I have worked for a company for a little over 3 1/2 years that has used UniFirst since long before I got here. In 3 1/2 years our fees have gone from $250 a month to almost $400. So the owner told me to find a new company. The new company is giving us the exact same service for less than 1/3 of the price. So I reach out to UniFirst and give 30-days notice to cancel service. I'm informed that an agreement signed long before I ever started working here holds us to a 90-day cancel before the renewal or we auto renew for an entire year. Yep, if you want to be overcharged and get really poor service and then get held to a contract that hasn't been signed in at least 5 years... go here. If you want good service and a great attitude, go anywhere else. Man, even Aramark probably didn't pull this nonsense. Good grief. read more

We have had problems from day one and we are 5 yrs in still dealing with the same issues. Unifirst is suppose to pride themselves on keeps our business looking professional and clothed. How is that suppose to happen when they never deliver the clothes? We went without logo matts for at least 2 years, yet were still charged for them by the way. Every single delivery our guys are missing garments leaving them to wear greasy clothes multiple days in a row. They are unprofessional, on one occasion our previous driver tried to fight an employee of ours. Unifirst did nothing to remedy the situation just a forced apology and he continued to be our driver. I don't know where to even begin. We have been with UniFirst for years. When our business was in West Sac, and when we moved last year to a new location without better judgement figured we would give them the benefit of the doubt. MISTAKE from the very beginning everything has been terrible, they never showed up for weeks to install, and when they did the guy was on the phone the entire time and said he had to leave and would be back and never came back and when they finally returned the forgot the items they needed for our building. They try to over stock and charge us for it, when we asked them to remove it and stop delivering, they try charging for items that have been sitting for months. We we told they were out of mats and they would get us some within the week, never happened, charged for the mats we never received. Last week, we were charged $200 for 8 soaps that have been sitting in our break room since last year. When i called to finally cancel the service the manager just didn't care, and said we would have to buy out our contract and he would put it together and send me an email, never received an email. Today, our service day, Our service guy (who is great by the way unfortunate for him) comes in. We ask for all of their items to be removed like I asked a week ago and was dismissed by the manager, he tells us that his manager will not allow him to take there stuff from our facility. I cancelled a week ago and now they want to try and force their service on us. Its not going to happen. Unifirst is very unprofessional, inconsistent, & just not a good service. They don't respond unless you threaten to cancel and even then they do nothing to fix it and when you are finally over it they make things even worse and threaten you with a bunch of crazy charges, & wont remove their equipment as requested. I would stay far away away from this business, I'd rather purchase all my own stuff off amazon, or Costco then deal with the management and their horrible service and attitudes. They do not care about their customers and it show. END RAANT....come get you stuff!!!!!!!!! read more

The service and the prices are NOT consistent. DO NOT do business with them. They lock you in a contract for years and then up the prices and give you terrible service. Upcharges on everything. Delivery employees with attitudes. They will forget items they are supposed to deliver and then try to charge you for items they didn't bring you, such as logo rugs. GO ELSEWHERE! read more

Been with unifirst over 6 years now.Been with a lot of uniform companies, but still with unifirst. Dwight is the man, he run our route in Santa Clara. Yes, there are less expensive options, but I get great service from them and the small amount of extra money I spend with them is well worth the convenience and quality of service. read more

The staff are very friendly and professional. However, the service we receive from Unifirst is consistently and exponentially sub-par. If I had a say in the matter, I would have switched vendors months ago. There hasn't been a single delivery where I haven't had to call their customer service line to get something corrected. We are up to our knees in red shop rags that have clearly never been cleaned and reek of motor oil. I've called after every delivery to tell them to stop sending us oil-soaked rags and the customer service representative has told me the issue would be corrected every time., but nothing ever got corrected. It is a constant battle with this company, an endless loop of asking nicely, being promised correction, and then getting absolutely overwhelmed with heinous, gaseous fumes beyond my nasal comprehension. I could literally graze one of the unopened bags they delivered, and my hands would be caked with enough grease to style my hair into a pompadour, fry bacon in my cast iron, and slide 300 yards down a waterless slip n' slide. If you like the smell of oil, and you like dirtying clean things, then Unifirst is the perfect company to do business with. If you order cleaning supplies with the intention of keeping things clean and sanitary, then I highly recommend you do business with another company. The fact that the reviews for Unifirst are so high makes me question everything I thought I knew about the art of business in general. Evidently, I can hold myself to the lowest standard possible, provide terrible service and still get rich. It's an endless issue and I cannot comprehend how it isn't an easy issue to correct.... I signed up with unifirst in Sacramento CA. from the start they messed up our order In fact two weeks after I placed the order I called in to check on it and they didn't even know who I was, they had to find my order and even after that it took weeks to get the order delivered, meanwhile they gave me clothes with no names or nothing until they figured it out. If you are a business that needs their services, don't even bother. Our production line depends on towels to clean our machines daily. Not only does UniFirst not provide the complete order of items that we signed up for, but now they don't even show up on the scheduled day which leaves us hanging. We have had to run to Home Depot to purchase shop rags because of this failure of a business. They also run out of certain things and that's unacceptable. For example they are having to ship items from this Stockton location to another location because we have been without for weeks now. Terrible and unreliable.
