She needed two people on staff to help her replace the filling (on a molar in the back). She left my tooth not filed down properly so my bite has to be corrected by a new dentist I need to find now. I typically don't leave bad reviews but this practice is incompetent. The back office doesn't manage accounting well and they don't return calls. I suggest you avoid this practice completely. If not, maybe this review will result in them getting things in better operational order.

We scheduled with a second dentist of their choosing for the root canal. Get to the appointment everyone is nice they take us right back, and the dentist looks in my daughter's mouth and ask if the last dentist thoroughly examined her because this is not a root canal and sent us home. We had a crown appointment already set up they said to keep the appointment they will figure out what happened. My daughter explained to them this is all making her nervous that things keep changing no one seems to know whats going on. They reassured her and asked her to keep appointment. Got a call later to confirm our 8am appointment. Not 12 hours after that we get a message our appointment is now moved to 2pm. So, we said never mind we are going to cancel. We wanted to think about this and maybe get another opinion. Today my daughter got a call from this office and they tried to blame her and myself for the messed-up appointments. Told her my phone number was being removed from her file. Talked down to her and over her then dismissed her. HOW RUDE!!!! We were actually thinking of going back to give them a chance to correct this situation and how they left us feeling. Todays phone call fixed that. How can you treat people like that, we were new patients and this is the first impression you want to make.

This office was the quickest to contact me and in place of the old veneer, I had a crown made and the two week wait was worth it! I am now sporting a nice looking set of teeth although the crown is in the front. I am also deaf myself and the staff is very accommodating. The reason for my initial visit was because a sensitive spot on one of my wisdom teeth - they needed to be removed. She was quick to have an oral surgeon refered to me and set up for the removal process. I had also gotten Periodontal gum disease due to not seeing a dentist and having plaque buildup below the gums. She had been able to set up a treatment plan that included deep root scaling to remove the plaque, teeth cleaning, periodontal disease treatment, stain removal, and finally resin fillings. The treatment plan has taken the entirety of 2025 to complete and I am on my way to the last appointment! The process was slowed on my end and visitations had to be spread out due to no dental insurance. I was able to work with them to open an account and take advantage of 6 month no interest promotional plans per visitation instead of paying a full lump sum out of pocket. Will recommend as she is a perfectionist and takes her time to ensure that the disease has recessed and no longer evident before doing the fillings. The resin is not noticeable as the color matching has a wide range to choose from. No pain - no stereotypical dentist inducing fear. It is an in an out experience for a perfect appointment. Don't wait too late even if you have no insurance to schedule with her as there is a reason why she has won awards in the area and has a solid backlog with quite the team to help her out with appointments. The "care" my son received from the older female hygienist was appalling. She immediately got annoyed when he asked his birth sex to be changed from female to male (because medical offices should have the proper patient information for any medications and whatnot). Then, when she started his cleaning, she asked him if he flosses. Now, none of us are perfect and he has a very busy schedule (not that it's anyone's business), but when he answered that he tries to, but only ends up doing it 1-2 times a week, she got upset and stated that he's "no longer 18 and can make time to floss on the way to work". A suggestion is one thing, but to make condescending remarks about such a small detail to a stranger is not only odd, but extremely unprofessional. It gets worse though. She proceeded to dig into his teeth and gums so hard that his head literally jerked back and he had to ball his fists to manage the pain. The dentist finally checked in to see him and said that his teeth looked very nice and he just had some build up, but nothing they couldn't fix. He's the only reason I'm okay with one star being an option. Once the dentist left, the hygienist came back only to tell my son that his teeth looked "bad" and continued the service. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or if she needs to find a profession that makes her happy, but her unprofessionalism on top of her nasty attitude is enough for my son to schedule elsewhere and i hope that no one else experiences what my son did.

Me and my wife chose My Frederick Dentist for our regular maintain Dental Hygiene. It was the…read moremiddle of the day and I took some time off from work. 3D Xrays imaging was conducted to create a 3D rendition of the oral cavity, which wasn't necessary for Dental Hygiene. It was charged to my insurance.Then 2D X-Ray images were taken in duplicates. I don't understand the need for duplicity of these various imaging conditions. I guess, whenever possible they try to take our hard-earned money to furnish their plethora of instruments and justify otherwise.Then, I waited on the Dental Chair for about 15 minutes for Dr. Sang Cho to attend to me. He had a glimpse at the images and started looking at my teeth. After 5 minutes, he wandered off to talk to some other folks and left waiting for another 10 mins. I told them that I had a meeting to attend after the dental appointment. Finally, he spent 5-10 mins cleaning. The cleaning was poorly conducted (in hurry) compared to other dental hygienists. I believe there is a lack of professional attitude to the patient. The doctor ( dental hygienist himself) hasn't spent enough time attentively to do the job properly. Later on he suggested putting a crown on one of my molars. I got a quote of a total of $900 in which $581 out of pocket. Immediately, there was a red flag. I realized this person is hankering for money from his (new) patients. I have previously done dental treatment such as filling and porcelain crown before with the same insurance coverage that cost me $135 out of pocket. My wife also experienced a similar situation from another dentist in Frederick. Later on she went to orthodontics in Gaithersburg for better and genuine treatment. Learning from the past experiences, I wanted to go for a second opinion. As soon as I requested my X-Ray images they were charging $37 for releasing my record... What a double whammy!! I have already paid for my X Ray. I have also paid for their instrument use and now they are charging more money for giving me what I already own. I don't understand if they have to charge more for releasing my report then why isn't it already included for the first time. I would never go back to Dr. Sang Cho at My Frederick Dentist. I suggest to folks who are reading this review to be careful using this dental service. Addendum: Looking at their pricing disparities (see attached photos), to me, My Frederick Dentist is ripping their customers off at a logarithmic scale. Their website shows (called casting a net) the X-Rays and Hygiene service for new patients is provided at $99 but in reality they charged me $481.00. Also, for the same service, fees varied for me vs. my wife. When we tried to report this in BBB - hehe, not a surprise, it's not accredited - indicates that their discriminatory business practices cannot be trusted.

He sets the tone when you arrive. Always positive and happy to see you. Hygenist Ashley, Dr Bowersox, and the Mrs Dr. Goyal are all super professional and really make you feel that you are in good hands. When you leave you work with the billing/scheduling lady and like everyone else here, she's awesome. I cannot think of one negative aspect of the three appointments I've had here so far.

Their sign on the entrance door says, "WE CATER TO COWARDS!" Well that's ME! A really bad childhood dental experience made me really leary about dental work altogether. Here, they are professional, and really do care about your comfort and total satisfaction with your care, treatment plans, and services. FDG offers a variety of dental services, including sedation dentistry (hence the "cater to cowards" slogan). Of course they accept insurance, cash and/or credit, but has also teamed up with Cherry, a financing company that may finance your services (if approved). The office itself is nestled in the Spring Ridge community in East Frederick. It's clean, bright, and comfortable. FDG posts information in various areas of the office for their patients' reading pleasure. There is a beverage station in the waiting area, that has coffee and water to enjoy while you wait... and their ambient music is awesome!
