I am not going to lie, we were nervous reading web page that dogs are unattended at times. Our pup is 6 months and has never been left unattended away from home. We got there and did a tour around 11. We were pleasantly surprised with the room and areas they had. We felt it was clean for the number dogs and locations they had. It appeared organized with knowledge of dogs and temperaments and who goes where. I did express several times, I was fine with Stanley being left in a kennel by himself. We were only going to be gone for a few hours and was concerned with just the 2 staff folks there and all the areas for dogs to play. It does seem they have regulars so know the dogs well and who would play well, with whom. I appreciate the ability to text. I checked in about an hour after we left, all was well. I received a text a couple of hours with a short video of him smelling an area with another dog. I was a bit concerned they took him out with another dog but thankfully, he was fine in video and when I picked him up. I am definitely a helicopter mom and worry but I would have hoped my wishes were honored, of him being alone. I was able to enjoy by time zip lining while my boy was watched. I did not find it dirty, I felt for a huge kennel, it was fine for me. Kennels are going to smell and get dirty & maybe there could be more staff but I would recommend them. The only suggestion, if you are adamant about something-get their commitment they can deliver. Again, Stan was fine and it is my own issues to some degree but had something happened, we know the review would have been different.

We've also struggled with the dynamic between our two cats--our male cat would bully our female cat while we were out of town, which caused her to have litter box issues. Since having Lisa care for them, the issue has completely resolved. She genuinely spends time with them, makes sure they get the playtime and attention they need, and goes above and beyond with their care. She has even offered thoughtful suggestions to help improve the relationship between our two cats. I would 1000% recommend Westside Pets to any cat parent! I've had several sitters in the past who would come in, scoop the litter box, and leave after five minutes. Lisa is completely different. Being that I was so new to the area, I didn't have any friends on the central coast that I knew or trusted well enough yet to come and check on my elderly cat and feed her. I did a little research and found Shelly. She was wonderful! She came over and did a consult with me about my cat and what was needed before I left. I was nervous about putting someone I had just met in charge of my kitty and giving a key to my house, but by the time she left I felt like my sweet fur baby was in good hands. And I was right! Shelly went above and beyond and took out the trash with the litter scoopings and brought in my mail which were things that I did not ask her to do. Plus she sent me daily reports, which really helped give me peach of mind. You know when you worry that the worst case scenario is going to happen you go out of town and your pet will get sick or (worst case scenraio) die? I know it's silly, but it's easy to worry about that and we've all heard those occasional terrible stories. Well Shelly's daily reports really put me at ease. I told myself everything is going to be okay and I don't need to be coddled, but it turns out that having the daily report really helps me! So I love that about her services. I had such a great experience with her that I used her the next time I needed to leave town, even though by then I had made friends with a neighbor I could have asked, but with Shelly I knew that my cat would be well taken care of and I could rest easy while out of town. Joanne and Michelle have taken care of our two cats multiple times over the past few months, and most recently Michelle noticed our elder cat with diabetes was not acting herself. She immediately informed us when her condition worsened, and after calling the vet to schedule a visit, and with practically zero prior notice, Joanne came and took our cat in. The quick response from Michelle and Joanne no doubt saved our cat's life, as she was starting to undergo diabetic ketoacidosis and needed to be transferred to the ER. Throughout the entire ordeal, they checked in with us as we rushed to come home early. They treated our cat as if she was a member of their family, and I'll always be indebted to their incredible compassion and care. With every visit, Michelle and Joanne always give us a quick rundown of how the visit went, and spend considerable effort to make sure both cats are fed and taken care of properly. After having experienced several less attentive sitters, the team at Posh Pet Sitting are simply among the best when it comes to caring for your pets while you're away.
