I went to eat there last night and ordered the fettuccine pasta with chicken and it was creamy and the chicken was good it's just that the sauce was bland. I don't know if they forgot to season the sauce. And tonight I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger but the patty was burnt and dry. The bread was tasty and it comes with no sauce. They should put grilled onions instead of raw onions since grilled onions compliments the mushroom really well. Customer service? They're good. They should hire more people tho. Ambience is good I just hope they improve on the quality of the food. read more

If I could give it no stars I most definitely would. I don't even know where to start. We had a party of 8 and every single persons food was bad and something was wrong. The toasted raviolis were way overcooked and bad. The "garlic bread" was literal hotdog buns. Mashed potatoes were instant and tasted like chemicals and water. The chicken Marsala was breaded chicken which isn't even right. Barely got asked for refills. Pizzas cheese was gross. Another problem. The food wasn't all delivered at the same time and had 10 minute intervals. The mozzarella sticks came out frozen and still stuck together. If I could put 0 stars I would, save your money and eat elsewhere! Our server informed us that the Chimichurri is frozen, and when the rest of our food came out it all tasted like frozen food. The mash potato's were instant, when they brought out the mozzarella triangles some of them were still frozen. We ordered a chicken Marsala, on the menu it stated it's sautéed chicken breast and it came deep fried and the server said that's how it's supposed to be. The toasted raviolis have no cheese in them and were so over cooked. The garlic bread was just cheese melted on hot dog buns. We asked for a pizza with jalapeños and a side of ranch, they put green bell peppers instead and a side of parmesan cheese not ranch. Buried way in the bowels of the hotel... Pretty limited menu. Took over 10 minutes just to have someone bring a menu and take my drink order (unsweet tea). About 10 minutes later I got my tea and ordered. Had the empanada appetizers. Took over 25 minutes for them to come out and they were luke warm. Had some kinda pesto chimichurri type sauce. Didn't taste like either. Burped it the rest of the night..... won't go there again if I'm ever back in St. Louis. read more

I needed a quick meal during my stay at this Double Tree and the Underground Burger bar met my expectations. The restaurant was clean and spacious which allowed me to get some work done during my meal. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and made an effort to keep my beverage filled. I am on the road 40-45 weeks a year and live at Hilton properties. Tonight at a Doubletree at the St. Louis airport. I already lower my expectations for hotel restaurants, but sometimes not low enough. In the basement of the hotel, it was quite packed with what could only be trapped hotel guests. They had one server. And I assume one person in the kitchen. I ordered a burger. Generally a safe bet in these situation. I was wrong, very wrong. Good bun, with two well over cooked burger patties. Maybe not their first time on the grill? No flavor other than the Ketchup (God bless you Heinz!). Recommendation. Eat before you drop off your rental car and head to the hotel for the night! read more

Those shitty reviews you've been reading. Believe them. Arrived 25 min before closing was told "to go" orders only, ok no prob. Received Shitty food, shitty attitude from behind the bar and Shitty service. As I received my shitty pizza with no bill, I proceeded to eat what I could there. Shitty bartender about blew a kidney, but I just ate my shitty pizza right there (politely, without making a mess) till he FINALLY brought me my bill. The only issue I had was there was only one waitress waiting on all patrons. She was awesome but bless her heart she couldn't refill drinks quick enough. She was waiting and being the bartender. Shame on the Double Tree for not having enough staff. The food was good when it was served. I'm giving a 4 star rating based on how hard the waitress worked. Waited 15 mins for water that we never got just to be told that it would take 30-45 mins for food. There were literally 10 people inside.

Unfortunately the labor shortage has hit this establishment. Those who are working are busting their butts but it's just not enough. Sad to see and feel bad for them. The food was good but unable to keep up. read more

Food was okay but it took almost an hour to receive. After I ordered the server told others coming in only one person was in the kitchen so it would take 45 min to an hour for food. Time to pay, server disappeared for another 20 minutes. If you've got nothing better to do with your time this is the place to go. read more

The whole staff makes a great team from the bartender/ hostess, to the waitress to the cook everyone was so friendly and made is feel at home. We had Burgers, Chicken Alfredo, and chicken Cesar Salad. The cook seafood this food to perfection. Seemed to be short staffed and unprepared. I have some serious food safety concerns as I witnessed lemons being cut on a bar back counter alongside a plate that had been cleared from the bar. Server was coughing into her hand and didn't wash hands before filling several drinks for a table. That's what I saw front of the house, not sure what back of the house looked like. These along would have been major issues for a health inspection. read more

Staying the night at the DoubleTree before an early morning flight and didn't want to drive or go out. WOW! What a treat! The burger (The Mexican) was fabulous and the service was so wonderful! And accompanied by Zwickel beer (local to St. Louis). Yum! read more
