To be able to trust Springdale with large, senior dogs whose only source of stimulation is the walks and playtime the staff provides them with has made all the difference in the world. We have gone on so many more trips since finding this facility- the girls always come home happy and exhausted! They are great with communication when needed, but for the most part I get to enjoy my trips knowing "no news is good news" and that they are always loved and cared for when they are here. Cannot recommend them enough- staff is so friendly and I feel so lucky to have a boarding facility that I can 100% trust. I recommend them to absolutely everyone!

She usually chugs a bowl of water and takes a nap when we get home because she was playing so much. The staff is great too, you can tell they're all dog lovers. It's great to know she's gonna be happy and safe whenever I leave her there. Also the report cards are great, and they usually show up right when I'm missing my dog.

They told me though I was out of the country I had to pick up my dog as he was anxious anf snarled at someone I wonder he is a golden retriever. Was threatened that if he bit someone the dog police would take him and I would never see him again. I had made what I thought great arrangements for that time period not thinking there would be 60 dogs there on a noisy hot weekend. I am not going to lie, we were nervous reading web page that dogs are unattended at times. Our pup is 6 months and has never been left unattended away from home. We got there and did a tour around 11. We were pleasantly surprised with the room and areas they had. We felt it was clean for the number dogs and locations they had. It appeared organized with knowledge of dogs and temperaments and who goes where. I did express several times, I was fine with Stanley being left in a kennel by himself. We were only going to be gone for a few hours and was concerned with just the 2 staff folks there and all the areas for dogs to play. It does seem they have regulars so know the dogs well and who would play well, with whom. I appreciate the ability to text. I checked in about an hour after we left, all was well. I received a text a couple of hours with a short video of him smelling an area with another dog. I was a bit concerned they took him out with another dog but thankfully, he was fine in video and when I picked him up. I am definitely a helicopter mom and worry but I would have hoped my wishes were honored, of him being alone. I was able to enjoy by time zip lining while my boy was watched. I did not find it dirty, I felt for a huge kennel, it was fine for me. Kennels are going to smell and get dirty & maybe there could be more staff but I would recommend them. The only suggestion, if you are adamant about something-get their commitment they can deliver. Again, Stan was fine and it is my own issues to some degree but had something happened, we know the review would have been different.

Sarah, the trainer, had the perfect background credentials, self-confidence and philosophy so I signed up my dog to be trained by her at the dog resort. The protocols for safety (physically and emotionally) at the facility are outstanding. Soon,I met with Sarah and she developed a training proposal which I approved. My dog came home from daycare TIRED and less clingy each time he went there. When his training was complete, I was shown how to do the trainer's commands and motions and now my dog's demeanor in our home and in public is calmer and our relationship is at a new level of trust and respect (both ways). I feel very pleased with both Lucky Dog and Sarah and highly recommend both for both daycare, boarding and training

We've been a big fan of Woods Humane Society for a long time. We adopted our first dog together…read morefrom Woods about 15 years ago and they were great. Then we adopted a cat from them, their cat room is amazing. So nice to get out there and be able to actively interact with multiple cats and meet one that fits you. We now have adopted another dog from them. It is great that they keep getting animals from other shelters and adopting them out. Our new dog had some stomach issues, but everything was clearly disclosed on the records and they send you home with everything you could need. The free vet check is a really nice plus. We look forward to joining the classes for our new dog once she is fully healthy and cleared to go. We enjoy supporting them through donations as well because they do such a great job.

I'm pretty sure she was abused probably by a man because she's scared to death of my son. She's still skittish with me sometimes. The collar and harness she came with were too loose and she escaped five minutes after I got home. She ran up on the freeway. Luckily, a kind driver managed to catch her and returned her to Woods. I thought I would never see her again. She was lucky she didn't get run over and I'm lucky to have her back. I bought an escape proof harness and put a different collar on her which I made sure was snug enough to not slip over her head. I almost brought her back, thinking she would never warm up to me, but I'm glad I didn't. She scared to death of a leash or anything like the collar and harness. She finally warmed up to our other dog and they play all the time. She is very playful with me when she's not scared. It just takes a lot of patience when a dog like this. Woods must have known she was an escape risk because at Woods carried her out to my vehicle. Any other time I have gotten a dog from the shelter, I always took the dog out the door and to my vehicle. I just wish they could have warned me. It almost caused her to get killed on the freeway.
