I parked on 31 N Arroyo in Pasadena on 1/7/2024 and left the parking receipt on the dash of my vehicle, as mentioned on the receipt and came back to my car with a parking violation ticket stating "parking receipt not visible on dash". I literally left it on the dash of my vehicle just as the other cars next to me did, and I even paid the full $15 all day ticket. I mailed an appeal letter to the Denver, Colorado address in the back of the ticket, but pretty sure the ticket might be a scam, as what others mentioned in their reviews. I was willing to eat the $10 parking fee out of convenience to the place I was going. BUT, my car was ticketed with the claim that my receipt was not visible, even though the receipt was literally on the dash right beneath the area where the ticket was placed beneath my windshield wiper. Naturally, I contested it, but you have to do this through snail mail. Since they haven't got back to me and to prevent getting sent to collections, I paid the bogus charge. I purchased a parking spot at their Green St. lot through the ParkWhiz app. I paid $4.75 to park there from 9:30AM until 2:30PM because I had a meeting at the Sheraton, and it's cheaper than Sheraton's $10 fee. We arrived at 9:45 and there was no attendant on duty, despite Unified and ParkWhiz both claiming that the lot was staffed 24/7. Since I was running late, I tried to purchase parking from their ticket machine, figuring I would get the ParkWhiz pass refunded. At this time, another customer also needed to use the machine. The machine was experiencing "network errors" and wouldn't accept my debit card, nor the other person's credit or debit cards. I called the number on their valet stand, and was told that the Pasadena supervisor would call me ASAP to let me know what my options were. It's now four hours later and no one has called me. I wound up parking elsewhere and getting my pass refunded. AVOID. Great experience with the customer service / Salvador here. I always park at the location right outside of Osawa restaurant on Raymond (in Pasadena). Well this particular time, I wondered to another location for drinks nearby and came back after Valet was closed. Worried I wouldn't get my car back, and certainly not that night, I called the number on the ticket and they told me someone would call me back promptly. That was Salvador. He called back in a number of minutes and waited with me on the phone until I got to the nearby lot where he had his colleague Isabella store my car (after the valet stand had closed down) and had her hold onto my keys until I got there. This situation that seemed stressful at first became stress free due to the help of Salvador (and Isabella). I hope I'm giving the right Unified Parking the review as there are two in pasadena . This place is a rip off. The sign says seven dollars out front l, they charge you $10 going in and if you dispute they will argue with you and tell you can't park there. The problem is it's so over filled with cars you can't even leave once you're inside unless you are parked by the attendant.
