This place is really nice. It's big in size has seating inside and out. We sat inside had great service. We had crab cakes for appetizers which were really good. I had the steak frites w chimichurri sauce which was really good. My husband had the chicken wings which were good size and he enjoyed them. We also had truffle fries as a side. These were amazing. I came here for Super Bowl Sunday, was prepared to get appetizers, but ended with a delicious entrée instead! I got the shrimp and grits, which was seasoned very nicely, and the shrimp was super flavorful. I only wish I got an extra side of grits on the side, because they were so good and I wanted to sop up all the yummy sauce. We got cornbread to share for the table which was to die for, possibly the best I've ever had! The drinks were amazing as well. I ordered one with blackberry infused bourbon, and it was so unique and perfect with the vibes of the shrimp and grits. The staff were really friendly here and we were accommodated in a big tabletop that had a fireplace built into it. I don't often go out in this area but it was fun to try out something new. I had been warned that the menu was a little bougie... But to be honest that's always fun for someone who is a foodie like me. I dithered for a while but in the end I decided to go with the skillet cornbread. It was so sweet, it felt like a dessert - which is a good thing because they didn't have much dessert to pick from. I wish it had been served with pickles though because I ended up stealing the pickles from my friend's dish next to me (he had ordered something that was much healthier but was kind enough to share the acidity). I visited this spot for brunch this morning. We found parking easily. Wait was nonexistent and we got seated right away. Once seated, our service was a little slow but the server herself was nice. We started with some pineapple mimosas. They usually have a bottomless mimosa deal but they aren't offering it right now during COVID. We also tried the cranberry mimosa and it was OK. For our entrees we had the chicken and waffles and the breakfast flatbread. The flatbread was amazing! The flavors all complimented each other. The chicken and waffles were okay but the waffles were pretty soggy. The flavors were still pretty good. Overall, i would give this spot a try! A nice larger restaurant for downtown encinitas where most places are on the smaller side. We ordered the burger, wings, and gumbo. All the food was good (although we did modify the burger to make it a little more traditional) but i was shocked at how expensive everything was! I definitely didn't expect it for encinitas and hard to justify paying $25 for a burger at a bar/restaurant. Our server was super nice which is a plus. My friend and I here for happy hour on a Thursday. We sat outside on the heated (you will not be cold), dog friendly, patio. They had a very large TV to watch games on as well. Their happy hour includes $5 drafts, $5 margaritas, 1/2 off any bottle of wine, and $10 flatbreads. Was kind of bummed that there was only 1 food item on the HH menu but the other deals are great. I ended up getting a kombucha on tap(was only $5 with the HH deal) and we split the mushroom flat bread. It was a huge portion size and it was super tasty. Sometimes flat breads can be too thin and overcooked but this one was perfect. My friend got the veggie burger and I got the ahi stack. I was very impressed with the ahi stack because it was only $15 but it was loaded with fish and guacamole. It was really tasty and satisfying. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.
