I'm not going to lie. I was a little nervous when I pulled up and the parking lot was empty because I'm always leery about going to empty restaurants. We got inside there were a few people and it didn't take us long to get seated. They had tables and slot machines and a full bar. They also had pool tables in the back that people were playing at. As we were there longer more people starting to come. I loved the server that we had because she was running all around the restaurant by herself. There was another server in attendance who pretty much the whole time I was there for an hour, she was talking to the table behind us, I was kind of disappointed that our server was left to mingle all the tables, but she was doing a great job so shout out to her and she had the cutest little belly bump! The food was excellent. Everything we had was good. We originally came there from a Taco Tuesday advertisement that we seen on Facebook, but I didn't see anything about it when we got there until we were leaving and it was posted right by the door so I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to try tacos but it just gives me a reason to come back. read more

After an excessively long wait in the rental car queue (despite having reservations), this was one of the few joints still open for food. The food itself was good, but not great. Solid value and flavors were present but not mind-blowing. The bartender and the ambiance of the joint, however: world class. Service was very personalized for each party and yet still attentive of each persons' needs. We saw a patron (seemed like a regular) arrive in a Burger King costume+mask; that, along with the various posters and flyers on the walls, made it apparent that there is a strong community built around this watering hole. Off the top of my head, I believe they host karaoke and trivia, among other events. From the perspective of a traveler passing through, I would highly recommend this place if you're a local or soon-to-be! read more

How to start this? Well, firstly I attended this on 04/19/24 about early five pm. I was really looking forward to coming here to see what improvements and what changed with the new owners. Ultimately I was let down BIG TIME. I was really looking forward to making a good review but I couldn't find anything to say good about it. Firstly, I placed my order for a fried buffalo chicken sandwich only pickles and a side of cheese fries. Which came out to $14.84 after tax if I didn't add cheese it would have been $14.34 and remind you this is without a drink. So it is on the expensive side. What was I disappointed by? 1. Timing. It was slow in the building only two couples sitting at the table and 1 person at the bar drinking soda, I placed my order maybe around 4:30ish and it wasn't ready until what my receipt reads is 5:21. Which is almost an hour just for a sandwich and a side of fries! 2. Pricing The quality and size of the chicken wasn't that good to be worth over $10. It was thin and lacked of the buffalo sauce; the bun was quite hard itself. The flavor was not there but the chicken just didn't match the pricing it's listed at! Along side the fries were crispy which is a good thing but just to do a tiny bit of shredded cheese disappointed me heavily. 3. Random former employees. There was a guy that used to work there that was just all over the place going into the kitchen, he got a shot drank it went to the pool than told the lady that he didn't drink it so he could get a free shot, he was whispering things to an older guy at the bar, and I get it you knew the employees and all but it's a business at the end of the day. But as I said I was looking forward to this but was let down by multiple things. I probably will not be back not recommend this place to anyone. And it's upsetting especially since I live walking distance. read more

i just landed from texas coming from cali been doing some traveling for a certain tv show going around checking places we could recommend. so let me say from the moment i walked in it was quiet and clean but the bartender was an older lady and she wasn't too welcoming, she looked bothered from me walking in there were only 2 ppl at the bar. so i sat down introduced myself kindly, she didn't seem to care so i got a beer and a shot then i proceeded to look at the menuto, the lady next to me tried to order a beer but the bartender ignored her. a group of gentlemen came in and they seemed like regulars because they got all the attention, i finally order food after about 20 min there were specials of the day she didn't bother to tell me, either way i got a pork steak it was covered in bbq sauce it screamed st louis all in all my food was a 5 out of ten i also paid for the juke box but the bartender continued to lower the volume to barely even hearing it so i wasted $20 .. either way on to the next stop im not giving up on st. louis yet read more

I am hoping today's visit was a misstep and not the way things will be, I am getting to like this bar but today's visit was not enjoyable. I got there about 1130 and planned on meeting my wife and one of her client's for lunch. There was a total of six people at the bar when I got there and after sitting about ten minute's the bartender came over and asked how many and what I would l like to drink. I ordered beer and informed here there would be two separate checks. I then asked about a specific type of bourbon and Pam simply said no and walked away. Pity I really wanted some bourbon this afternoon so those sales were lost to another bar. My guests arrived and ordered. Two of us asked to hold the lettuce and tomato but they were on the sandwiches when they arrived. Having done my time managing a restaurant I am very cognizant of food cost and try not to waste food. My "fried chicken" sandwich was grilled and both the cheese and bacon were cold. The final issue the bills were not separated and when I asked Pam about this she let out a loud sigh and when my wife went to pay her bill, getting the receipt was hard and then when we asked about her change we were given six dollars instead of the seven that should have been returned. I hope Pam liked that dollar because that was the last money / tip I will spend on her shifts. Here's a tip for everyone go later in the day. Seems like things run better then. read more

Stopped her for lunch after landing in St Louis to visit family in MO. Was looking for a place close to the airport. When we arrived and seated ourselves the waitress/bartender took a while before she brought us menus. After getting our drinks and taking our order of salads it took about 45 minutes to get our food. There was only one other group of people there and a few at the bar with others who came in to the bar then went to the pool tables. The waitress/bartender was doing a good job serving the bar and the tables but the kitchen was slow. After the other table finally got their food it still took awhile for them to get our salads. Hubby's buffalo chicken salad was okay but my chef salad had too much onion and meats were not cut through or evenly. I think if they had more staff in the front and kitchen food service might be faster read more

If you're thinking, "what the hell was Justin doing at a bar in St. Louis?" I can promise you I was wondering the same damn thing. Flying back to Los Angeles from Chicago after Christmas had me connecting through St. Louis which I'm sure would have been fantastic except for the gazillion fucking people who were bumped off flights with me due to bad weather around the country. No better way to wrap up holiday times than a 24 hour stint in St Louis, that's what I always (sarcastically) say. So I did what any self respecting lush does: booked a hotel room, dropped off my shit, and immediately found the closest bar to drink down the hyper-irritation I had from sitting in an airport for 15 hours. Not just any airport, but the St Louis airport where two separate restaurants tried to argue with me that chicken stock was in fact vegetarian so needless to say I didn't eat anything other than a bag of chips all day. My hotel told me about Yesterday's and I figured why not, I certainly wasn't going to sit on my ass in the hotel room, drinks and food sounded spot on. End result? Yesterday's was... interesting, in a good way. It's pretty much what I would expect for a rural Midwest bar; greasy bar food, cheap drinks, music that hurt my ears, and very friendly people. I sat at this spot for maybe an hour and a half and the bartender was outgoing and chatty, keeping me company. The regulars told me all about where to get the best food while in town and then talked football with me. All in all I've had plenty of bar visits far worse than this one. I have to say thank you, they made my layover a lot less painful. I got a little buzz, had a little conversation, and then headed back to my room to completely destroy a cheeseless pizza from Dominos. Like completely and utterly destroyed it, within 3 minutes. I have to say for being on the completely opposite side of the country from where I live, Yesterday's did a pretty good job of making me feel at home. I'll take good conversation with chill people over a pompous lounge or club any day of the week. read more

I was staying the night at the Quality Inn down the road, my flight was at 6:10am the next morning for home-sweety-home (So Cal). So my coworker and I had about 12 hours to kill and we found this place. Great dive bar that has cheap prices: domestic bottled beer $2 and Jameson Whiskey on the rocks $3.50. You can order a 6-pack on ice in those metal pails. They serve food but I didn't really see or taste any of it to be able to review that. The clientele seemed to be regulars because they all knew each other and after they (and I) were on our 12th drink, we knew them too. They treated us like regulars; the older ladies calling us "honey" or "sweety" and the older men hugging us and giving life advice. It was awesome!! It's a "come as you are" atmosphere and like I said, a great dive bar. We almost missed our flight that morning by 5 minutes, that's how bad ass it was!! read more

A dive with some redeeming qualities. Clean place with friendly and good service. It's mostly pub food... Burgers, onions rings, chili.... And strong drinks. The bar area has been packed both times I've been in but the dining section has been dark, quiet and empty. Lovely group of locals to talk to and a few nice tvs. It's pretty loud and doesn't seem like a place to watch a game, but I haven't been here when a local game was on, so I could be wrong. This is just a laid back place to go if you're getting drinks and only want some snacks to pick at. I wouldn't say come here with an appetite since the food has been meh at best. read more

Friendly staff, good prices, and delicious bar food. We went during the Cards game on a Friday night and showed up about half way through the game and had no problem finding a table for 4 right away. They run a food special of 50¢ boneless wings and toasted raviolis during Cardinals games so we all got an order of boneless wings with tangy sauce (hot sauce mixed with thousand island) and an order of French Fries and we enjoyed every bite of both of them. Fries had a light coating of flour or beer batter on them but it was just the right amount. We'll definitely be back read more
