You drop your clothes off, they send you a list of the items they plan to sell, and they take 50% of the proceeds. Anything they don't want, they will donate automatically, unless you ask them not to. Then you get about a two-minute notice to pick them up, or they're gone. Anything that doesn't sell within two months, they also donate, WITHOUT SO MUCH AS CALLING YOU. PS, how are you supposed to know that they didn't just sell your stuff and pocket all of the money? (Is this their way of saying "we donated it"?) They expect you to do all the work--you even have to remember to call them before the 15th of the month just in order to get a check by the end of that month! Funny, I thought the money they made off of my clothes would be enough to offset the small, small effort required to do things like CALL ME when I need to pick up leftover clothes or SEND ME a check. I meticulously washed/dry-cleaned all of my clothes, hung them on matching clear hangers, and all they had to do was attach a freaking handwritten price tag on them. I'll never work with this place again--I thought it was wasteful to donate tons of clothing (most of it was new!) to Goodwill. Apparently, that's your best bet. I went through so much effort--so they could screw me over and give my clothes to the American Cancer Society. Next time I'll just bring it there myself. When I finally got the time to call and ask about my clothes (as in, where's the check, too?), a teenager argued with me and insisted that I should have read their contract. Are you kidding? The only thing missing in that contract was a line stating that "Hey, we're totally random and rude, but we'll be happy to take your money." First she claimed that someone called me to get me to pick up my unsold items. Then she told me I was responsible for calling THEM, so nobody had called me. Such consistency. Impressive. I'm waiting for a call from the manager--but something tells me I'll have to call and remind them about that as well.
