Sweet & spicy Chicken Wings
Madow N.

The chicken wings were a pleasant surprise - worthy of 4 stars. Well seasoned, coated, a little crunchy, juicy, and a generous portion for the price. The pizza and mozzarella sticks were just ok - hence the 3 stars.

Ordered Rock City (Randolph) after running around getting errands done and living in a town that has numerous pizza/sub shops or any other kind of food choice you could want available we chose Rock City just because of everything we have heard about it since new owners took over... well I can honestly say Rock City dropped the ball on my order I've got no idea if whoever couldn't read what I ordered or I got what they felt like giving me?? I ordered 3 meals 2 of them where correct the way they had been ordered then there is my order for Fish, shrimp combo plate with Rice Pilaf.... With a price of $20.49 what I opened the bag to when I arrived home was a fish plate w/ French fries $14... I chose to send a email via the Rock City Pizza web sight to see how they where going to make this right... i have still have not heard from Rock City Pizza about this... I will say the fish was very good as for the French fries I could not say because I don't eat them so they got thrown away..

Baked Ziti -Chicken Parm

I have now eaten here twice and really wish I knew about this place when I first moved here. My first order was a pineapple and pepperoni pizza. I would have had a picture of it but I ate it before I could make it home . That's just how good it was ! So cheesy and the crust baked to perfection. The Baked Ziti Chicken Parm did make it home and it was just as good and filling !! I am in love with this place and I will definitely be back. Did I mention the employees are just as nice. I leave with a smile every time.

Not quite in my neck of the woods, I was brought out here to Rock City Pizza by an expiring deal voucher. Yeah, but I had to buy it first - I thought a voucher would be a good reason to try this new to me place, and so it was! Rock City Pizza is located on Cambridge Street between Twin Donuts (where Cambridge Street and North Beacon Street meet) and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. It has the center spot of a short strip of businesses. And is actually quite roomy within, with the open kitchen/counter area to the left, a seating area to the right, and a rather open space between, bordered by the drink case and a chip rack along the back. One young gentleman behind the counter was rather friendly and chatty, while the other two older fellas were busy at work. As it was my first visit to his business, I attempted to obtain recommendations. He resisted at first since he felt that it depends. True. But he was willing to tell me his personal preference. Wing Dings over Chicken Wings. I was told that Wing Dings are pre-seasoned and battered and frozen. Chicken wings are fresh, but later tossed into your choice of sauce, and he wasn't into sauce. Sure, the fresh wings were larger, but he sold me on the Wing Dings which were $9.99 for a small on the board, but he said it was ringing up at the register at $8.99. To that, I added a side of onion rings $3.99 and a large Chicken Pesto Supreme $16.99 (Pizza Cheese, Pesto, Tomato and Chicken), which turned out to be his favorite pizza. When the pizza came through the oven, he took it out of the pan and stuck it back in - he likes a crisper crust. My, so do I! This order was to-go. But still, even after I got my bounty home, I liked it! The chicken and tomato chunks were large enough to keep them from drying out through the baking process, the crust wasn't too thick, the wing dings tasty even without the sauce. The onion rings were a bit highly battered, but still enjoyable.

Wow - what a great deal. I ordered the 2 Sandwich Special which comes with 2 chicken sandwiches of…read moreyour choice and then either fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings, all for just $16.95! Separately, each sandwich is around $10 and onion rings are $6.50, so the combo is a ridiculous deal. The onion rings are also a HUGE bag so definitely worth the money. For my 2 sandwiches, I got the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich and Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich and both were great. The fried chicken here doesn't really feel like fast food - it feels like real chicken meat that isn't greasy at all. The seasoning is good and the sauces are great too. Even the buns felt like good quality! Of the two sandwiches, I preferred the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich but both were top tier. The honey sandwich had honey mustard sauce and veggies with a nicely grilled piece of chicken on it. The balance of flavors and fresh veggies with the flavorful chicken was just perfect. 5/5 for sure. The Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich was also very good with a tangy sauce coupled with cheese and pickles. The fried chicken on this was crispy and full of flavor without feeling unhealthy. I would have liked a few more veggies on here, but it was still a solid sandwich. The onion rings were SO CRISPY too. And the bag was huge - probably at least a full onion. The fact that if you ordered 2 sandwiches and onion rings separately, it would cost about $26 but the combo is only around $17 is great value. The food doesn't feel like fast food, and I was completely full after eating the meal. 5/5 would definitely return!

We ordered a bucket of drumsticks in honey bbq sauce and wings in soy garlic. They were packed with rich and bold flavors. Most importantly, it was juicy! The Mac and Cheese was creamy and cheesy. The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.
