow my mind and I felt was lacking some more going on. Perhaps buttering the bread before toasting to get some flavor absorption but it overall felt too dry to me between the eggs, bacon, and bread. It still tasted solid, but there wasn't an explosion of messy flavors that I was hoping for out of it. When my friend's omelette came I was wishing I had gotten that which was loaded with stuff, plus hash browns plus toast. I felt a bit hungry still after mine and had to eat each component separate cause there wasn't really anything pulling it all together. Might as well have just been bread, bacon, and poached eggs all separate. Still enjoyed the full time spent there, had a productive business meeting over this breakfast meal, and was at least glad to get some fruit intake, but I would recommend getting something else in addition if you order this or that the spot give this item a little refresher and upgrade. The restaurant is situated in a converted house, which adds to the charm. You place your order at the front entrance, they give you a number, and someone will bring your food/drink to you. The display case is filled with a variety of scrumptious desserts to tempt you while you wait your turn. Resistance is futile and no doubt you'll add one to your order. The gentleman that assisted us was an absolute doll - very kind and patient. We initially were going to sit out in the back patio, but a cute little table nestled next to a cozy fireplace caught our attention. Sitting here felt like being at home in someone's living room. It was the perfect spot to chat and enjoy some tasty food and drinks. I had a glass of sparkling rosé, some fries, and a vegan chocolate chip cookie. Shushanik ordered the Chuck Angus Burger and a slice of Red Velvet Cake. (The portions are generous.) The fries were delicious as was the cookie. The M. Crazy, but it's really that good. For take-out and pick-up, there is a separate window on the side. Most of the seating is outdoors. It's perfect in the warm months, and can be a bit chilly in the winter. Parking is a bit of a challenge. I usually am successful in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. My husband and I walked in at 8:37 pm to order food and Jake (manager) took my order. He told us " we close at 9 pm and you're welcome to eat here but, just know you have until 9" which I thought was weird to say to a paying customer but, we still sat down to wait for our food. When our name was called my husband went to get the food and it was packed in a to go bag and we never asked for it to go. My husband said "we didn't want it to go" Jake then said "I told you, you had until 9". So basically he was implying we had to scarf down our food and leave by 9 pm. At this time it was 8:51 pm. Jake said "You have 9 minutes to eat". At this point my husband basically tried to express his feelings towards the bad customer service. It didn't make anything better! Jake STILL stood his ground on us leaving by 9pm. My husband told Jake that we would be doing a Yelp review about the service and Jake responded with "have fun yelping". We ended up leaving right away because we did not feel welcomed. It was 8:53pm when we exited the premises. As we were walking out I saw another employee walking out the side door rolling his eyes and waived his hand in the air gesturing "go away". I asked him what was that for? And he said he was talking to his co-worker seemed kinda obvious it was towards us. As many times as we've been to Aroma and knowing the owner as well as at Alcove. I would have never thought I would be treated so horribly. The food was not even good when I got home. I hate that I spent my money there. The food was made in a rush and it was cold. read more

They said it was "always like this" and, be warned, there was a line down the block! Apparently this is a house that was converted to a restaurant and I want to give it four and a half stars. The biggest challenge here is parking which I say because I parked two blocks away (not the restaurant's fault by the way). The food is great and they give you PLENTY, the staff is exceeding nice and patient and I will definitely be back with friends! The place is bigger than it looks from the outside, really comfortable inside and out, and it has a quiet laid-back vibe that makes it easy to hang out and enjoy your food. I started with a café latte and it was smooth with just the right amount of bitterness. Nothing fancy with the foam, but it was still a great cup and definitely hit the spot. For breakfast I went with the Masters of the Universe plate. It came with chicken sausage, egg whites with spinach, black beans, and some warm tortillas. The sausage had a nice char to it, the eggs were light, and everything together made for a great meal that was filling without being too heavy.
