    Combo 1

I went with the Combo1 and honestly, it was SO good. The chicken was fried to perfection -- crispy, golden, super flavorful on the outside, and still juicy and tender inside. The burger is massive (like seriously, one could feed two people if you're not super hungry). Totally worth the price and such a great value. Only thing is, by the time I got to the last few bites, it started to feel a little heavy. But overall? 100% recommend if you're craving a big, satisfying chicken burger.

Came back for the hot chicken sandwich and it's delicious! Batter is so light and crispy and super juicy. Though I got hot, it's barely anything. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches for sure As for the sides, would pass on them... the potato salad was so overwhelmingly tasting of corn and the fried pickles were not fried enough or with any flavor

Combo - chicken tender wrap with side Mac and cheese

Very clean and open inside. We ordered online and picked up inside, staff was very friendly and efficient. We ordered one combo with 2 pieces (medium spicy, it was spicier than most places' medium level spice) and it comes with a side, we went with Mac and cheese. The second combo was chicken tender wrap with Mac and cheese. The chicken wasn't dry, right crisp, came with coleslaw inside the wrap, if you don't want something heavy, the wrap is a good balance with something fried. The Mac and cheese was ok, nothing too special or flavorful, might try the fried pickles or Cajun fries next time instead.

Flavors - 4/5 Textures - 4.5/5 Presentation - 4/5 Value for Money - 4.2/5 Would return? Yes First impressions? This sandwich is no joke--it's hefty and it slaps just by the looks of it. I opted for their fried chicken sandwich at a Medium heat level. Classic Nashville hot chicken flavors shine through, though the Medium heat level leaned towards the mild side. The chicken itself was crispy, with a thin batter that held its ground, though it verged on the dry side. The size of the sandwich throws off the proportions, making it a bit tricky to get that perfect bite with everything. The pickles are the secret sauce here--they tie it all together beautifully.

Really good fried chicken sandwich spot in Allston. I was skeptical when I walked in because it was so empty. We got the chicken sandwich-mild combo with cajun fries. My cousin got their bowl with mashed potatoes, corn, chicken, and gravy. If you like the one from kfc, you'll like this. I was surprised the chicken stayed crispy even in the gravy. I love fried chicken sandwiches and this one was an 8/10. I love that they give you gloves to eat the sandwich.

Amazing chicken and sandwich. Highly recommended. The service was kind of slow for fast food, but it was still not sub par.

I'm so impressed by the quality of chicken here! Each piece is fried to perfection-- the breading is crispy, crunchy, and flavorful, while the chicken itself is super tender, moist, and lightly seasoned. No dry or soggy chicken at Underdog! I decided to go for their combo #2 which had 3 tenders and 1 side for $14. The tenders came with some of their dipping sauce which was a flavorful spicy mayo. I got the tenders with their "crazydog" spice level-- if you have a high spice tolerance, this is a good spice level for you! It had a manageable spice level for me. For my side I got their fried pickles and was shocked at how massive the portion was. Their pickles are sliced thinly and the breading on them is thick. The pickle got a little soft from being fried but the breading more than made up for the crunchiness. Like others have said, this is not the cleanest meal you'll eat but they do provide gloves!

Fried chicken is life! It's 2022....I am done making excuses for my chicken habit. If there's a fried chicken sandwich to be had, I will unapologetically answer the call :-) Underdog hot chicken...has there ever been a better name? One of the newer additions to the ever changing Allston food scene features a simple concept, simple menu, but big big flavors. Nashville hot inspired chicken doesn't get enough shine if you ask me. Well....in this case chicken tenders. I'll admit a tender sandwich isn't only different, but it almost feels sacrilegious. Underdogs sandwich features 2 huuuuge crispy and juicy chicken tenders(your choice of heat level), topped with coleslaw. Normally I am not fan of slaw but this provides a good cooling element to balance the heat. The breading could have used a little more seasoning in my opinion, but this is overall a great sandwich. The real underdog here are the fries. Hot, crispy, well seasoned. Easily one of the more enjoyable fries I've had in a very long time and instantly my favorite version In the city. Fans of chicken sandwiches unite....Underdog is not to be slept on!

Came here on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy as I assume we arrived pretty late near closing time. Food came out at a decent time. I got the sandwich, fried oreos, lemon fries, cajun fries. The cajun fries had the right amount of spice and crisp to it. The sandwich was mid, not sure if I would order again. The chicken definitely had to be juicier. The fried oreos were also mid...would not order again. I would come back for the fries!!

Excellent chicken ... eaten there few times and consistently moist, fresh. Have multiple heat ranges to choose from... I started at medium and now mild and still plenty heat. Tried the fried Oreos and they were good, but should use the double stuff ones as more cream needed in fried cookie... Staff a well oiled machine as tons of Uber eats or other delivery pickups non stop... prices reasonable too ... I wish this place was around when I was a college person in area ...

3.5/5 Pros: -Crispy chicken -Huge sandwiches! -Good variety of sides Cons: -Would be great to have a sandwich only option instead of having to buy a combo -Would also be great to have a spice option in between mild (which tastes sweet) and medium (which is pretty spicy--even spicier than the Nashville hot at Upper Crust, which is still my #1 local spicy chicken sandwich) -The sandwich is made of tenders which is kind of unwieldy Overall, this is definitely a spot for fried chicken sandwich fans to check out!

Wow, this place is really really good! I got the chicken sandwich combo with fries, and it took a while for the food to be ready but that's because they freshly prepare it to order which I really appreciate. The chicken was so crispy and moist, and the breading never really got soggy even though I had leftovers the next day. Fries were also crisp and delicious. I only wish we had the option to do 2 half sides! It's a bit pricey for just fries and a sandwich, and I noticed that the combo used to come with a drink, but not anymore. Drink options are just canned sodas or water, so it's really not a huge cost for the store. Nonetheless, it's worth paying extra for the quality of the food!

There are a few things I really want to look for in a chicken Sammy. The bread was good. Nothing got soggy. It was thick and tasted great. Chicken was moist. Had good crunch from batter. But the sauce had no flavor but spicy. You know? I wish it had more flavor. But.. the kaleslaw. Omg. It. Was. Amazing. The slaw overshadowed everything. It made the sandwich for me. Sauce had no flavor? Np. The slaw got you.

Was getting tired of the McD's and Subways so I finally gave Chutney's a go. So far I've had their Tikka Masala wrap and Chutney's chicken rice bowl. I like how you have the option of choosing how you want your meal to be- either in a rice bowl, a wrap, or in a nanini (panini-look a like). You also have the option of choosing chicken or lamb which is pretty fancy. Even though Chutney's is Indian food, it still has the fast food assembly line element. Once you choose your style of meat doused in curry, then you're prompted in choosing what vegetables you'd like sprinkled on there and what additional sauce you want. It's like the Subway of Indian food. Their chicken I've had so far is too dry for me, but I don't know if that's just how it's done with Indian curry (I rarely eat Indian food). The curry on the other hand is flavorful. Their rice is really fragrant and reminds me of Thai white rice. You really don't need to add any additional sauce when they prompt you to choose once because the flavoring from the curry itself is just fine. Drinks wise, I tried their home-made mango lassi and it's so good! Mango lassi is a mango-yogurt drink and I loved how you could really taste the mango and the thickness of it all. Chutney's is a little pricey in comparison to the other stalls. With a meal and a drink, it'll cost you an average of $7-9, but the meal itself is very filling and something refreshingly different when everything else is starting to get old.

Separately, each sandwich is around $10 and onion rings are $6.50, so the combo is a ridiculous deal. The onion rings are also a HUGE bag so definitely worth the money. For my 2 sandwiches, I got the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich and Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich and both were great. The fried chicken here doesn't really feel like fast food - it feels like real chicken meat that isn't greasy at all. The seasoning is good and the sauces are great too. Even the buns felt like good quality! Of the two sandwiches, I preferred the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich but both were top tier. The honey sandwich had honey mustard sauce and veggies with a nicely grilled piece of chicken on it. The balance of flavors and fresh veggies with the flavorful chicken was just perfect. 5/5 for sure. The Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich was also very good with a tangy sauce coupled with cheese and pickles. The fried chicken on this was crispy and full of flavor without feeling unhealthy. I would have liked a few more veggies on here, but it was still a solid sandwich. The onion rings were SO CRISPY too. And the bag was huge - probably at least a full onion. The fact that if you ordered 2 sandwiches and onion rings separately, it would cost about $26 but the combo is only around $17 is great value. The food doesn't feel like fast food, and I was completely full after eating the meal. 5/5 would definitely return!

All the staff were very nice and accommodating, even helped me bring my order to my car. The food was delicious & well seasoned. Got lots of compliments from those who ate it.

I've wanted to try this place for a while and it was a great opportunity this week when I went into…read morethe office. This place is right in the Kendall Square area, an easy walk from all of the tech companies. 10 piece fried chicken - Chicken was decent sized and definitely not bulk ordered chicken. This was marinated and spiced in-house. It had good strong flavor, with a hint of ginger that stood out. I think it's ginger, at least. Enjoyable, not dry at all. I would get it again. Chicken cheese patties - they were dry and not that cheesy at all. This saddens me as the place prior to them opening served the best chicken cheese patties in the area. Chicharron - Kind of over cooked and dry. The skin is definitely crispy - almost to a fault as most were too hard to enjoyably bite into. The dryness was the worse. Plaintains were okay, tasted more like potatoes but I think thats how they are supposed to taste anyways. Service was good. Checkout was easy with tap-to-pay. The place looks clean and had 2 or 3 small tables inside.
