My first mistake was choosing this location. Always loved Nordstrom and this location is very close…read moreby. After several unanswered phone calls, I was advised by a Nordstrom manager to make an appointment. Both my husband and son needed suits for our other son's wedding. When we arrived for the appointment, no employee could be found. After twenty minutes of a search by Nordstrom employees, a phone call was made and it was determined that the employee wasn't coming in that day because they were sick. Very disrespectful to all the customers not to notify them. Basically, Re-scheduling was a logistical nightmare since they were booked up probably due to the incompetence of employees calling out on a whim and my husband got an appt sooner. He asked about my son getting moved up since, by this time we were cutting it close for the date. He said they refused to accommodate and said they would call us. No phone call. After calling about ten times myself, he stopped by with my son and again, the Nordstrom employee tried to assist in finding the Indo employee but she refused to come out of the store room and hid. They advised my husband to go to the Bethesda location which we are now scheduled to do. I can't believe we have six men getting suits from here- that's about $3600.00. My husband and I are paying for four-$2400.00 and they are hiding in a store room. That's so unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. Very poor training. We had questions that they could have answered. Can we order the same suit online for the others and do the alterations after it comes in? Can we use any coupons for these expensive suits? They were unhelpful. My son in law actually has ordered his online and got a better deal so I will pay less for his. Just talking to the customer is basic retail service 101. The idea is to sell, sell, sell. Not turn customers away!

But one of my colleagues suggested that I give this spot a try. Compared to the other shops, I was surprised that they had a huge selection. This store doesn't look big from the outside, but it sure is on the inside. It felt like aisle after aisle of a good mix of all brands. I went up and down the aisles to look at styles and found a style I liked. I was in luck here, I found a style and my journey was coming to an end. On top of finding a style I liked, they were having a sale that I could buy one and get one half off. Needless to say, I got two of the styles in different colors and headed to the counter. The big thing here that irked me was the line at the register. There was a full on line for checkout with only one register open. The employee was working as quickly as she could, but what was off putting about it was that there was another employee mere feet away. Acting like he was blind and couldn't see the line while going through shoes at the counter.

But the shoes were display shoes and the actual boxes of shoes were not around. So here is the fun part. Even though there were 3 employees in the store, and I was the only customer, I could not get help. I even found a 2nd pair that I wanted to buy on the spot as well, but again it was out of place and it is a huge store so I didn't know where the corresponding boxes stacked by size were. I also had a question as to whether both were part of the buy-1-get-1-half-off special, but honestly I like them so much I would have bought them anyway. 1 guy was on his head phones and gave me instructions not to bother him until I found what I wanted. Another guy pointed at something and then ran to the back to straighten or something. And a girl, another employee there, ignored be even though I said "excuse me" three times to get her attention. After I gave up and walked away, the girl looked up, looked at me like I was crazy to try to talk to her, and gave me the Gen Z stare on steroids after I was half way across the store. As I said, I was the only customer in the store. I realize none of those kids wanted to be there, or wanted to work, and were probably trained by mgmt to ignore customers and just straighten or get ready for closing an hour ahead of time, but I finally gave up and left. Maybe I'll order them online, or from another Off Broadway, or find look-alikes elsewhere since everyone is selling pretty much the same styles. Gee, I wonder why in-person sales are down? Just close the effing stores if you don't want to sell anything.

With no problem. I prefer the ones that don't go between the toes. I'm not sure about all the bad reviews but I've never experienced a problem with customer service or rudeness. Actually no one helped me because I knew what I wanted and checking out was a breeze. Maybe timing is everything. I thought the cashier was very nice. No rudeness there. I will continue to get my sandals here. They actually last for years. Price was ok. You sometimes get better deals on two or more purchases. I only needed to add one more pair to my collection. I am now an owner of five pairs. All different styles.

Like, absurdly so. Even the inventory is lacking (unless it's hard for them to keep things in stock) given the many options online. There isn't much "outlet" pricing here either. If not for my need to prioritize supportive (and hopefully stylish) shoes, I would indeed shop elsewhere but this is the only location in reasonable proximity. Maybe that will change soon, but perhaps not if employees don't have or receive better customer service training.

They contacted the manufacturer (Majestic) and came back with a better credit okay'd by Majestic that I couldn't pass up - had the credit in my PayPal account the very next day. These guys were fantastic to deal with and kept in constant communication - never waited more than an hour after any question I asked.
