foie gras and uni hand roll with uni hand roll
Yixin L.

I'm glad I found a place which sells items with uni. I got the foie gras and uni hand roll with uni hand roll for takeout. It was interesting how they had the sauce on the side for you to squeeze on which was convenient for takeout. Unfortunately the uni in one of their rolls was not as fresh so it was a bit bitter and had a bit fishy flavor instead of sweet for fresh uni. Wish I could have tried more of their hot food items so the rating is only based on the freshness of the rolls. There was no parking lot in the front so you have to find a parking spot along the street with limited spaces. I got takeout but there were no utensils in my bag. Wish they had provided chopsticks or a spoon/fork.

After spending several hours at the nearby Museum of Fine Arts, I walked around 15 minutes to Fenway for this top-rated restaurant in a strip mall essentially. After opening a very heavy door, a server will direct you to a table in their single dining room. Within minutes, I ordered and was enjoying my food. For lunch, I ordered the small boneless garlic soy chicken wings. They were very filling. The outside was crispy yet the meat inside juicy. It comes with a bowl of pickled things to offset the flavor. The grape soda was a perfect pairing.

After returning home from a trip yesterday we wanted to order food for dinner and the hubs wanted sushi so we ordered from KChickin for pickup. I ordered the miso soup and the spicy chicken entree which come with rice - and it was definitely spicy - very tasty but spicy - true into its name! We also ordered the garlic fried rice either chicken- which was very mild but tasty and comforting. The hubs ordered the Philadelphia roll, spicy tuna roll and the spicy salmon roll. He enjoyed all the sushi. Miso soup was good, warm, comforting maybe a tiny bit too salty but really good and had small pieces of silken tofu and seaweed. Everything was fresh when it arrived. Order was ready when he went to pickup. Only thing they didn't ask for his name when he had ordered although he mentioned it just as they were hanging up. So when he went to pickup and he said the name they could not find the bag. Then he told them all the items that were ordered. And then they were able to find the bag. Anyway, no big deal! Overall food is consistently good and service and ambience are great too!

Wings Soy Garlic (20 piece!)

Solid Korean fried chicken spot serving up other Korean and Japanese dishes -- including sushi! Located in the heart of Fenway, KChickin is known for their juicy yet crispy wings. We got their classic soy garlic wings which were packed full of flavor. Only downside is that some of the wings, near the bone were pink. Service was super friendly, our food came out quickly and we were seated basically immediately. The place seems like the perfect spot to grab drinks with a friend over some wings. It's a smaller spot with not too much seating either. I do wish there was a spot to hang coats as the seating is all stool seating. Overall, good vibes! Small tweaks I would personally suggest is ensuring that the chicken is 100% fully cooked and adding a spot to hang coats. Would def come back here again to try their sushi!

Boneless Chili Basil Wings

I came here for dinner on a Thursday and it was pretty busy but we were sat immediately! We both ordered the kimchi stew and shared a small order of the basil chili wings. The flavor of both dishes was amazing. This might be one of my favorite tofu stews I've ever had! The wings could have been crispier but still so yummy! I would definitely come back to support a small business! Highly recommend this spot!

3.5 stars, this restaurant was cute, parking was tough, lots of the parking was permit only for the apartments. We ordered the tofu, soy chicken wings and KChick Don. The chicken wings were crispy and delicious (kinda pricy for 6 wings), the tofu was a nice texture but kinda lacking flavor. My partner had the KChick Don, he said he enjoyed it. Service was good!

Absolutely delicious fried chicken! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. You can tell everything was made fresh and with care. Portions were generous, and every bite was addictive. This is hands down some of the best fried chicken I've had in a while. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made sushi. Every bite was delicious and well-balanced. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends!

The restaurant is bright/vibrant decors with small tables . Perfect for small group of friends and couple to go grab fast but delicious Japanese/Korean food. We love the Super Bowl and super rainbow and the hotate bomb! They don't take reservations so make sure to plan ahead

Foie Gras Handroll with Uni is the best have here. Great price for the handroll. The multiple country concept spreads the quality thin. Bonchon is the better choice for chicken. A full sushi concept is better for sushi.

Came in here before a Red Socks game while we were visiting Boston. Wide selection of Korean and Japanese options to choose from. Service is fast and efficient. Food was also pretty good. Nice place overall.

I'm in Boston for a few days and was craving some Kimchi Tofu Soup with this chilly weather and KChickin did not disappoint!! We started with some Tteokbokki as an appetizer and it was delicious. While it was hot you could taste the spice a bit more but once cooled you could taste a bit more of the sweetness. Kimchi Tofu Soup is one of my all time favorite dishes and their recipe is amazing! We got a medium spice and it was a bit of a kicker but so yummy. The service was phenomenal and all the servers were so attentive. The ambience is super cozy and they had a few spots to hang our coats (which I really appreciate). I would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone who is in the area!

Great service. Ordered chicken wings and gyoza which were both so yum. Clean inside and plenty of seating.

Boston's biggest hidden gem!! This Korean-Japanese fusion spot is a MUST try for anyone who loves authentic asian flavors. Located right in Fenway, this restaurant is so cute and the staff is incredibly friendly! In addition to a great atmosphere and service, the delicious food they serve makes this a 10/10 dining experience! Everything we tried was packed with flavor! Their extensive menu is sure to have something for everyone and will satisfy any craving imaginable. This spot mastered the crafting of texture and flavor pairings like no other spot in Boston! My personal favorite dishes were the Soy Garlic Wings, Super Bowl, Katsu Curry, and Redsox Roll! But truly you can't go wrong with anything you order! P.S. I've been a hater of seafood my entire life and I'm not even joking when I say their Super Bowl and Redsox roll converted me!

The menu was large and had some great dishes. I ended up ordering the mango milk tea and the spicy pork bibimbap. My food take a little longer than my partner's to come out which always leads to that awkward "should I start or not?" question. Thankfully it didn't take too much longer for my food to come out. The milk tea tasted great! Very refreshing and not overly sweet. I wish there a little bit more mango flavor but it was by no means bad. The real star of the show was the bibimbap. The portions were large and all of the food tasted fresh, very flavorful, and came out hot. Although the restaurant seemed unassuming this was probably one of my favorite bibimbaps I've ever had. The staff were also very nice and apologized for the wait. They come and collect your plates when finished. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area even though parking can be a bit tricky!

Meats were delicious and cooked great! Definitely on the pricier side but worth the splurge for a nice date or meal with friends. Parking can be a doozy but if you circle the block there is street parking on the opposite street. Would definitely go back, this is Boston's best upscale-esque kbbq that I have had. While I appreciated small touches with being able to put your jackets in a plastic bag under your seat, everything else fell a bit short. The quality of the meats and produce was a bit disappointing. The onion our server used to flavor and start our grill with looked dry, the pumpkin seemed to have a bit of frost as though it were frozen, and the overall quality of the meat was a bit lackluster. Even towards the end of our meal, even when our server told us the meat was ready, a couple of pieces were still raw. The banchan was not bad and the bibim naengmyeon we had was probably the best part of our meal. Sadly I don't think we'll be back based on our experience.

We started with a salmon yamakake ($13) which had a very fresh, delicate flavor. The grated yam adds a super gooey texture which might not be for everyone. Both of us went for hot udon dishes and tried the beef sukiyaki ($20) and roast duck ($25). I loved how the broth in each dish was unique, super savory, yet light at the same time. I was initially a little bit annoyed at the price point for these dishes, but after seeing just how much protein each udon came with, I felt that the price was very fair. The udon was bouncy, chewy, and a decent portion size. I ended up having to take some leftovers home. Of the noodle soups I've had in Boston over the past year, I think the broth at Somenya has been my favorite! I can't wait to come here again to warm up with their broth on a cold winter day.

We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

As for the food, it's good but not exceptional. The bulgogi stood out, served with onions and green onions alongside a portion of rice. The corn cheese was also enjoyable--salty, satisfying, and paired with a generous serving of chips. Service, however, leaves room for improvement. When we asked to move from the bar to the bar tables due to a leak above us, we were required to close out our tab first and didn't get waited for a while which felt inconvenient given the situation.
