Baked in Amador was open for the farmer's market ( they're usually only open Thursday tru Saturday) with their awesome sourdough bread and pastries which sold out within 10 minutes! They told me it was because they had to check to see if it had corn because it was such a late season for July. I truly believe that there's a better way of checking to see if there's corn on the cob other than tearing it open and drying it out maybe next year The young man on the phone said, just push it close the best you can and put them back in the refrigerator. Sad half of the ears didn't have much corn on them. If anything. I believe you could just feel the Cobb without tearing it open and you'll know if there's corn in it or not but thank you. It actually feels more like a town get together than a farmers market. (Which isn't all bad) For entertainment there was a guy playing guitar and singing. It seems as if everyone in town shows up for this event, which is nice for the community. As an outsider it felt a little akin to crashing the party of someone you don't know as everyone knows each other. Although everyone was friendly, it just felt a little odd. I picked up some tomatoes which I plan on using tomorrow with my BBQ. As a community event I would give it four stars, as a farmers market I give it three.
