This review is specifically for the ATM that never seems to work. I've come by once a month for the past 6 months hoping to make a quick deposit in the morning and the ATM is out of service. Even today I tried using the ATM only to drive up and see it's out of service. The tellers are kind and helpful, but sometimes I just want to be in and out without waiting in line. He was so welcoming, I gave him my ATM Card and he stared laughing I'm like what a wrong? He's advised me my branch relocated. I have been to this branch to 2 day in a row, and I was treated very well by to amazing people that work here! Javier on the 1st day was very professional and super informative as well as helpful in helping me apply for a person loan. The next day I came to deposit some funds and request a new and temporary card (which I got) from this lovely, kind and over qualified clerk named Aileen. Cringingly slow service. 25mins to get $45 in small bills. 17mins in the outside line and 8mins for the teller to figure out some error message to get the Magic Cash Machine to spit out 3 $10s and 3 $5s in cash. 3 tellers available, on a midmorning Tuesday, non-payday, 25mins... unacceptable. read more

This FCU has a serious problem with customer service. Same things have to be notified to them 3 (three) times including 2 (two) times in writing before they can act on it. Their reps also have a liberty to disconnect your calls at will. Hope they can fix this! read more

***Heads up if doing an auto loan or motorcycle loan here and go to sell before while still owing***. I've been with Unify (formerly known as Western Federal) credit union for almost a decade now. I've had multiple loans here. All loans have been just fine. Until now..... I found a buyer for my motorcycle that I was still financing through Unify. So, the buyer that reached out to me is a licensed boat dealer and really knows his stuff when it comes to DMV information. We both made separate calls to Unify asking how it works since i'm still paying on it. My buyer ended up calling and finally speaking to the one person who said it was a simple process and could be done. My buyer drove all the way out from Apple Valley to meet me at this branch. The process we were told was.... We would come in, i'd pay my loan off and in turn. Fill out DMV paperwork onsite (Bill of Sale and then release the title and have it sent directly to him and in his name - the buyer) We walk into the credit union together, I forgot her name-sits at the desk in front of Alejandra Perez (Alex) But, just minutes into the conversation, the Unify employee ended up having an attitude and was extremely RUDE. All simply because my buyer asked her legitimate questions she was incapable of answering. We were simply confirming that the title would now be released to the buyer which she kept telling us was not possible. Even though again, when we both called prior, they said it could be done as long as they had my consent and signed the proper document saying so. After a few minutes of frustration and dealing with this rude employee, my buyer cut her off and asked for a manager/supervisor. We were then greeted by Alejandra Perez aka Alex and asked to go into her office. She asked "what are you trying to accomplish?" The main thing was, i'm paying off my loan, and simply need the title sent directly to the buyer NOT to me.... She says... "no problem" just need to fill this paper out and sign it. Wow.....OK? Why couldn't the previously lady help us with this and why did she tell us NO? The buyer gives me the cash to pay the loan off. Alex accidentally miscounts it....twice. The buyer comes over, we all count it together and the amount was correct. Embarrassing for both me and the. But, the loan is paid and i'm assuming it's a done deal for me. Well..... My buyer again being a licensed dealer, has access to DMV systems. About a week later, he went into the DMV system and saw the title was issued and being mailed to the credit union. What?!! Now as the seller and member of the CU, instantly i'm frustrated and trying to help my buyer out. I had to follow up with Alex at Unify multiple times, each time getting a different answer. After a couple weeks go by of chasing the title down and not knowing for sure where the title would end up, I get a call. It was Alex from the CU stating she had the title in hand. Great.... Kind of, except for the fact that I now needed to go to the CU to physically get it and mail it to my buyer. They offered to send it to him but um......I HAVE TO SIGN IT FIRST! As it was still in my name. In conclusion, rude employee was encountered first. Second employee was polite and professional, but miscounted the money twice. Was told the title would go to the new buyer in his name which DID NOT HAPPEN. I had to go out of my way to obtain it in my hand to assure they couldn't mess up any further. Alex was great but as a whole... I feel Unify needs to know exactly how to handle these types of situations. And the first employee I dealt with, needs to be FIRED! Or go work for DMV, since they all seem to hate there job as well. Should I ever need to go back to this branch, i'll avoid that lady at all costs. I have two more loans still unfortunately with this incompetent Credit Union. Once paid off, I will be switching to another CU or bank. I'm done! read more

If I could rate them a 0, I would. We are working on a HELOC loan and the customer service was absolutely horrid, all the way up to the supposed VP, MaryLou. Our cars cost more than the money requested for a HELOC loan and they came up with a lien on the house from 30 years ago, which is quite honestly hilarious since the house was a dirt hill 30 years ago. The number they provided to clear it up said they didn't have anything under the name or property, all the while, Unify said they had received no response in 3 weeks from this same number I called and they answered on the 3rd ring and helped me right away. We have been members with this bank for over 40 years until today. I REFUSE to give them any of our business after that level of disgust we just encountered. If these were my employees, I would fire them on the spot. read more

The service is really bad at this branch. I went to the branch to add me into her account since she has some medical conditions and cannot do a lot of things on her own like she used to. The teller talk a long time to do that and we had to wait another 30 minutes to get the printed form. She said the manager had to give it to us at first. Update....they called, they were pleasant, they apologized and drop all future requests but ONE. That was a deal breaker since it was just another delay. They request was for ... "Please advise on trust certificate provided, the Settlor of the trust shows "xxxxxman" UNIFY requires the Settlor, Trustee, and the person who the Trust was set up for to be all the same person(s) if this needs to be corrected we can resend a blank certificate of trust again, please let me know. " Obviously they do not understand the trust certificate (a legal document) or what the function of a trust is. I'll still be closing my account after closing on our new property. read more

The Unify credit union has a problem where you can't go online and change security preferences. The Unify employees are not able to make these changes on your behalf. I've personally talked to them about this many times over the last few months, and they don't even have a date as to when they expect to have the problem resolved. I'm taking my business elsewhere and I've been a customer for more than 30 years. So sad that they can't seem to get the problem resolved. read more

They were so busy talking we had to wait forever just to be helped. So disappointed with my experience today. I have been a member for many years. Today, I went to the branch to get a temp ATM card as I didn't want to wait for one to be mailed. I get there 15 minutes before opening, stand in line, they open, I tell the manager I need a ATM card. She tells me there are three people ahead of me and it will be a 30-40 minute wait! Really? This is crazy but I wait! 50 minutes later I'm still waiting. There are three tellers handling simple transactions and two people handling anything other than a simple deposit/withdrawal. The manager comes to me and starts the process of getting my card. Not sure why she couldn't have started this 50 minutes earlier. She gets my info and tells me the card is printing. FINALLY I'm about to get out of here. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting. I get up to look for the manage because I'm pissed. She comes out to tell me the card machine is BROKE!! She offers to have me go to the closest branch to get my card!! Not happening as there's no guarantee that I wouldn't have to wait AGAIN!! I told them to mail it which is what I was trying to avoid!!! Complete waste of time for 90 minutes!! They need to have more staff to handle the other transactions so customers aren't waiting so long!! read more

The new location is nice but your waiting period for a teller is horrible. The new location is too small to have a long line that fills up the lobby while waiting for two tellers. You guys have about 4-6 computers to staff during high peak hours especially on a Saturday. I was waiting 20 min and the line was not moving. I left and went to the LA branch on Sepulveda. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the quality of service. This branch was always busy but now with the smaller and new branch just made the quality of service to be beyond unsatisfactory. Seems like since unify took over from Western federal things have been going down. Anytime I try to use the mobile app I just able always get a error message when I deposit a check it takes up to 30 minutes sometimes to show up when it was Western federal it would show up immediately. Y'all need to get it together with this mobile never had issues with the Western federal app sometimes when money is being transferred from one account to the other an error message comes up saying it didn't go through do it again and now double the money is transferred but the first time it supposedly did not go through smh I may just need to find another credit union. read more
